⚓️ New Episode Out Now! ⚓️ Sailing Sacred Seas Your support for our tiny channel is really appreciated. ❤️ We’ve arrived in Tunisia — our home for the next seven months. With KAIA safely moored up for the winter, it’s time to settle in and start tackling the long list of boat jobs. We transform the saloon into a more comfortable lounge, build a brand-new cockpit table, and begin making KAIA feel like home. Then we head inland for our first taste of Tunisia, exploring the incredible El Jem Amphitheatre — a 2,000-year-old Roman arena that once held up to 35,000 people. The beginning of a whole new chapter aboard KAIA. ⛵️ Thanks for watching and welcome to Sailing Sacred Seas. #SailingSacredSeas #Tunisia #Sailing #Catamaran #Liveaboard #BoatLife #ElJem Watch our brand new episode now on Sailing Sacred Seas! 🐾✨ #sailingsardinia #solosailing #lagoon440 #sailingdogs #sailinglife #catamaransailing #sailingadventure #liveaboardsailboat #medsailing #sailingwithdogs #cruisinglife #sailingchannel #sailingvlog #SailingSacredSeas #pug #borderterrier

Saying goodbye to Lucas after weeks on board, but the crew swap is instant. Gui is back on Yabá! After a final trek through the jungle to the white sands of Lopes Mendes in Ilha Grande, we run our pre-departure engine checks and set a course straight for Rio de Janeiro. Passing through the colonial fortresses at the bay's entrance, we drop anchor and set out to explore a side of Rio that most tourists completely miss. From local samba and beachside caipirinhas to traditional eats at Adega do Pérola (thanks to a tip from our Patreon, Ivan!), join us as we navigate the city on foot and public transit. ⚓ Subscribe to follow our journey: If you want to see the full haul-out and the technical challenges of maintaining a handmade wooden boat, make sure to hit that subscribe button! → https://bit.ly/3dI3hBn 💌 MP’s newsletter: https://ahoymariapaula.substack.com 🌊 MP’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ahoymariapaula 🤍 MP’s instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ahoymariapaula/ 💙 *Support the adventure:* 🌊 *Join our crew on Patreon* → Exclusive content here: https://www.patreon.com/sailingyaba ☕ *Send us a drink* → via PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=JEA5R5RUDJDLY 🧢 *Shop our gear* → Coolest T-shirts and hats here: https://shopsailingyaba.com/ 💌 *Receive letters from the sea* → Sign up (for free) for MP's newsletter: http://sailingyaba.substack.com ✨ *Want to sail with us?* We’d love to share an adventure with you! But this wasn’t always our life. In 2020, we found Yabá abandoned, sinking, and on the verge of being lost forever. We had no experience in boatbuilding, only a wild dream and the determination to make it happen. We worked relentlessly, learning from the best local shipwrights and pouring everything we had into this rebuild. It took four years of sweat, setbacks, and unwavering commitment, but today, Yabá is more than just a boat, she’s our home, our biggest adventure, and the proof that crazy dreams can come true. #sailingfamily #familyvlog #sailingaroundtheworld #familytravelvlog #boatlife #bucketlist #lifestyle #travel #sailboat 🌴 WE OFFICIALLY COMPLETED OUR WORLD CIRCUMNAVIGATION! 🌎⛵ This week, the adventure takes us to the breathtaking US Virgin Islands, starting on the stunning island of St. John. We explore Trunk Bay, one of the world’s top 10 beaches, snorkel in impossibly clear Caribbean waters, and settle into the kind of easygoing boat life that everyone dreams about—lazy days on the water and dinners with our feet in the sand. 🏝️🤿 Then things get a little more unusual… 😳 As we make our way toward Christmas Cove, we pass the infamous Epstein Island before dropping anchor for something you don’t see every day: pizza from the world’s only floating pizza kitchen! 🍕🚤 But the biggest moment of the journey is still ahead. As Rob and I enter St. Thomas Harbor, we cross our own wake and officially complete our WORLD CIRCUMNAVIGATION. 🌎⛵ After 908 days, 30,248nm, countless adventures, and more than a few challenges… WE DID IT! And because one major milestone apparently isn’t enough, Shannon celebrates her 50th birthday as we prepare to leave the USVI behind and set our sights on our next destination: Puerto Rico! 🎂🎉🇵🇷 Come along for an unforgettable week of Caribbean cruising, bucket-list beaches, floating pizza, milestone moments, and the celebration of a lifetime. The world circumnavigation is COMPLETE… but the adventure is far from over! 🌎⛵❤️ #Sailing #WorldCircumnavigation #USVI #StJohn #StThomas #TrunkBay #CaribbeanSailing #SailingLife #Liveaboard #BoatLife #Cruising #PuertoRico #SailingAdventure #50thBirthday We are a suburban blended family that has raised our 3 older children and now want to travel the world. After planning and saving for the past 6 years, we are now embracing our dream of sailing around the world on our Leopard 45 sailing catamaran. Follow our journey as we Circumnavigate the Globe in 3-4 years on a budget of $4,800/month (food, communication, fuel, insurance, transportation, mooring/marina & fun). We left the USA in October 2023 and plan to visit 26 countries on 5 different continents all while worldschooling a budding teen in our off grid tiny house. 