We are spending one final night at Porto Montenegro Marina to get everything in order before we depart for Greece. Shane is doing engine checks, we finally get the front roller replaced now that we aren't on anchor, the electric winch button fixed, we provision and of course, get ice-cream. I had a visitor from home and we are wondering whether our AIS will arrive in time or not... Want early access to our videos? NEDEN TEKNE ALMALISINIZ ? Ve belki de en önemli neden budur: İnsan bazen sadece kıyıdan bakmak yerine açılmayı seçmelidir..#automobile #tekne #balıktaysanözgürsün #boating #boatlife #boatlife #olta #yachtlife #teknedeyaşam #smartphone #fishing #moda #modafeminina #modak #modakrecipe #balık #balıktaysanözgürsün #balıkavı #balıkesir #keşfet #keşfetbeniöneçıkar #keşfetteyiz #keşfetedüş #kesfet #kedarnath #balıktaysanözgürsün #yat #luxuryyacht #superyacht #megayacht #luxurylifestyle #richlife #millionairelifestyle #yachtparty #yachtvibes #yacht #boating #yachting #boatlife #yachtlife #marina #deniz #sea #speedboat #powerboat #offshore #boatracing #wakeboard #jetski #extremelife #summer #summervibes #tatil #holidaymode #beachlife #denizkumgunes #travel #travelreels #bodrum #marmaris #fethiye #reels #reelsinstagram #keşfet #keşfetteyiz #viral #trend #fyp #foryou #antalya #cesme #gocek

Denizde ilk test seyrimiz biraz sert oldu. Biraz da tehlikeli. Neyseki bu sefer sorular bildiğimiz yerden geldi. ................... While snow and ice storms were wreaking havoc back home in southern Maryland, Fernandina Beach was basking in the 70s. Monica joined us as we drove the short two miles east to the Atlantic side of Amelia Island. Warm air meeting cold seas draped the shoreline in a soft veil of fog. We wandered along the surf in search of treasure—shark’s teeth, unique shells, and perhaps a stray Spanish silver real or gold doubloon from the old treasure fleets. No silver or gold revealed itself, but we did come away with pockets full of shark teeth and a pair of pristine conch shells—a true moment in time. Treasure, after all, lies in the eye of the beholder. And it certainly beats shoveling snow and scraping ice back home. Our journey continues, and we invite you to share in the adventure. In this video I count down 10 of the toughest bluewater catamarans in the world. These are the boats I’d trust when the weather turns ugly: strong designs, safe layouts and smart rigs. We leave Miri and sail to Pulau Tiga, better known as Survivor Island. Famous for its bubbling mud volcanoes, we cover ourselves head to toe in cool-to-the-touch, mineral-rich mud. It takes a little encouragement for the girls to get in — but once they do, it turns into an unforgettable (and very messy!) experience. After washing off, we snorkel the vibrant coral reef while park rangers keep watch overhead with a surveillance drone — monitoring the area for the island’s resident crocodile. It definitely adds an edge to the swim! We then hop across to nearby Lovely Paradise Island, where pure white sand and crystal-clear water create a true tropical postcard scene — best admired from the island’s quirky pool table overlooking the beach. Finally, we set sail toward Kota Kinabalu, and manage to hook a fish along the way, rounding out another unforgettable adventure in Malaysian Borneo. Hey there! We’re Chris and Jo, an ordinary Aussie couple living our extraordinary dream aboard our Seawind 1260 since January 2019 and now we continue from 2024 aboard our new 1370! Our adventure began with an unforgettable journey down the east coast of Australia, followed by a sail to the stunning New Caledonia. In 2020, we continued our exploration further north, and by 2021 and 2022, we circumnavigated Australia, discovering breathtaking locations along the way. Having previously owned fishing and water-skiing boats, our passion for sailing deepened after crewing in South Australia, leading us to make the leap into full-time living at sea. We hope to inspire you, just as we were inspired by other YouTube channels, to chase your dreams and explore the wonders of this beautiful world. What is life really like on a sailboat in Thailand? For the past two months, we’ve been exploring remote islands, sailing in steady 20–25 knots, snorkeling coral reefs, visiting small fishing villages, and living full-time aboard our 39-foot sailboat, Stella — with Jesse’s whole family (and our kitten Shelly 🐾) onboard. In this episode, we share a real look at everyday life on the water: - Sailing between tropical islands -Picking up mooring balls & anchoring in turquoise bays -Snorkeling and checking the boat underwater - Growing food onboard - Cooking meals together - Sunset haircuts on deck - Quiet anchorages with no wind This is the simple, beautiful rhythm of sailboat life in Southeast Asia. Thailand has given us some of our favorite memories yet , warm water, kind people, and anchorages we’ll never forget. Next, we sail back to Malaysia to prepare Stella for our next adventure. 