Before we can venture further, a problem must be resolved. The rudder plate connecting to the steering shaft must be secured. Unfortunately, this is proving very difficult. Despite the 1/2” fine thread castle nut being able to finger tighten all the way, when the rudder plate is added the nut only makes it so far before popping loose. Please offer any suggestions.
