It all came down to the final moments. The 470 European Championship 2026 in Vilamoura delivered a full week of high-performance racing, where 53 teams, 106 sailors and 31 coaches pushed consistency and execution to the limit. Unstable conditions, constant leaderboard shifts and increasing pressure set the stage for a Medal Race where everything was still open. In the end, Wrigley / Harris (GBR) held their nerve to secure the European title, ahead of Ferrari / Dubbini (ITA) and Xammar / Cardona (ESP). This event also marked a key milestone for the class, with the new Medal Race format raising intensity and redefining the final stage of Olympic sailing competition on the road to LA 2028. Vilamoura once again proves why it stands as a reference venue for Olympic sailing, where the best come to perform. 👉 Full results and photos: https://www.instagram.com/vilamourasailing/

⸻ 💬 Scrivimi nei commenti: Qual è la barca a vela che tu NON compreresti mai? thank Jachtmakelaardij Schepenkring Lelystad for the images and invite you to visit their website to explore listings of these great deals a careful and knowledgeable seller. #barcaavela #giorgioeilmare #barcheavela
► Although the Cape Town–based shipyard Voyage Yachts has produced several models such as the 480 and 580, since 2020 its range had been reduced to the very comfortable Voyage 590, whose build quality we were able to see firsthand at the yard three years ago. ► Since last July, a more compact model, the 510, has completed the range offered by this bluewater cruising specialist. Our correspondent Jonathan was able to discover this offshore catamaran, which benefits from high freeboard and well-designed aft circulation, including dock access through a cut-out in the bulwarks and lowered side decks. ► “The 510 is first and foremost a catamaran designed to accommodate a large number of people on board in well-assumed comfort,” Jonathan reports. “At nearly 16 meters long and close to 8 meters wide, this new model offers a very pleasant living space. The cockpit is spacious, welcoming, and naturally oriented toward the outdoors. Inside, movement is fluid, the cabins are comfortable and bright, and the overall atmosphere is warm. The goal here is not to chase a ‘wow’ effect at all costs, but rather balance and coherence. Under sail, the 510 favors smooth motion with her 22 tons. She moves forward steadily, without harshness, providing a very reassuring sense of security. It’s a catamaran that puts you at ease, that supports her crew without ever being abrupt. You simply feel good on board!” ► Technical Specifications: Builder: Voyage Yachts Architect: Voyage Yachts Length: 51’10” (15.8 m) Beam: 26’11” (8.2 m) Draft: 4’11” (1.5 m) Displacement: 43,000 lbs (19.5 t) Sail area: 1,636 sq ft (152 m2) Drivetrain: 2 x 57 HP Fuel: 2 x 118 US gal (2 x 450 l) Price: $ 1,220,000 ex-tax ► Sign up for our newsletter and win a free two-month subscription to Multihulls World by clicking here: https://bit.ly/48JP1Vk ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 600 multihulls tests! ► For the first presentation of the Aventura brand in the United States, the manufacturer chose to showcase the 38 Fly, one of the four models in the 38 family. The power catamaran, launched just over a year ago in its Sport Cruiser version, is also offered in three other versions; the Multihulls Mag community is well acquainted with the Sedan version, which graced the cover of our latest Special Motorboat Issue. The fourth model in the family will be the Sport, featuring a completely open living area. ► Let's return to the 38 Fly, which had its world premiere at the IMS: the deck layout retains the main features of the SC version – except that the galley is positioned on the exterior side – while the interior layout is very similar to the Sedan version, with a saloon to port and a galley to starboard. Access to the flybridge is via a (somewhat steep) staircase from the aft cockpit. Upstairs, there's room for 10 people; you can (still!) enjoy an outdoor kitchen and, of course, a helm station. A hardtop T-top is available as an option. ► Coming soon to Multihulls World! ► TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Builder: Aventura Yachts Architect: Lasta Design Studio / BE STGI Length overall: 38’ (11.6 m) Beam: 17’5” (5.3 m) Draft: 31” (0.78 m) Light displacement: 17,637 lbs (8 t) Inboard engines: 2 x 250 / 320 / 370 HP Yanmar Price: from € 549,500 ex-tax ► Sign up for our newsletter and win a free two-month subscription to Multihulls World by clicking here: https://bit.ly/48JP1Vk ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 600 multihulls tests! Photoradio@rocketmail.com m1dsu65@gmail.com Muhle Companion Safety Razor. Wickham Soap Company 1912 Russian Leather Shaving Soap. Permasharp Blade. Yaqi Synthetic Brush. Williams Aqua Velva Aftershave. Wickham Soap Company Russian Leather Aftershave Balm. In this video I'm performing a three pass traditional wet shave. I'm