Give it a thumbs up if you liked this episode! And check out Henrik's channel if you want to see boating lifein Sweden. @MyBoatandMylife Bikinis, “nature”, Scandinavian chaos and Swedish ice – this one has everything. 😅⛵ In this episode of Sailing into Freedom, we answer the “complaints” from last week and double down on what the channel does best: perfectly serious “nature documentaries” that somehow keep getting photobombed by girls, sand and bikinis. We revisit the legendary Scandinavian crew days – clogged toilets, cave-snorkelling near-death moments, mystery crew turning up asleep on the bow, and bushwalks where “suitable clothing” is always a safety priority, of course. Meanwhile our Swedish correspondent Henrik takes us on a tour of the Swedish archipelago and winter boat storage: 100,000+ islands, ice-bound yachts, shrink-wrapped boats, strange double-hulled rigs, and a boating season so short it makes every day on the water count. It’s classic Sailing into Freedom: real cruising life, dumb decisions, problem solving, culture, comedy, and just a tiny bit of “nice sand”. #sailing #sailingintofreedom #sailingvlog #scandinaviancrew #swedisharchipelago #boatlife #liveaboard #cruisinglife #sailboatlife #yachtlife Get your Sailing Into Freedom Crew T-shirt: https://teespring.com/stores/sailing-into-freedom Want more? It’s finally happening. After months of planning and waiting, we arrive in Thailand to see our brand-new catamaran for the very first time. But first… we had to get the dogs there safely — which meant flying them cargo to Bangkok. In this episode: • Sending Cougar & Merlin on their long journey • Flying to Thailand via Hong Kong • Emotional reunion in Bangkok • Visiting the Island Spirit factory • First full walkthrough of our new catamaran • The Yanmar generator fires up for the first time The Island Spirit 525e is just weeks away from completion, and seeing it in person made everything real. Photoradio@rocketmail.com m1dsu65@gmail.com #shaving #shavingcream #shave #shavingproducts #safetyrazors #shavingequipment This video is part of my UK Soaps month series of shaves, in fact it's the last shave in the series. The UK Shaving Soap I'm using in this video is Erasmic Shaving Soap Bowl. Not a new artisin soap. it's been around for about one hundred and fifty years. The razor of choice is the Chinese made, Yaqi Final Cut. The final cut is an adjustable Safety Razor. It's made from brass and alloy. The razor blade is the Bluebird. I haven't used one of these blades for quite a long time. My shaving brush is also from Yaqi. My first pass was made with the razor set to number three, as was the second pass. I recieved a couple of nicks and a spot of blood around my moustache area. So for the third pass I cranked the setting down to number two. luckily, the blood stopped and all ended well. Come along and see how I get along. Please like, comment and subscribe. Stay safe and I'll see you further down the line.

In this week’s episode, we’re still anchored at beautiful Moon Rock Bay in the Anambas Islands, Indonesia and honestly, we can’t think of a better way to spend a Monday. Instead of traffic and deadlines, it’s beach barbecues and turquoise water. We head ashore with our friends on SV Moyana for another fantastic BBQ by the sea. Good food, good company, and the kind of slow island life that makes you question what Mondays are supposed to look like. After lunch, we take the dinghy out to a nearby reef for more snorkeling and once again, the marine life in Anambas does not disappoint. Vibrant coral, crystal-clear visibility, and thriving underwater life remind us why sailing Indonesia feels so special. This episode captures the simple joy of liveaboard sailing friendship, reef exploration, island sunsets, and redefining what a normal week should feel like. The sails are raised, the boat picks up speed, and the rhythm of sailing settles in. The day can begin. Upon arrival in Caneel Bay, an unexpected turn forces them to adjust their plans. A new heading. A new bay. A new atmosphere. It’s often in moments like these that the best decisions are made.

From sailing excellence to motor innovation. Mylius M47P marks a defining new chapter for Mylius Yachts — the shipyard’s first-ever powerboat after more than 75 high-end sailing yachts delivered worldwide since 2004. Performance, versatility, and unmistakable design come together in a model created to challenge conventions in its segment.Designed by Alberto Simeone, the M47P features a raised deck plane relative to the true waterline, visually slimming the hull despite generous interior volumes and significant freeboard — a balance of elegance and substance that reflects Mylius DNA. With the same expressive strength that shaped its sailing heritage, the Piacenza-based yard now steps into the motor world with a yacht conceived to set new benchmarks in style, ingenuity, and on-water performance. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard the new Mylius M47P.