🏆 Looking for boating spreadsheets, inside info or wanna help keep the dream alive? I’ve just finished 3 months of charters in the Bahamas and now I have 4 days to sail to Key West Florida in the middle of hurricane season, to see our new boat for the very first time that we just put under contract, before delivering our old boat to Texas with her new owners onboard! Far out! But this isn’t just another sailing passage... After seven years and over 65,000 nautical miles living on our boat, Sunday was carrying me towards the boat that could potentially replace her! 0:00 - Bahamas 1:45 - Passage Day One 6:40 - Passage Day Two 8:48 - Passage Day Three 11:43 - Passage Day Four 13:38 - Key West MORE SAILING SUNDAY: PATREON: https://www.patreon.com/sailingsunday INSTAGRAM: @sailing_sunday WEBSITE: https://www.svsunday.com

The state of the weed on the River Witham is really starting to get bad. Leaving Bardney Lock behind us, we were confronted with islands of pennywort and sheets of blanket weed.

Welcome back aboard Moor R & R for this week's Adventure! Episode 42 The journey north continues! 🌴⛵ After spending some time in Cairns, it’s finally time to leave the marina behind. We’ve restocked Moor R & R, loaded up the supplies and are getting ready for the next big chapter of our adventure — heading north towards the Top of Australia! But before we continue our journey, we take a little detour into the Cairns waterways to do something we always enjoy… mud crabbing! 🦀 With the boat stocked and the weather looking good, we head out towards the reef. But things don’t quite go to plan. The wind starts building, reaching 20-plus knots, and the conditions quickly become too rough for what we had planned. Sometimes life on the water means knowing when to turn around. So we head back into the shelter of the river and put our reef adventure on hold for a couple of days, waiting for the weather to settle. Come along for the highs and lows of life at sea – the joy of community, the challenge of sailing, and all the fun we get up too !!! If you enjoy our adventures, we'd really appreciate your support by LIKING the video, SUBSCRIBING to the channel, and hitting the HYPE button. Solo sailing the North Queensland coast always keeps you honest — and this trip from Low Island to Cooktown via Hope Island delivered everything from calm morning breezes to towering following seas that rose higher than ARGO’s cockpit roof. Day one started manageable, but the weather built steadily as I pushed north. Day two was a whole different beast: big, intimidating swell rolling in behind me, but travelling with the wind made it surprisingly doable… even if the size of those waves demanded full respect. The race was on between me and my buddy boat to reach Hope Island first — a close, fun run that kept both of us pushing. When I arrived, I refined my solo mooring technique and managed to pick up the buoy cleanly on the first attempt. Approaching Cooktown meant threading through the shipping channel, adjusting course to stay clear of cargo ships moving through the area. Once inside the inlet, I had to anchor temporarily in the shallows and wait for the tide to rise before slipping into deeper water for the night. Another unforgettable leg of the journey along this incredible coastline. Fair winds — and thanks for coming along for the ride. Our five-year mission—bold, improbable, and fueled by salt air and stubborn optimism—has been to go where no one has gone before. These are the voyages of "Moments in Time". Who could have imagined that a meager little YouTube channel called “Sailing with No Agenda”, launched more than five years ago with nothing but a dream and a camera, would still be here today? Yet here we are: 100 episodes later. Still meager, still scrappy, still afloat… and still telling our story. Join us as we celebrate this milestone by looking back at some of our favorite episodes and answering the questions we hear most often from fellow sailors we meet along the way. Sailing with No Agenda began as a way to document the journey from dream to reality—how we found a boat, how we paid for it, what options we chose, how we brought her home, and everything that’s happened since. Now, retired and truly sailing with no agenda aboard our Seawind 1260, "Moments in Time", the adventure continues. Come raise a virtual glass with us. Here’s to 100 episodes behind us… and hopefully 100 more ahead. Wish us luck—and thank you to everyone who has subscribed, supported, or is about to join the crew. Subscribe and share in our adventure! Become part of the conversation on Facebook by liking https://www.facebook.com/SV.MomentsInTime/ As always, please feel free to comment and let us know your thoughts.