shaving with the items listed above. First of all I wet my whiskers with warm water. I then wet my shaving brush and load from the soap tub. I rotate the brush clockwise then anti clockwise, in order to get equal wear on my brush. I rub some of the soap into my bristles to soften them. I then take the brush to my face and apply lather in a figure of eight motion. I frequently dip the brush tips into water and take the brush back to my face until my lather is wet enough. I then splay the brush to build up my lather. I then take the razor and perform a three pass shave. with the grain, across the grain and finally, against the grain. After the shave I rinse my face with cold water and towel dry. I then apply the Williams Aqua Velva aftershave to my face. Then I apply the shaving balm. Come along and see how I get on. Please consider subscribing to my channel 🙏. 🌊 Join me, Jacqueline Evers, on my epic journey around the world aboard my 27-foot Grinde, Loveworkx. In this video I show my preparation back in 2021. This is my first solo night sail. The Dutch Tourzeilers organize a night sail on the IJsselmeer—and I decide to join. It will be my very first solo night sail. Because of the northerly wind, I have to tack the entire way. I leave early from Almere and sail 54 nautical miles in total, arriving at 2:00 AM in Medemblik. The night is beautiful, the boat steady at nearly seven knots—but the final approach is intense. I struggle to see the harbor entrance and must lower the sails inside the harbor for the first time in a place I’ve never been before. It’s a night of focus, tension, trust—and deep satisfaction. 💙 Love my videos? Sailing through up to 38 knots and 4 metre seas, this journey put the boat to a real test. International market for boats. Good prices abroad. How do you benefit? What are the risks? How do you buy or sell a boat internationally? Today at Sailing Maja we got a visit from the International Yacht Broker Rune Riktor at @skippernyachts In this interview he tell us all about international trade for boats and yachts, commercial boats and fishing boat. What are the rules? What are the risks? Why should you use a broker, and when should you use a surveyor? In this video, Rune offers essential business advice for navigating the complexities of selling boats across borders. He highlights the significant risks and opportunities within the marine industry, emphasizing the importance of legal compliance. Understanding international shipping and potentially working with a customs broker are crucial steps for successful border crossing. This episode is very interesting for European buyer and seller as we speak a lot of EU VAT and EU regulations. Do you know the difference between EU Class A and EU Class B? What do you do if you boat is not manufactured in the European Union? Who is responsible for VAT and who knows all the paperwork you need to show? This interview is a conversation between Rune Riktor as the CEO of Skippern Yachts and Jarle "Charlie" Karlsrud, the skipper of the Nauticat 38, Maja. https://sailing-maja.com/ Disclaimer: Jarle Karlsrud has just begun working with Skippern Yachts, and Rune Riktor is his manager.

A Seawind 1260 Circumnavigation A story from the first owner of the Seawind 1260 can inspire every sailor who hasn't yet clocked years of offshore experience. Will you see yourself in their story? Klaus and Andrea didn’t grow up crossing oceans. Before taking delivery of their Seawind 1260 in Vietnam in 2022, their sailing background was limited to short seasonal trips. Yet they made a bold decision: set sail around the world and place their trust in a vessel designed to be a silent partner through every learning curve. They weren’t the most experienced sailors in the anchorage. What they had was preparation, persistence, teamwork, and the ultimate confidence in the platform beneath them. This is not “fun in the sun” cruising. This is real bluewater sailing and a reminder that you don’t need to be born an ocean sailor to become one when you have a boat that supports your ambition. If you’ve been dreaming about offshore passages but questioning whether you’re ready enough, this story might be the perspective you need. It proves that with the right partner on the water, the transition from coastal dreamer to global explorer is within your reach. 🔔 Subscribe and be part of the journey. 🌐 https://seawindcats.com/ 📩 info@seawindcats.com Our social media profiles: https://www.facebook.com/SeawindCatamarans https://www.instagram.com/seawindcats
In the harbor of Karlovasi at Samos, when we turned our back to the see, we looked at a high hill with a beautiful church. However, it was quite difficult to get there with our bike and scooter. Luckily—long live the drone—it can take a look almost anywhere 😉 It turned out to be the Church of the Holy Trinity, beautifully positioned on an elevated location above the port. Its prominent hilltop setting offers excellent panoramic views.
