This video marks the end of my sailing season. I visit Vonitsa before heading into a marina in Preveza where the boat will rest for the winter. Looking back, it has been an incredible journey of 2,340 nautical miles, starting just outside Venice, sailing down the entire Croatian coast, back into Italy, and finally into Greece, heading past Corfu to end in Preveza. Every mile was powered by the sun, without plugging in once. It has been a season of challenges, quiet passages, and unforgettable places, and I am already looking forward to what comes next. #boatlife #electricboat #liveaboard #solarsailing

This isn’t just about beaches and beautiful views (though, yes, they’re stunning). It’s about choosing less, living slower, and redefining freedom. In this video, I give Patrick a haircut right on a secluded beach but the real story is in the conversation. We talk about what we actually love about boat life: ✅ The peace of slow living ✅ The power of minimalism ✅ Life without the paycheck panic ✅ Living with a tiny carbon footprint on our solar-powered home ✅ Why overheads are low, but our creativity is high And with Patrick’s job coming to an end, we’re not stressed — because this lifestyle is designed for resilience. We’ve got freedom, shelter, time and that’s worth more than any salary. Stick around till the end, we drop a little hint about a project we’ve been dreaming up. Something from Sailing Electra that just might land in your hands soon. 😉 Subscribe to follow our journey, and let us know in the comments, what would you trade for more freedom? #SailingElectra #BoatLife #SimpleLiving #OffGrid #SolarPower #Minimalism #FreedomLifestyle #CreativeLiving

In this final leg of the season, we sail from the beautiful town of Parga to Preveza, our goal for the year! This marks the end of an incredible journey: 2,340 nautical miles from just outside Venice, Italy, through the islands of Croatia, back into Italy, and across to Greece… all without plugging in to charge a single time. Our small solar powered catamaran has carried us the entire way, proving that with the right setup, you can cruise long distances using nothing but the sun. Along the way in this episode, I sail without the motors running, only the second time ever, and get a surprise when I arrive in Preveza to discover they didn’t know my boat was a catamaran… even though I sent them a picture! If you’re curious about electric cruising or solar power this one’s for you. #electricboat #solarsailing #liveaboard #boatlife #sailinggreece

Sailing from Corfu to Parga has been calm, easy, and absolutely beautiful, the type of sailing you dream about when planning a trip to the Ionian. I’m really starting to fall in love with Greece, the beautiful towns, great anchorages, crystal clear water, and the friendly people make it an easy place to love. On this trip, at one point I was doing 3 knots with no sails and no motors at all, and unfortunately hit a giant piece of wood in the water! I also share why I don't have a depth sounder, how I completely wasted €400, and why slow, simple sailing days like this make Greek sailing so special. Thanks for watching and coming along for the ride! #SailingGreece #ElectricBoat #BoatLife #GreekIslands #SailingLife

In this video, I continue my solo electric boat journey through Greece, heading from the quiet island of Othonoi to the beautiful Corfu town, a place I instantly connect with. The trip is mostly smooth motoring with a little sailing, peaceful weather, and the kind of scenery that makes you slow down and appreciate the moment. Thanks for watching and coming along on this stretch of the journey. #boatlife #liveaboard #electricsailboat #SailingGreece #CorfuTown #ElectricBoat #SlowTravel

A midnight departure, glassy seas, and a solo crossing from Italy to Greece. Everything was smooth, with no surprises… until I saw something strange in the water. In this video, I make the crossing from Otranto to Othonoi on my electric boat. With no wind and silky calm seas, it turns out to be a really easy trip, in spite of having clouds blocking the sun the whole day. Somewhere along the way, I spot something in the water, a long shape that surfaced and disappeared quickly. It looked… like the Loch Ness Monster had taken a vacation to the Med.🐉 Was it a sea creature? A log? A rogue submarine? You tell me. Drop your theories in the comments! Thanks for sailing along with me. #SoloSailing #ElectricBoat #MediterraneanCrossing #LochNess #Othonoi #SailingToGreece

Real sailing isn’t always thrilling — sometimes it’s slow, quiet, and just passing the miles. But the destination makes all the difference. In this video, I take my electric boat from Monopoli to Otranto, spending a few days sailing calm, uneventful passages along the Italian coast with questionable anchorages. The trip has long days, but it's easy going, with some small, harmless mistakes that are part of the journey. But then I arrive at Otranto, my favorite stop ever! An absolutely stunning place with crystal-clear water and breathtaking views. It’s the kind of destination that makes all those slow days at sea completely worth it. If you want to see the real side of cruising, the peaceful moments, the patience, and the beautiful rewards, this one’s for you. Thanks for watching and joining me on this journey! #SailingLife #ElectricBoat #Otranto #SlowTravel #ItalianCoast #boatlife #liveaboard #electricsailboat

After crossing from Croatia to Italy, I continue south from Bari to Monopoli, hugging the Italian coastline and anchoring in rather exposed spots along the way. It’s not exactly comfortable, but the real trouble doesn’t start until I hit a monstrous headwind with big, steep waves that slam into my electric boat. I eventually make it to Monopoli, but because I’m only allowed to stay one night at the public dock, I need to find a proper marina. That’s when things go from bad to worse... #electricsailboat #boatlife #liveaboard #boatcrash

Motor sailing from Vieste to Bari, I put my solar-powered electric catamaran to the test, combining wind and sun for an incredible sailing experience. Unlike traditional sailboats, an electric boat enhances motor sailing by seamlessly blending propulsion and wind power—leading to smoother, faster, and more efficient travel. On this journey, I demonstrate how electric propulsion transforms the sailing experience, allowing me to harness natural energy while maintaining speed and performance. Whether you're a sailing enthusiast or curious about the future of sustainable boating, this video will show why electric boats truly are the ultimate motor sailors! #electricsailboat #boatlife #liveaboard #sailing

We cross the Adriatic Sea from Croatia to Italy in our solar-powered yacht, at night! This is our very first overnight passage, and it’s a big one: 76 nautical miles across open sea, running purely on sunlight stored in our batteries. No diesel and barely any wind, just the quiet splashing if water past the electric motors and the stars above. Join us as we leave Vela Luka, Croatia, and make our way across the Adriatic sea to Italy. Along the way, we test our boat, our nerves, and our ability to function in very little sleep! This episode marks a huge milestone in our journey, proving that long-distance, fuel-free cruising is not only possible — it's magical. #electricsailboat #liveaboard #boatlife #boatdog