The San Blas Islands are one of the most beautiful places we have ever sailed. They are also one of the most technically demanding. Over 100 kilometres of coral reef protects this archipelago — and that same reef has ended a lot of sailing dreams. After 28 hours of open Caribbean, we arrived in Guna Yala. This video is two things: how you actually get a 6-foot-draft boat safely inside a reef system where your chart plotter can be out by 50 metres, and the story of the people who live here — a culture that outlasted the Spanish, took on the Panamanian state in 1925, and won. We came in on high sun with the autopilot off, Maddy on the bow reading the water, and proven waypoints from cruisers who had been here before us. That is not being over-cautious. That is just how it is done here. We also talk about Firefly — experienced cruisers, nine years on the water, lost on the reef at El Porvenir after entering at dusk. Nobody was hurt. The boat was gone. Then there are the coconuts, the molas, and the children of the moon. ⛵ CHAPTERS 0:00 Sunrise After 28 Hours at Sea 1:05 365 Islands — And What They Hide 1:44 Reading the Water: Blue, Turquoise, White 2:34 100 Kilometres of Coral Reef 3:20 The Mistake That Sinks Boats 4:00 Firefly — Lost at El Porvenir 4:54 How We Threaded Our Way In 5:57 Who Actually Lives Here 6:26 The Darién Gap 8:07 The Guna Revolution of 1925 9:18 Guna Yala Today 9:59 Coconuts as Currency 11:13 Molas — Days of Handwork 12:22 Children of the Moon 14:06 Somewhere Worth Arriving 15:00 Life at Anchor 17:16 Fried Fish From Barbecue Island 18:32 A Very Wet Ride Home Twenty-one years living aboard, 120,000+ miles — and the reef systems that still demand every bit of it. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ GO DEEPER — TEAM SSL CREW ON PATREON The systems library. A note on visiting: every coconut in Guna Yala belongs to someone. Do not pick them up off the ground or take them from the trees. Buy them for a dollar or two. This week we’re chasing swell through some of the most remote islands in Indonesia. 🌊⛵ With the waves still pumping, Jesse somehow manages to damage his board… which isn’t exactly ideal when you’re hundreds of miles from the nearest surf shop. Luckily, we remember there’s a nearby surf resort with a few boards and decide to see if we can find him a replacement before the swell disappears. With a new board under his feet, we squeeze in one final session before heading back out to sea for an overnight passage up the coast, chasing the swell to our next surf spot. Along the way we cross the equator, hook a tuna as the sun goes down, and prepare Stella for more than 30 hours at sea. Surfing, sailing, fishing and chasing waves through remote Indonesia — exactly why we chose this life. Thanks so much for watching and following our journey aboard Stella Overboard. ❤️ Subscribe and join us next week to see how the passage goes and whether we find more waves at the other end! #Sailing #Surfing #Indonesia #SailingLife #BoatLife #SurfTrip #SailingIndonesia #SurfIndonesia Dirt Road Traveler by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Artist: http://audionautix.com/ 💙 A huge thank you to everyone supporting us on Patreon — you truly help make this sailboat life possible. In this episode, we explore the ancient ruins of Suakin's White City before heading into the modern town to stock up on provisions. We drive through the streets and get a confronting glimpse of everyday life in one of the world's poorest countries stopping at the tiny supermarket and the fresh produce markets. We then continue north, stopping overnight at Marsa Gwiliab as the northerly winds increase. The following day brings a huge Sahara Desert sandstorm, followed just six hours later by a powerful electrical storm and intense winds in the pitch-black of night. Finally, we reach Port Suez, weaving through a huge field of anchored ships before being measured and prepared for our transit of the Suez Canal. Another challenging and unforgettable chapter of our journey north. We’re Chris and Jo, an ordinary Aussie couple living our extraordinary dream aboard our Seawind 1260 since January 2019 and now we continue from 2024 aboard our new 1370! Our adventure began with an unforgettable journey down the east coast of Australia, followed by a sail to the stunning New Caledonia. In 2020, we continued our exploration further north, and by 2021 and 2022, we circumnavigated Australia, discovering breathtaking locations along the way. Having previously owned fishing and water-skiing boats, our passion for sailing deepened after crewing in South Australia, leading us to make the leap into full-time living at sea. We hope to inspire you, just as we were inspired by other YouTube channels, to chase your dreams and explore the wonders of this beautiful world. We can't believe it. Our cruise of Fiji came to an end. We saw a lot, but there's so much more to see, but that goes for almost every place. Lenny and I move fast, as you know. Heck, some people sail around the world in one year. One year to cross the Pacific was just about right for us, but it did leave us thinking that we'll be back. There isn't any place that we did not love on this entire cruise. Packing up and getting ready to head to New Zealand, we knew it was the end of warm wind and warm water. We hope you enjoy the Fiji finale. www.svhappytogether.com Music: Sailing by Leisure Cruise Sailing by Christopher Cross Wagon Wheel by Randy and the Fiji Guitar Player lol Walking on a dream, by Empire of the Sun.

