In this episode we set sail off the island of Simeulue in Indonesia, headed for Sumatra, in what we already knew was going to be pretty treacherous waters. But we had no idea that just on the other side of the island, a cyclone was forming, which they named Cyclone Senyar. In this episode we interview Dan and Julia, who went through a horrific ordeal in remote indoneisa, where Julia contracted malaria, and no one was able to diagnose her correctly until it was almost too late. Her organs started to shut down, and she puts her survival largely down to the fact that she got an emergency medevac flight back to australia for treatment. She is very lucky to be alive, and this is an eye opener for all of us traveling in these parts of the world….
