Filmer le capitaine, parfois… demande autant de patience que réparer les WC ! 😂 “C’est pas Hollywood ici !” Dès notre arrivée aux Tonga, on a passé plusieurs jours coincés au corps-mort devant Neiafu, entre pluie battante et vent non-stop. Et comme si ça ne suffisait pas… nos WC ont choisi EXACTEMENT ce moment-là pour se boucher. Devinez qui a dû mettre les mains dedans ? 😅 Oui, le capitaine — et il n’a pas manqué de râler ! Heureusement, après la pluie vient la récompense : le ciel s’ouvre enfin et on met le cap vers un mouillage de rêve, entouré de nature brute avec un banian centenaire majestueux. On y retrouve nos amis, on partage un festin préparé par une famille tongienne, puis on explore un snorkeling splendide : peu de poissons, mais des coraux absolument magnifiques. Et puis… il y a les voisins de mouillage. Certains sont un peu trop proches — ça doit les rassurer, j’imagine. Unfortunately she hasn't been hauled out for a few years and barnacles have attached themselves to the keel and hull.

Day 5 of our Atlantic Crossing, and we officially hit 25% of the passage — a full quarter of the way across. Last night was rough: confused seas, swell from multiple directions, and a whole lot of rolling. None of us filmed because honestly… we were just hanging on. Today was a mix of tired crew, boat projects, and fixing Dingo’s ear (again). Jade built a new double-sided “steampunk” ear splint out of leftover plexiglass, Brett did a full deck check, we battled our confused solar numbers, gave the dogs baths, and tried to keep the boat happy on wing-on-wing. Oh—and none of our devices agree what time it is anymore. Not a dramatic day, but a real one. Just the middle-of-the-ocean rhythm: naps, soft shackles, fruit baskets, frozen grapes, messy seas, and the slow march westward.
