It was a close call if our J109 Going to Red could hold the kite with the increased apparent wind which was whipped up with the strong in running tide. The redline racing team was under pressure shortly after the start with the fast charging A35 making life difficult until they snapped the overlap an raced off into the lough. It was a great ride into the lough with the J109 just behind the hard charging sport boats fleet and just ahead of the Melges 24. The team at bottom up boats hope you are enjoying the short bits from the 2025 racing season on strangford lough.

I woke up early in our camper at Cwmtydu, while Jane was still asleep, and set out to explore a hidden cove a local had told me about.
