Photoradio@rocketmail.com In this video I'm shaving with the Bronze Timeless Safety Razor in conjunction with a Willy's Razor blade. The shaving soap is Master Soap Creations Vintage Spice in conjunction with the matching aftershave Splash. The shaving brush is the Yaqi Ever Hopeful Green with a 26mm synthetic knot. I load the wet shaving brush directly from the puck of soap. I then take the shaving brush to my face and apply the soap to my skin. I then gradually add small amounts of water to the soap until I create a nice lather. I perform a three pass shave. First pass with the grain. Second pass across the grain. Third pass against the grain. I then rinse my face with cold water and apply the aftershave splash. #shaving #shavingcream #skincare #shavingproducts #shave #shavingsoap #shavingsupplies #safetyrazors #skincareroutine Thank you very much for your time. please consider subscribing to my channel.

¡Hola, amigos y amigas!

First light and we are on the move to the well-known Paxos which is famous for its stunning waters & atmospheric little village. Being very popular, we are leaving early to hopefully get a spot, with Anti Paxos as our back-up destination. We arrive and although busy, we find a good spot to med moor - our first time! We pull it off pretty well and enjoy what med mooring has to offer. We swim, wander town and get dinner with our newly made friends. We spend a few days here, later joined by another boat friend before heading to our next location & catching Hugh's fish of a lifetime... Want early access to our videos? We spend almost a week in Subic Bay getting the boat prepared for the onward journey, then the real cruising began. Sailing though the islands down to the start of Palawan. Amazing sights and learning to love Miko a bit more every day. Philippines has over 7000 islands, hence the exploring options are incredible.

Gibraltar is always a really interesting place to sail to, in fact it's somewhere every sailor should visit at least once. We've been many times and always discover new things and enjoy our time here. The anchorage here is good but it's on the Spanish side, La Linea, so it's much more convenient to visit the marinas in Gibraltar itself and our favourite is Ocean Village which has some of the best facilities of any marina and is perfectly positioned in the heart of Gib. We had a mix of weather during our stay, but enough warm dry weather to get the varnishing done. I remember usually waiting until at least May to get this sort of work done in the UK so it's great to do it in March. Gibraltar usually has a cable car to get up the rock, so we usually go up in that and walk back down, however it's having a major refurb so will be out of action for a couple of years. This ends up being a good thing as we look for other ways to explore and find a great bike shop right by Ocean Village that rents eBikes, our favourite! We can thoroughly recommend hiring eBikes to explore the rock, it kakes it possible to get around all the good stuff, the caves, the siege tunnels and also the WW2 tunnels which had been closed for a long time so this was our first visit to them. We are very impressed with the Awotrol D1-D2 varnish we are using so far. It goes on easily and looks good. The real test of course though will be how well it lasts. The other thing we were very impressed by was the fishing reel from 'Fish:Helm' which seems like a very good robust design, I'm very much looking forward to using it. You can take a look at their website here: https://www.fishhelm.com/helm If you come to Gibraltar then we definitely recommend an eBike so talk to Stuart at ebike gibraltar: https://ebike-gibraltar.com/ Also you may remember we were trying to find good sailing clothes at METS earlier in the year after a very expensive Musto jacket that we bought in Annapolis just fell apart. Well we opted to get some gear from Henri Lloyd who are really focusing on their sail wear now and have some excellent gear. We've been very happy with the items we got at METS and said so & now Henri Lloyd are offering our viewers a discount, even better! In this episode of Sailing Mirage, I continue exploring the incredible islands of the Bahamas. This time I make a 70 nautical mile solo passage from Rum Cay to Cat Island. As usual, I’m sailing alone aboard Mirage, so the day starts early to catch the tide and strong morning breeze. Midway through the voyage, after clearing Conception Island, the ocean changes character. Long rolling Atlantic swells begin to build — tall enough that at one point a massive cruise ship completely disappears behind the waves, which was pretty funny to watch. Aside from the big ocean swell, the passage turns into a fast and smooth sail. Another beautiful day on the water, surrounded by the deep blues and turquoise waters that make the Bahamas so special. Join me aboard Mirage for another day of solo sailing, open ocean, and island exploration. ⛵ Boat: Amel 50 – Mirage 🌊 Passage: Rum Cay → Cat Island (70 NM) 👤 Crew: Solo If you enjoy sailing, ocean passages, and the beauty of the Bahamas, you’re in the right place. #sailing #bahamas #solosailing #sailinglife #catisland #amel50 #sailingmirage