Tekne sayesinde ise ulaşılması zor koylara giderek doğanın tadını en saf haliyle çıkarabilirsiniz. tekne, yat, motoryat, yelkenli, lüks yat, tekne turu, deniz yaşamı, boating, yachtlife, yachting, sailing, boatlife, deniz, marina, kaptan, deniz keyfi, yaz tatili, mavi yolculuk, tatil, keşif, adventure, luxury lifestyle, sea life, ocean vibes, boat tour, yacht tour, travel, keşfet, viral, trending, keşfetteyiz, reels, youtube, shorts, tekne tanıtımı, yat tanıtımı, motoryat tanıtımı, yelkenli tekne, tekne inceleme, boat review, yacht review, denizde yaşam, lüks yaşam, tatil vlog, travel vlog, deniz manzarası, sahil, koylar, turkuaz su, summer vibes tekne, tekne tanıtımı, yat, yat tanıtımı, motoryat, motoryat tanıtımı, yelkenli, yelkenli tekne, boat, boat tour, boat review, yacht, yacht tour, yacht review, yachting, boating, sailing, boatlife, yachtlife, deniz, deniz yaşamı, denizde yaşam, marina, kaptan, mavi yolculuk, yaz tatili, tatil, seyahat, travel, travel vlog, vlog, keşfet, keşfetteyiz, viral, trending, reels, youtube, shorts, lüks yaşam, luxury lifestyle, deniz manzarası, koylar, turkuaz su, summer vibes tekne, yat, motoryat, yelkenli, bot, şişme bot, tekne turu, tekne kiralama, yat kiralama, deniz, deniz keyfi, deniz tutkunları, boat, boating, boatlife, yacht, yachting, yachtlife, sailing, sea life, ocean, marina, liman, kaptan, seyir, denizde yaşam, mavi yolculuk, yaz tatili, tatil, gezi, keşif, adventure, travel, travel vlog, vlog, lüks yaşam, luxury lifestyle, sahil, koylar, turkuaz su, güneş, yaz, summer vibes, keşfet, keşfetteyiz, viral, trending, reels, youtube, shorts

On the northwest coast of Samos, you’ll find the Potami waterfalls. We hopped on our e-bike and e-scooter, and after a 15-minute ride through the mountains from our sailboat, we arrived at this small waterfall. A pleasant path led us there.
We set out expecting a manageable day on the water. The forecast had been holding steady around 20 knots from the east, and it looked like good conditions for a downwind sail to Port Protection. But as we worked our way down Sumner Strait toward Point Baker, the conditions started building beyond what was expected. Winds pushed well over 40 knots, with steep, messy seas building around us. It wasn’t just the strength of it. The angle of the wind made it harder, pushing us toward shore at times and forcing us to stay fully engaged at the helm. Looking back, there are always things you’d do differently. We kept sail up longer than we should have, and by the time things escalated, it made everything more complicated to manage in those conditions. And it’s a good reminder for us moving forward: In the winter out here, a 20 knot forecast can easily turn into 40. We worked through it together, we stayed with it, and made our way around Point Baker. And just like that, everything changed. Flat water in Port Protection. Quiet. Relief. The kind of calm that feels almost surreal after a day like that. We made it in safe, a little worn down, and a little sharper for next time. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 0:00 Winter Sailing in Alaska… Forecast vs Reality 0:32 Working Our Way Toward Point Baker 1:49 First Glimpse of Port Protection 2:18 Conditions Start Building 2:55 8–10 Foot Seas & 40+ Knot Winds 3:13 Sails Start Getting Hard to Manage 4:25 Pushing Through the Worst of It 4:42 What We Expected vs What We Got 5:28 Coast Guard Storm Warning Hits 6:00 Forecast vs Actual Conditions 6:30 Fighting Wind and Current 7:30 Chaos on Deck 8:48 How the Boat Handled It 10:00 Why We Kept Going 11:00 Rounding Point Baker 12:00 Making It Into Port Protection 13:30 Aftermath and Reset 14:15 Lessons From the Day 15:00 20 Knots Doesn’t Mean 20