💙 A huge thank you to everyone supporting us on Patreon — you truly help make this sailboat life possible. Buy "Be The Captain" and get 20% off ANY PredicWind membership: https://bethecaptain.com/ Most sailors open a weather app and wait for "perfect" conditions that never come—or worse, they leave in a dangerous window because they don't know how to read the data. Today, I’m taking you behind the scenes of the second printing of "Be The Captain" while we tackle the most important skill in offshore sailing: the Go/No-Go decision. I’m currently in Washington signing 4,000 tip-in sheets and embossing 1,000 books. Join me as I show you the "factory floor," answer your questions about my move to Portugal, and walk you through the exact PredictWind workflow I've used over 85,000 miles at sea. #boatfoolssailing #sailboattour #classicsailboat #seabreeze35 #offshorelife 1971 Allied Seabreeze 35 Citation — A $24K Atlantic Contender | Full Tour Could a $24,000 classic offshore cruiser really be considered for an Atlantic crossing? Today we take a hard look at a 1971 Allied Seabreeze 35 — a Finisterre/Sparkman & Stephens inspired design that surprised us in all the right ways. This tour is a little different because one of our consulting clients not only is considering buying this boat for an Atlantic crossing, he came all the way from Norway to have a look at this boat and 5 others. He also stood in as our cameraman! Designed and built to behave when the weather turns, the Allied Seabreeze 35 carries unmistakable offshore DNA. Designed by MacLear & Harris and modeled after the legendary Sparkman & Stephens No. 1054 Finisterre, this keel/centerboard cruiser combines traditional lines with practical versatility — stiffness from a 4,000-lb lead keel paired with shoal draft access when the board is raised. At just 3'10" board-up draft, she opens up harbors many offshore boats can’t reach. Drop the centerboard and she tracks beautifully to weather while retaining the easy manners of a long-keel hull in a following sea. This particular boat came onto our radar while helping a client evaluate several offshore-capable cruisers — and at $24K, she immediately demanded a closer look. At the time of filming, she remains available. She far exceeded expectations. It is the end of October and a heatwave has southern Europe firmly in its grip. We sail from Almerimar for a day and a night to Gibraltar, where we anchor at La Linea. The wind changes direction and we tack to the other side of the bay. In Palmones, we take advantage of the short distance to the industrial estate to stock up on supplies. We fill up with fuel at a good price once again and continue on our way, sailing through the night to Portimão on the rocky Algarve coast.
Typically we live aboard our small sailboat. The largest class in the 2026 RORC Caribbean 600 was IRC Two and it proved to be a battle of stamina and steady execution with as much as five days and nights of trade wind racing for the class and highly competitive pressure among the front runners. Richard Dilley’s Grand Soleil 46 Belladonna (GBR) claimed IRC Two victory, completing the 600-mile course in 3 days 06 hours 37 minutes 55 seconds elapsed. Ray Rhinelander’s J/133 Bella J (CAN), skippered by Sarah Nicholson pushed hard throughout to come second. Third place after IRC time correction went to Cox & Dunlop’s J/122 Mojito (GBR). In true RORC Caribbean 600 fashion, IRC Two rewarded consistency, smart positioning and relentless focus and sustained offshore discipline. For Belladonna owner Richard Dilley, victory in IRC Two was far more than a line in the results. It was the fulfilment of a long-held ambition to compete in the RORC Caribbean 600. “For me, it’s kind of a lifetime achievement really, to come out here and race in these amazing waters,” Dilley says, emotion close to the surface. “I can’t put into words how amazing it is. I’ve always wanted to come out here and race.” #Caribbean600 #RORCracing
Join us as we take the Jasper Marine Defender 22 on an epic coastal run from Sechelt, BC to the iconic Chatterbox Falls and back. Departing from the calm waters of Sechelt Inlet, we point the bow north and cruise deep into the wild beauty of British Columbia’s coastline. Snow-capped peaks, glassy inlets, and rugged granite cliffs set the stage as the Defender 22 stretches its legs in real-world conditions. This trip showcases exactly what this boat was built for — capability, efficiency, comfort, and confidence in changing coastal waters. Our destination: the legendary Chatterbox Falls in Princess Louisa Inlet — one of the most breathtaking boating destinations on the West Coast. After navigating through narrow passages and open stretches of water, we tie up beneath the towering waterfall before making the return journey home. If you’re interested in what a purpose-built aluminum adventure boat can really do on the BC coast, this one’s for you. 📍 Route: Sechelt, BC → Chatterbox Falls → Return 🚤 Vessel: Jasper Marine Defender 22 🌊 Conditions: Real coastal cruising 📐 Built for exploration Like, subscribe, and follow along as we continue pushing the limits of what a 22-foot boat can do.