Welcome to the Sailing and Cruising the East Coast of the United States podcast! In this episode, hosts Bela Musits and Mike Wasserman sit down with veteran media professional and author Dick Stone to explore the remarkable true story behind the construction and voyage of the Mayflower II. Episode Highlights The Origins of Project Mayflower: Dick recounts how a group of British veterans, led by Warwick Charlton, decided to build and sail a replica of the original Mayflower as a gift of gratitude to the United States after World War II. A Tale of Two Visionaries: Learn how the British initiative merged with the dream of New Englander Henry Hornblower, who was simultaneously working to establish the Plymouth Plantation museum in Massachusetts. Authentic Construction: Discover the challenges of building a 17th-century wooden ship using historical designs and materials, and the significance of replacing 70% of that wood during its recent major renovation at Mystic Seaport Museum. Sailing Without Modern Tech: Dick describes the incredible feat of sailing the Mayflower II across the Atlantic using no modern navigation, arriving in New York Harbor on July 1st, 1957. A Presidential Connection: Explore the ship's link to John F. Kennedy, who stood on its decks and whose love of the sea helped spark the "Operation Sail" tall ship events that continue today. Upcoming Tall Ship Celebrations: Get the details on the massive tall ship flotilla gathering along the Eastern Seaboard in the coming months, including stops in New Orleans, Norfolk, Baltimore, New York, and Boston. Why You Should Listen This isn't just a story about a boat; it’s a deep dive into "lost history" and the "special relationship" between nations. Dick Stone, a masterful storyteller with a background at ESPN, NBC, and HBO, brings to life the underdog spirit that saw a wooden replica cross an ocean to become an American icon. Resources Mentioned Book: Project Mayflower: Building and Sailing a 17th Century Replica by Dick Stone (Distributed by Simon & Schuster). Museums: Plymouth Plantation and Mystic Seaport Museum. Events: Look for the tall ships gathering in Boston Harbor and other East Coast ports next summer! Connect with Us Enjoyed the episode? Hit the Like button on your app! To race around the world alone non-stop is pretty special and those that succeed enter an elite club. But when it comes to lapping the planet against the prevailing winds and currents, non-stop and alone the list stops way short of double figures. Last Christmas, solo sailor Guirec Soudée left France to set a new record and add his name to the gang, but his campaign took a very different approach. Instead of choosing a sturdy metal hulled monohull, Soudée and his team decided to take on the world in reverse with a fragile Ultim trimaran. And from that point onwards everything was different. Indeed, some may think it's all the wrong way round. This an extraordinary story about an exceptional young sailor/adventurer who has consistently taken a bold an alternative approach. As we publish this feature he is just a few days from a finish that will see him smash what is one of the hardest records to complete, let alone break. Plus, we have a helping of Docktalk CHAPTERS & LINKS 00:49 Wrong way round, how hard is it? 03:59 Soudée sets off 07:54 Heading for the Horn 09:11 The big route north 12:03 Australian battering 15:31 Cyclone ahead 20:07 Around the Cape of Good Hope 22:30 Heading for Home 26:31 Docktalk - Aegean 600 25:31 Docktalk MC1 Spars

Visit the majestic islands of Socorro, San Benedicto, and Roca Partida in the Archipielago de Revillagigedo. These islands are 250 miles from San Jose del Cabo and home to seven species of sharks, including schooling hammerheads, tiger, white tip reef, silky, Galapagos, black tip, and silver tip. Every year, coast guards find sailboats abandoned and drifting in the Pacific — no crew, no distress signal, no explanation. Here are the five real reasons this keeps happening. But this isn't the mystery most people think it is. After researching official coast guard records, salvage reports, and first-hand survivor accounts, I uncovered five distinct reasons this keeps happening in the Pacific — and the most common one is something the sailing industry doesn't like to talk about. In this video I break down all five reasons: medical emergencies at sea, man overboard incidents on solo passages, financial collapse mid-crossing, seized and scuttled vessels, and the psychological breaking point that long-distance sailors rarely admit exists. If you're planning a Pacific crossing, an offshore passage, or any extended bluewater voyage — watch this before you leave the dock. 🔎 In this video: 00:00 — The scale of the problem 01:00 — Reason 1: Medical emergencies at sea 02:30 — Reason 2: Man overboard on solo passages 04:00 — Reason 3: Financial abandonment (the one nobody talks about) 06:30 — Reason 4: Seized and scuttled vessels 09:00 — Reason 5: Psychological collapse offshore 11:00 — How to protect yourself - Copyright Fair Use Disclaimer: The material presented in this video is not exclusively owned by us.
