RSHYR 2025 | Min River wins IRC Overall - After little more than 10 years of sailing - which remarkably, has included five Sydney Hobarts and a Fastnet Race – Jiang Lin, with renowned French co-skipper Alexis Loison has won the Tattersall Cup for IRC Overall in the 80th edition of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. Jiang becomes not only the first Double Handed owner/skipper to win the Tattersall Cup, but she will be the first woman to have her name engraved on that famous trophy.

Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race 2025 | Ed Psaltis – Crosbie talks with Ed Psaltis about his 43rd race south on Midnight Rambler, in the company of Tony Ellis, for whom this was his 55th race! In explaining the challenge he was pleased that for the first time in many years this was a small boat race.

British short-handed sailor Ian Hoddle was on holiday in Australia last year when he first met Andy Offord - owner of the Sunfast 3300 Borderline - while out walking the dogs. Roll forward to 2025 and the pair have just competed the big race south as doublehanders on Borderline. Ian also owns and races a Sunfast 3300 shorthanded in his case in the UK, but the duo both speak about how much fun these boats are to race.

In 2024 Edward Curry Hyde and Scott Robertson both completed their first Sydney Hobart race as double-handers. It was an initiation by fire, given the very tough conditions of that race, but undaunted Edward has returned this time pairing up with the very experienced Lincoln Dews. They completed the race in good shape, presently lying third in the IRC Doublehanded division and an impressive 4th overall on IRC.

Grace Shipway has just completed her first race to Hobart aboard the renowned and much-loved S&S 47 Love and War. Her father Peter Shipway completed 31 races south, on two of which he was aboard Love and War when they won the Tattersall Cup for IRC overall. Grace is normally to be found racing aboard Noel Cornish’s Farr 40 Indi, but she hinted that she might be back again for the race to Hobart someday!

RSHYR 2025 | BNC - my::NET / LEON Arrives in Hobart - Michel Quintin and Yann Rigal talk to the media about their race south.