Osmosis repairs and tackling our sea water leaks. This is boat ownership, so we love when services make it a whole lot easier. Boaters World is offering you 10% off all products on their site www.boatersworld.com.au Check em out and use our code! SAILINGNAKAMA10 We’ve pulled into Hobart, Tasmania, just in time for the winter. We needed a break from sailing, and our boat needed some attention. We thought it’d be a short stopover, but we’ve decided to stay until the weather clears again. Allowing us time to drag our boat onto land and give her some love. We’ve just spent the first couple of days beginning to deconstruct the boat and unfortunately in the process, we found a below waterline issue we ought to address. We're doing osmosis repairs and begin the job of replacing all our seacocks. Which requires bashing out holes in our boat. We're fully committed now. Enjoying the episodes? @boatfools #herreshoff #classicsailboat #Sailboattour #sailing #fiberglasssailboat At first glance, GALATEA looks like the kind of classic wooden yacht that belongs to another era. Look again. This remarkable 38-foot Herreshoff-designed cruising sailboat combines the unmistakable lines, bronze hardware, teak decks, varnished Sitka spruce spars and traditional craftsmanship of a classic yacht with something you might not expect: a composite fiberglass hull with an Airex core. CHAPTERS: 00:00 Intro 00:44 What is a Molly's Cove 38? 02:58 Up On The Bow 08:20 The Cockpit 14:00 The Interior! 17:32 The Galley 18:52 The V-Berth 20:32 The Head 22:38 The Yanmar Diesel 24:40 Final Thoughts On This Beauty! GALATEA traces her lineage to legendary yacht designer L. Francis Herreshoff and his 1947 ketch NEREIA. Built by Molly's Cove Boat Works in 1985, GALATEA is an adaptation of that design, incorporating a counter stern inspired by Herreshoff's other clipper-bowed vessels. And if she reminds you a little of the legendary TICONDEROGA, you're not imagining things. But GALATEA isn't simply a beautiful old sailboat. Her current owner has cared for and continually improved her for 30 years, with an extensive list of upgrades and refit work completed over the years at respected Maine yards including Wayfarer Marine in Camden, Johanson Boatworks in Rockland and Rockport Marine. Among the improvements are a 50 HP Yanmar diesel, rebuilt in 2018, updated electronics, complete rewiring, electric windlass, newer teak decks, custom mahogany butterfly hatch, wheel steering, refrigeration, upgraded galley, solar panels and an extraordinary collection of custom teak and bronze details. Below decks, she's every bit as distinctive. GALATEA features a classic Herreshoff-style interior with white bulkheads, varnished woodwork, teak-and-holly sole, bronze opening ports, a wood-burning stove, generous storage and accommodations designed for comfortable cruising for four. This is one of those boats that makes you stop walking down the dock. She's traditional without being entirely traditional. She's fiberglass without looking remotely like the typical fiberglass production sailboat. And she carries the DNA of one of America's most celebrated yacht designers. So what exactly is GALATEA? Come aboard with BoatFools Sailing as we tour this unusual 1985 Herreshoff Nereia-inspired 38-footer and take a closer look at a classic sailboat that isn't quite what it appears to be. Would you rather own a traditional wooden classic—or something like GALATEA that gives you much of the character without the wooden hull? Let us know in the comments. Real boats, real people, real fun! Sailboats for the Rest of Us! Join us for full boat tours, expert insights, and sailing adventures—all with a touch of humor.
