Another combined update as I continue through the 75 Hard Challenge. Following my consultation with the orthopedic specialist and MRI scan, I've been given strict instructions not to run until the results are back. While that's frustrating, it doesn't mean the challenge stops. For the last couple of days I've switched my workouts to walking, but with a purpose. Increasing the pace, increasing the distance, and keeping the discipline alive. One of the biggest lessons I'm learning from 75 Hard is that success isn't about perfect conditions. It's about adapting when things don't go according to plan and continuing to move forward anyway. No running. No excuses. No quitting. Just consistent effort every single day. Après une belle navigation le long des Calanques et une arrivée de nuit à Méjean, un problème de fuite sur les inverseurs nous oblige à revoir nos plans. Direction Saint-Mandrier, puis Port Pin Rolland où une sortie d'eau est programmée en urgence. Entre-temps, nous décidons de profiter du temps qu'il nous reste sur l'eau. Le vent bascule à l'Est, les conditions sont parfaites et nous prenons la direction du Brusc, là où Céline a grandi. Devant la maison de ses grands-parents, presque centenaires, nous partageons des moments précieux avec la famille et les amis. Un moment fort, chargé d'émotion, marqué par une tradition maritime symbolique : couper le macoui d'Horizon avec le zodiac familial piloté par la sœur de Céline. Quelques jours plus tard, il faut déjà sortir le bateau de l'eau. Un crève-cœur, mais une étape nécessaire avant les derniers travaux, l'avitaillement et notre départ vers les Baléares. In this episode, our family sails north from Singapore through the Singapore Strait and into the Malacca Strait, one of the busiest shipping routes in the world. With over 100,000 ships passing through these waters every year, we spend our days navigating busy shipping lanes, dodging thunderstorms, riding favourable currents and finding safe places to anchor each night. The trip begins with an unexpected visit from the Singapore police before we settle into life underway. While Timo keeps watch through the night, the kids and I take over during the day as we continue our journey north through Malaysia. Along the way we deal with confusing traffic schemes, muddy water that sends our depth sounder into chaos, curious fishing boats, heavy commercial traffic and tropical squalls. After several days at sea, we arrive in Port Dickson to stock up on fuel and provisions, complete immigration and port formalities, and welcome a new crew member aboard before continuing north with the current. After days of heavy squalls and unpredictable weather, we sailed Stella deep into one of the most remote island chains we’ve explored so far hoping to find shelter, good surf, and a safe place to wait out the storms. And at first… it felt like paradise. We spent our days exploring the mangroves by dinghy, searching for empty reef breaks, surfing perfect waves, and fishing for food while living completely off-grid aboard our sailboat. But everything changed when our friends flew the drone over the bay… and spotted a massive crocodile swimming right beneath them. Suddenly this beautiful tropical anchorage started feeling a lot different. This part of Indonesia is not only known for crocodiles, but also dangerous squalls, strong currents, remote jungle islands, and some of the highest malaria cases in the region. Démontage des bancs en bois effectué afin d’accéder aux zones à traiter. Application ensuite d’un traitement de la rouille à la Férose sur les parties métalliques atteintes. Petit rappel technique noté au passage : L’antirouille sert principalement à empêcher l’apparition ou la progression de la rouille en créant une protection. L’inhibiteur ou transformateur de rouille agit directement sur la rouille existante en la neutralisant ou en la transformant avant remise en peinture.