Taking Nathalie to an expensive place in preparation for our remote cruising in Cuba and the San Blas Island. Power management is a very important aspect of off the beaten track cruising .
IRC One delivered one of the closest corrected-time battles of the 2026 RORC Caribbean 600. After nearly three days of relentless trade wind racing, the outcome hinged until the final gruelling beat to Antigua from Redonda. Bruce Chafee’s RP42 Rikki (USA) crossed the line in an elapsed time of 2 days 21 hours 51 minutes 30 seconds, and her corrected time under IRC sealed victory. Xavier Bellouard’s Lift 45 Maxitude (FRA) took line honours for the class, but corrected out to second place, just 9 minutes 32 seconds short after 600 demanding miles. Third place went to Woody Cullen’s Swan 58 WaveWalker (USA), completing the race in 3 days 00 hours 30 minutes 11 seconds elapsed. In classic Caribbean 600 fashion, IRC One was decided by precision, not just pace, setting the stage for reflections from the winning team on Rikki and their closest challengers aboard Maxitude. With the new Lagoon 38, every moment at sea becomes an invitation to escape—a journey where dream destinations come to life and memories are made in comfort, serenity, and togetherness. _______________________________________________________ CATAMARAN INNOVATORS SINCE 1984 Lagoon was formed in pursuit of connection – with ourselves, our loved ones and the world around us. By bringing the human experience to the 7 seas, we’ve been able to unleash an unbridled sense of curiosity and instinctual need for quality since 1984. Something we wouldn’t have accomplished without a collective passion for spectacular destinations and even better journeys getting there. As confirmed sailors, we all know that our boats have to be fast, comfortable and safe: seaworthy. We build them based on our love of the sea and the constant aim of good-quality work. We design them as if we were the future owners. As shipbuilders and sailors, it is part of our logic. After settling into Great Inagua, we expected a quiet reset. Instead, we found ourselves pushed off a reef by the most aggressive Great Barracuda we’ve ever encountered. In this episode of Sailing Dark Angel we settle into Mathew Town, Great Inagua, head ashore for provisions and check on fuel and parts, then debate whether to leave unprepared or stay without shelter. Dolphins visit before we snorkel the reef and are pushed off by the most aggressive Great Barracuda we’ve ever encountered. Great Inagua is remote, exposed, and beautiful, but snorkeling a Bahamian reef doesn’t always go the way you expect. This was our most intense barracuda encounter to date, and it left us questioning what we could have done differently. Was swimming away the wrong move? In this episode we explore life at anchor in Mathew Town, the reality of weather window decisions in the Bahamas, and a reef encounter we won’t forget. ⚠️ The lightning strike changed everything on Dark Angel, and we’re still rebuilding piece by piece. In this Sailing Helios episode, we kick off with an early dawn departure from the charming historic port of Peñíscola, sailing alongside the fishing fleet toward Valencia, Spain's stunning coastal city and major commercial harbour. The ancient historic centre welcomes us—but we've timed our arrival perfectly (or chaotically!) during the vibrant October festivities for Día de la Comunitat Valenciana and the Moors & Christians (Moros y Cristianos) celebrations! Harbor-area concerts blast through the night, and the next day we're hit with massive parades, people in elaborate period costumes (think medieval knights, Moorish warriors, striped robes, and more), marching bands, and thunderous "gunshots" from replica muskets/arquebuses fired right in the square—smoke everywhere, crowds loving it, no one running because it's all tradition! We explore Valencia's top sights amid the festive energy before setting sail the following morning to our next destination, Dénia. Perfect for fans of sailing adventures, Mediterranean cruising, Spanish history, cultural festivals with gunpowder displays, parades, and unexpected surprises! If you love real sailing journeys and stumbling into epic local events like Moors & Christians in Valencia, hit play! Today, we’re stepping aboard the 2026 Jasper Marine Defender 22, a serious mini-Explorer boat or a Tow tender built in British Columbia and designed for real-world capability. This is not your average Cabin Boat. The welded aluminum hull, the rugged construction, and the purposeful layout make this the kind of boat you’d pair with an expedition yacht or use as a tow tender behind a larger mothership. Some of my favorite things? The solid feel underfoot, the practical deck space, and how ready this boat looks for remote cruising. Rico absolutely loved the heavy-duty build quality — this is the kind of boat that feels like it can take a beating and keep going. And YES, you can Beach it too! If you’re into explorer yachts, expedition platforms, or support vessels for serious cruising, the Defender 22 is a very cool piece of kit. Ale zanim wpłyniesz do pierwszej śluzy, czeka Cię coś zupełnie innego: inspekcja jachtu, rezerwacja terminu, formularze, bank i tysiące dolarów w gotówce.
