Sailing the Eastern Coast of Sardinia | Lagoon 440 Liveaboard Sailing with Dogs – Episode 010 We’re nearing the end of our very first season aboard our Lagoon 440 Kaia, and what a journey it’s been – nearly 1,000 nautical miles sailed from Spain to Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca, and now beautiful Sardinia. In this episode, we slow the pace and explore the rugged eastern coastline, finding quiet anchorages, rustic beaches, and hidden coves far from the tourist trail. Sailing under the headsail, we make a short hop to Punta de S’Achivoni to celebrate Vika’s birthday onboard, before continuing our journey down the coast, surrounded by towering mountains and turquoise waters. EPISODE 008 – Sailing from Mallorca to Menorca | Finding Peace Before the Storm In this episode, we sail KAIA (our Lagoon 440 catamaran) across the channel from Mallorca to Menorca on a shorter but beautiful offshore passage. We arrive just in time for sunset, dropping anchor in the calm waters of Cala De Amarrado. As the season begins to wind down, we explore the stunning northern coast of Menorca with our three sailing dogs —finding true magic in the anchorage of Cala Algaiarens. Here, we slow down, reconnect with nature, and take time to ground ourselves. Vika holds sacred ceremony inspired by her Mayan learnings, and we soak in the peace this anchorage offers. But the weather soon shifts, and we prepare for the arrival of a powerful Mistral storm. We sail to the well-protected bay of Fornells, where we ride out 50-knot winds in complete calm. After restocking and taking the dogs to shore, we continue our coastal journey, catching a fish off Isla d’en Colom and anchoring just outside the entrance to Mahón as the sun sets. Sailing Ibiza to Mallorca | Palma Cathedral, Sail Repairs & Stormy Anchorages - Episode 7 In this episode of Sailing Sacred Seas, we say goodbye to the magical island of Ibiza and set sail on our second offshore passage to Mallorca aboard our Liveaboard sailboat, Kaia our Lagoon 440. With full sails and steady winds, we arrive just in time for a golden sunset in the bay of Peguera.