Prepare yourself for the best week of your life on our 7 Day Croatia Flotilla Week. If island hopping between some of the most secluded swim spots, crystal clear coves and Croatian hotspots is your idea of a good time, this tour is for you! The Flotilla Week runs on a Split Return South Route, allowing guests to fly in and out of Split International Airport and explore this fascinating city before and after the tour. The Flotilla Itinerary covers the following destinations: Day 1: Split The adventure begins! Meet your skipper and fellow travellers at 1pm in ACI Marina, Split, for a welcome drink before your 2pm check-in! After a quick briefing, we’ll set sail into the crisp, blue waters of the Adriatic. Day 1: Milna Day 1 will get you comfortable with sailing as we head out into our opening day sail. We’ll head straight for the island of Brac, where you can enjoy a late afternoon swim and ease into the Croatian way of life! This evening enjoy a cocktail as the sun goes down before heading to dinner at a local Croatian restaurant! Day 2: Hvar This morning, we set sail for the Pakleni Island archipelago, taking in the iconically Dalmatian views as we cruise through the 18 picturesque islands that make up the archipelago before arriving in Palmizana (a short water taxi from Hvar Town). This afternoon we'll catch a water taxi to Hvar Town to experience the ‘French Riviera’ of Croatia; home of super yachts, DJ’s and epic beach parties! Climb to Hvar’s 16th-century fortress for stunning views over the harbour and surrounding islands, then unwind at iconic beach club, Hula Hula Bar. After dinner at one of the many waterfront restaurants, mingle with fellow Sail Croatia crew at Nautica Bar! Day 3: Vis Today we set sail for the majestic island of Vis, one of the most outlying islands on the Dalmatian coast. Vis has been used over the centuries as a strategic military port and saw action by the Allied military through WWII against Italy and Germany. It has only recently opened to commercial tourism and still retains a lot of its historical charm, as it is not frequently visited due to its location. Vis is home to the stunning sandy beach of Stoncica Bay, where we’ll stop for a swim before heading into Vis Town. Day 4: Stari Grad This morning we sail towards Stari Grad stopping for a refreshing swim stop along the way. Situated on the northern side of Hvar island, Stari Grad literally means 'Old Town' and it is the oldest town in Croatia. Stari Grad boasts an attractive network of old narrow streets and small squares around the harbour. This evening we will come together to enjoy a delicious onboard dinner prepared by your Skipper. Day 5: Jelsa This morning we’ll sail towards Jelsa, also located on Hvar Island. This afternoon you’ll have the option to visit the UNESCO protected world heritage site of Stari Grad, where you can explore a local farm and experience Croatian wine at its best! Day 6: Makarska This morning we’ll leave Brac behind and make our way down the coast to the breathtaking town of Makarska. We’ll anchor in a secluded bay along the way, where we'll while away the hours at the onboard Punch Party, swimming, sunbathing on the deck and taking it all in with an ice-cold drink in hand. Later in the afternoon, we'll enjoy a short sail into Makarska, a seaside town that nestles under the massive peaks of the Biokovo mountain range, with Mt Jure being the highest seaside peak in the Mediterranean. Once docked you’ll have the option to visit Marineta; a bar serving up delicious cocktails, or head out for freshly caught seafood at one of the many restaurants in this seaside town! Tonight it’s time for the Blue & White Boat Party! Grab your finest linen outfit, boat shoes and chic vibes for a party on the top deck with your fellow shipmates! After the sun sets we’ll head to one of the bars or nightclubs located in Markaska Town. Whether it's cocktails at Bety Bar, or partying in a natural cave next to the sea at Club Deep, the nightlife in Makarska will keep you partying well into the night. Day 7: Split Shake off your Makarska induced hangover with a strong cup of coffee as we set sail towards our final destination, Split. This stunning waterfront city features an abundance of Roman architecture and the spectacular Diocletian's Palace that has to be seen to be believed! If you didn't get the opportunity to experience Split prior to your departure, this is the time to discover the many hidden cafes, bars and restaurants strewn throughout the palace walls before enjoying your final night with new friends! Day 8: Split Rise and shine – at 8:30am you’ll say goodbye to your crew and make your way on to your next adventure. In this video I share 5 bluewater boats that are finally becoming affordable—and why many of these older cruisers may actually be built better than newer boats.
