Einfacher und günstiger als hier wird es in Zukunft nicht mehr. Beim Hochdruckreinigen kommen viele kleine Löcher im Coppercoat zum Vorschein. Vasile, der Chef von Slick Hull, sagt gleich, dass dies ein Garantiefall ist und wir das Coppercoat komplett neu bekommen. Ein Mann - ein Wort! Wir nutzen die Werftzeit und stürzen uns sofort in die Arbeit. Aber mehr dazu im Video. Before crossing the Atlantic, we want to convert the through-hull fittings to Trudesign. It won’t get any easier or cheaper than this in future. High-pressure washing reveals lots of tiny holes in the Coppercoat. Vasile, the boss of Slick Hull, says straight away that this is a warranty claim and we’ll get the Coppercoat completely redone. A man of his word! We’re making the most of our time in the shipyard and getting straight down to work. But more on that in the video.

We got smashed by a squall that appeared out of the darkness without warning and ripped our mainsail from the boom. Now we're anchored at the town of Benteng on the island of Selayar in Indonesia licking our wounds, surveying the damage and working out what we can do about it. That’s the thing with boats. When you break something, you fix it and sail on. Crisis averted we head to sea again towards our final stop in Sulawesi at the city of Makassar.
