We join with Bainbridge Island's Eagle Harbor Yacht Club to sail down Puget Sound's Hood Canal, and discover why it's been called "The Forbidden Passage". Highlights include transiting through the world's longest floating drawbridge, orcas (killer whales), encountering nuclear submarines, and overnight stops at Quilcene Bay, Alderbrook Resort and Seabeck.

After 2½ unforgettable months in the Whitsundays, it was finally time to point ARGO north and begin our passage to Townsville. Over 5 days we meandered our way up the coast, treated to an incredible mix of moments – whales breaching nearby, Kym taking the helm as skipper, and the excitement of catching our very first Spanish mackerel (a monster at over a metre long!). With steady winds and some beautiful sails along the way, this leg of the journey was a reminder of why we love life afloat – the surprises, the challenges, and the pure joy of the sea. It's a windward slog to clear Cape Lookout Shoals, which will be rewarded with a fast run around Cape Hatteras and on to the Chesapeake Bay. Arriving at night, I anchor outside of Jackson Creek for some rest and because I require good visibility (and a fair wind) to sail in through this winding, tricking entrance. But then I make arrangements to haul at the Jolly Skipper Boatyard in Broad Creek, which means I must sail back out of Jackson creek and into the equally tricky Broad Creek. In this video series we are pointing North to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to go swimming up in the Arctic Ocean. Why? Because it’s there. Plus, it will make a great adventure for our growing boys who are learning how to dream BIG. Why not come along for the ride? Sometimes we live on our sailboat, other times we explore Terra Firma with our OVRLND rig. Either way, it’s always an adventure! In this video we travel about 800 miles from Juneau to Hatcher Pass where we find an absolutely stunning hike on Marmot Peak. We first take a ferry from Juneau to Haines where we begin our time on the road. We journey through the Haines Highway Summit on a rainy day after crossing back into British Colombia reaching Haines Junction in the afternoon. The following day held another border crossing back into Alaska where we found a nice campsite on Indian Creek between Tok and Palmer. Our third travel day held views of the Matanuska Glacier and errands in the Palmer/Wasilla area. Finally, it was time to see Hatcher Pass which exceeded ALL of our expectations. Our first night was on a small pullout on Archangel Road with stunning 360-degree views. The following day held the most beautiful hike of our trip so far. An approximately 4 mile out and back hike up Marmot Peak held insane views of the Talkeetna Range. Once you gain the ridge, a special knife blade path takes you higher to the proper summit. We will never forget that hike. That afternoon we explored a little more and were rewarded for it. After driving to the end of Upper Willow Road, we found a campsite on public land with a triumphant view of the whole valley. The boys slept well that night after they opted for an after-dinner hike close to the campsite. What an amazing place! We hope you enjoy and thank you for watching!

Rock walls, reef life, and the kind of freedom only sailing brings. In this episode of Sailing Dark Angel, we’re bobbing through bombies on the sail from Flamingo Cay to Water Cay. An anchor check leads to a coral dive, then I swap the boat for my paddleboard to trace Water Cay’s towering rock walls and narrow cut. Getting to know our 1978 S&S Swan 47 on a short passage from France to Corsica

Special guest Vlad joins the chat with Patrick, Jason & Aaron. Vlad's boat M/V Lava U is a work in progress as it is upcycled to a solar electric cruiser. The video includes a photo montage of the various parts of the vessel.

We are Easy Day Adventures, a family of four taking one adventure at a time. In this video series we are pointing North to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to go swimming up in the Arctic Ocean. Why? Because it’s there. Plus, it will make a great adventure for our growing boys who are learning how to dream BIG. Why not come along for the ride? Sometimes we live on our sailboat, other times we explore Terra Firma with our OVRLND rig. Either way, it’s always an adventure! In this video we travel about 800 miles from Juneau to Hatcher Pass where we find an absolutely stunning hike on Marmot Peak. We first take a ferry from Juneau to Haines where we begin our time on the road. We journey through the Haines Highway Summit on a rainy day after crossing back into British Colombia reaching Haines Junction in the afternoon. The following day held another border crossing back into Alaska where we found a nice campsite on Indian Creek between Tok and Palmer. Our third travel day held views of the Matanuska Glacier and errands in the Palmer/Wasilla area. Finally, it was time to see Hatcher Pass which exceeded ALL of our expectations. Our first night was on a small pullout on Archangel Road with stunning 360-degree views. The following day held the most beautiful hike of our trip so far. An approximately 4 mile out and back hike up Marmot Peak held insane views of the Talkeetna Range. Once you gain the ridge, a special knife blade path takes you higher to the proper summit. We will never forget that hike. That afternoon we explored a little more and were rewarded for it. After driving to the end of Upper Willow Road, we found a campsite on public land with a triumphant view of the whole valley. The boys slept well that night after they opted for an after-dinner hike close to the campsite. What an amazing place!