Marking a bold new chapter, Horizon Yachts presented “Reimagined” as the core theme of the 2026 Horizon Open House. Episode 26 of Short Stories follows our first ever Short Marine Social Club client event, a day out on the water exploring the iconic Tangalooma Wrecks. We picked up our customers from Runaway Bay before heading north in convoy, with the weather absolutely turning it on for the day. The fleet made its way across the bay, with us aboard the Regal 38 SAV, enjoying a perfect run over to Moreton Island. Great boats, great people, and one of Queensland’s most incredible boating destinations. Days like this are exactly what the Short Marine community is all about.
Another squally day. They’ve been coming through nonstop, one after the other. Dark clouds rolling in, wind picking up, then easing again… all day. It makes everything feel a bit hectic, like you’re constantly one step away from needing to adjust something. So I decided to play it safe early. Two reefs in the main, two in the genoa. Just settled the boat down and took the pressure off. After that, everything felt a lot more manageable, and I didn’t have to keep second-guessing every gust or cloud passing by. Today ended up being more of an office day than anything else. Spent most of it working on sponsors. Reaching out, pitching, following up, trying to get conversations going. It’s one of those things that doesn’t feel very “Atlantic crossing” when you’re doing it, but it’s such a big part of making this whole project possible. And honestly… it matters. A lot. I still squeezed in a bit of a workout and some singing, as usual. Those small routines keep the day balanced. But yeah, overall, today was a work day. And tomorrow might be a big one. If everything goes as planned, by sunset I’ll be turning north. Which feels a bit crazy to even say. 🌊 ⚓ Life on the Showgirl is my journey toward one of the toughest solo sailing races on the planet: the Golden Globe Race — sailed solo, non-stop, and without modern technology. In this episode, the new crew sets sail for the very first time as we depart Saint Lucia and point the bow toward Martinique. Due to visa complications, one of our crew members was unable to enter Saint Lucia and had been diverted to Martinique. Which means we’re throwing these rookie sailors straight into the fire… with an overnight passage to kick off the final season of Sailing Ripple Effect. But before leaving Saint Lucia, we decided to add one more challenge to the agenda. Standing nearly 2,500 feet above the Caribbean Sea, the Petit Piton is a towering volcanic spire… and one of the most aggressive hikes in the entire Caribbean. Naturally… we had to climb it. ------------------------------------------ EXCLUSIVE CONTENT!!: https://www.patreon.com/sailingrippleeffect ------------------------------------------ Watch Season 10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1CA-bu-rW0&list=PLEz8PmTM4lWBzU9d-_qLVRnQsaDb5D-ft Watch Season 9: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReB90uELXV8&list=PLEz8PmTM4lWA-ObNyQan-3_XqLKsgJFmW Watch Season 8: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIVCzMdoWBA&list=PLEz8PmTM4lWDtf6jfHdIgHPL7oGtAWMt3 Watch Season 7: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afaTfAmnuMs&list=PLEz8PmTM4lWDK2c2YW8rr55wjvf74934g Watch Season 6: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-1Jkl4rCMY&list=PLEz8PmTM4lWDu_xLN0JFnx-YX5lSgzXq3&index=1&t=57s Watch Season 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7IrEwJVnHI&list=PLEz8PmTM4lWDG7tstlqR3O1M2fkQQT8-A Watch Season 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nsvIT8jNl8&t=131s Watch Season 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yt7prknxHOA Watch Season 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Z1OuEPXG-w ------------------------------------------ Follow Mara: https://www.instagram.com/classicmara_/ Follow Doc: https://www.instagram.com/docgastone/ Follow Gabi: https://www.instagram.com/gabiwaked/ Follow Tami: https://www.instagram.com/tambam_tw/ Follow Marta: https://www.instagram.com/martaventures/