One entire hull. One owner's suite. One Top Notch Catamaran. "Snapdragon," our Bali 5.8 Owner's Version, filmed at the Miami International Boat Show. This is a quiet, detailed walkthrough with no narration, just the boat speaking for itself. Every surface, every hinge, every finish tells a story about how Bali designs for people who actually live aboard. To Learn More Visit our Website: https://catamaranguru.com/yacht-sales/new-yachts/bali-catamarans/bali-5-8-catamarans/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=description&utm_campaign=bali&utm_term=MIBS&utm_content=5.8 The Bali 5.8 has drawn attention since its world premiere at Cannes, and for good reason. The Owner's Version dedicates the full starboard hull to a single private cabin, a layout that redefines what personal space means on a 58-foot catamaran. The quality of the cabinetry, the openness of the salon, the natural light pouring through the hull windows, and the thoughtful details separate this boat from anything else in its class. #Bali58 #BaliCatamaran #CatamaranInterior #SailingCatamaran #LuxuryYacht Your safe harbor for yacht sales, yacht ownership, liveaboard lifestyle and sailing education, and charter management. Woke up feeling a bit… neutral. Not sad, not excited. Just flat. Then I got a message: “Make this the best day ever.” At first I almost rolled my eyes. The boat was moving, wind was up, waves were messy. It had all the potential to be one of those long days. But instead of overthinking it, I put music on. Went outside. And just started singing. Loud. It was absolutely not good. But it was fun. And something shifted. The wind was still strong. The waves were still there. The boat was still throwing me around a bit. None of that changed. What changed was my attitude. I decided to enjoy it instead of endure it. To laugh instead of complain. To move with it instead of fight it. And somehow, a day that could have been heavy turned into the best one of the trip so far. Note to self: sometimes you have to create the mood you’re waiting for. 🌊🎶 ⚓ Life on the Showgirl is my journey toward one of the toughest solo sailing races on the planet: the Golden Globe Race — sailed solo, non-stop, and without modern technology. Today I had the first real problems. The kind that force you to stop, think, troubleshoot, and take responsibility. And it reminded me of something. I’m not out here because this is easy. It’s not. I’m here because it’s challenging. Because it demands something from me. There’s no one else to blame. No one else to fix it. It’s just me and whatever the ocean decides to throw at me. But that’s also where the growth is. Every time something goes wrong and I stay calm. Every time I figure it out instead of spiraling. Every time I choose action over frustration. That’s where I change. I think we sometimes forget that we don’t grow when everything runs smoothly. We grow when we’re uncomfortable and we decide to keep going anyway. Day 9 reminded me of that. Still learning. Still adapting. Still moving south. ⚓ Life on the Showgirl is my journey towards one of the toughest solo sailing races on the planet: the Golden Globe Race — sailed solo, non-stop, and without modern technology. Safe sailing. Boat: White Shadow is a Van De Stadt ‘Seal’ 36 (11 metres). She is hand made in steel, 2004, with a round bilge (hull) and a modified coach roof. This makes her a ‘one off’ and in my opinion the most beautiful Van De Stadt 36 ever built. The camera gear: Main camera is a Panasonic Hc- V700 with a Rode External mic with a sponge and dead kitten attached. Action, underwater scenes and small blogging is done with two Osmo action cams. Some boat shots are done with a Dji gimbal camera. Editing: Final cut pro on a Macbook. Most of the material for each video is filmed over a period of several weeks or so and the editing of each episode is normally done over a day. This process can take longer if original music is used or permissions are needed for copyrighted materials etc. Much time is spent sorting out technical problems. In this case I normally get the help of a younger person who understands computerie stuff! There are also times when filming, editing and uploading is not possible due to being at sea or in locations with no internet access. Content: I have found that filming and releasing material over a period of time is better than doing ‘vlog’ style videos and trying to make episodes out of whats happened in a week, regardless if it’s good content or not. By filming over a period of time I can be more selective in what goes into each video. My aim is to avoid ‘bland and mundane’ and have at least one or two exciting and interesting events in every video. Every video has to be entertaining. Comments and being at sea: I love reading your comments. Most weeks Im able to read everyone. I cant reply to everybody but I do read and enjoy them. Keep them coming! There are times that It might seem I'm not on the internet for certain periods, this is normally when Im at sea on passage. While Im out on the Ocean I have completely no communications with the outside World. I spent the last year in California. in this video I show some of the methodology used to organize a mooring field. After the season ended I worked on selling some art in wintertime, then I was hired to help move a 42ft sailboat from San Diego to Oxnard. San Diego is my home town (although I rarely stay there for more than a few months a year) so this was a longer stay than I would usually do.
