Finalmente in acqua! ------------------------------------------------------------------ Seguici su Instagram 📷 https://www.instagram.com/sali_abordo/ ------------------------------------------------------------------ Ci vediamo in mare! #first317 #barcavela #sail
Welcome back! Parasailing in Greece with MedSailors back in June 2018. A few years ago we got to spend a wonderful week in Greece sailing around the Mediterranean with Med Sailors. One of our days was a water sports day. Who could so "No" to parasailing in Greece? If you at 18-35ish years young, MedSailors was one of the best vacations we have ever down!
Happy Cinco de Mayo!!! Nothing goes together quite like Tequila and Cinco de Mayo so today I’ll be trying El Mayor Tequila as well as making a Tequila Sunrise. Hope you enjoy! Cheers!
Annapolis Yacht Club May 5th. Cinco de Mayo brings on the big breeze more than making up for last week on the Chesapeake. A wild ride and great sailing...

Progress on the cabin sole and I build a new work bench in preparation for the rudder construction. Thoughts are also turning towards the keel.... This is the story of the building of a Jay Benford designed, 31.8ft, junk schooner-rigged cruising sailboat. The videos are a week-by-week record of the build as it progresses and aim to show as much detail as possible of the various aspects of the build. These videos take a lot of time and effort to make, in what is already a time-intensive project. Your support in watching, subscribing and sharing these videos is very much appreciated. I was simply enchanted with the secluded cover that harbors a secret. ( hint: government censorship and survival) Once arriving in Mie after 200 + Nautical mile solo sail from Tokyo without a working autohelm and AIS. But I wanted to keep moving so I invited crew to join me for April and I renewed my offshore permit so I could continue my offshore training. But as it turned out one of my crew suffered from seasickness so I changed plans and decided to enjoy coastal cruising. Kiku fishing harbor is a sheer delight for the yachtsman. Room for only one or two yachts this harbor has a lot to offer. A lot has been happening for the Dreamtime Sail crew since we returned from tropical North Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef to safely sit out the cyclone season in Brisbane. Like many YouTube Channels there’s a considerable delay between when we live our sailing adventures and they appear on screen. However, in this episode we bring you an up to the minute update on what’s been going on in our world and an unexpected challenge we’re facing as Rob has been diagnosed with cancer. It will prevent us heading back to the reef and islands this year but while it may delay us, we will not let it end our sailing dreams. We’d like to say a huge thank you for all the support we have received from our cruising friends. We’ve been blogging since 2011. We are Jo and Rob and we are here to share our sailing adventures with you. In 2016, inspired by the likes of ‘Delos’, ‘Sailing La Vagabonde’ and ‘Gone with The Wynns’, we sold up everything we owned and bought our 40ft, Fountaine Pajot ‘Lipari 41 Evo’ sailing catamaran ‘Double Trouble’. We had no sailing experience whatsoever, so the past few years have been a huge learning curve. We thought it might be fun to document our travels for anyone thinking of following a similar lifestyle. So far we have visited 7 different countries and sailed over 13,000 nautical miles. We have had many unique experiences that would not have been possible in our prior life and we don’t regret a second. We're both super keen on protecting our precious environment, so amongst other things, we both follow a plant based diet. You wont find any fishing footage on this channel!
Darren's 233 is a sight to behold, but there is plenty happening on board as well. Check out our Latest Builds here! 👉 https://hubs.la/Q02CyRSm0 Entered into survey, Darren and the team at Edencraft have put our heads together to build a boat suited to his work catching aquarium fish. The result is a set of live well seat boxes, with a pump system circulating water to keep his catch alive. Not your standard bit of customisation! It's meant a lot of hard work and problem solving from all parties to arrive at its finished state. A truly unique boat and one the team is very proud of. _______________________________ Want to see more video rundowns of every boat to leave the Edencraft factory, full Edencraft TV episodes, customer reviews and more? Without doubt, the most common questions we receive are "how much does it cost to be a nomadic liveaboard?" and "how do you afford to do it?". In this week's episode we're going to break it down for you from the initial costs we faced buying Talia and preparing her for cruising, through to our monthly spend, and then finally to how we manage to keep food on the table. All of our costs so far have been in Euros but as a lot of our viewers come from other parts of the world we've added USD as a reference currency. Diesel bug, dirty fuel, water in your diesel tanks, all of the above can cause serious problems aboard your boat and lead to engine failure just at the worst moment possible. As many of you know we had this exact (diesel bug) issue last year and got caught out. This season, with your help, we're looking to make sure we don't run into the same dirty fuel problem again, and a company you suggested (Marine-16) have stepped in to help us ensure we keep the dreaded diesel bug at bay by kindly donating some of their chemical compounds as well as their very awesome looking bit of kit, 'The Diesel Dipper'! This video is the first instalment of our engine service and upgrades series where we jump straight into cleaning the fuel system and installing 'The Diesel Dipper'. If you like to know more about the diesel dipper or Marine-16 then be sure to check them out here: https://www.marine16.co.uk If you'd like to find out more about who we are then be sure to check out our website at https://www.cadoha.com
We're at one of my favorite anchorages in all of the Cape Verde archipelago. It's well protected form the wind and swell and is a stunning spot. It's fairly remote and a great place for surprises. As well we meet a pirate family who's been living here off the grid through the pandemic. And they also have a surprise for us. In all, this beach is full of surprises. TASS, the Texas Association of Social Sailors "Flip Flop" race on April 24, 2021. Some great Texas sailing on a beautiful spring day on Galveston Bay. Had cameras on two boats and some awesome drone clips of the boats in the race and the Kemah waterfront. Clips and stills from fourteen cameras counting the drone and Elizabeth's cell phone! The argument goes like this... 'Charts are old fashioned, unnecessary and difficult to use' ... 'No charts are essential and it's unseaman like to set sail without them, period!' Well I started sailing a good decade before GPS. All my sailing was done with a sextant, RDF and dead reckoning on a paper chart. When I started I was a teenager studying pure and applied maths and preparing for a astro physics degree so celestial navigation was right up my street. I liked nothing better than taking sun and star shots & working out my set & drift to carry plots forward and get that cocked hat as small as possible to nail my position. It was great fun and I could get a calculation done using the air tables or Reeds in minutes. So what's my take on navigation at sea now? You may be surprised! Malaysia are kicking us out and we need a plan!!! Lets lay it all out and evaluate our options... https://www.sailingnandji.com In this episode, it is time to lay it all out and make a plan. We have 25 days left to get everything in order and then off we go, but to where... I have been labouring hard on Nandji to get her ready to sail to destination unknown. It is time to evaluate all our options and give you a run down of what we are faced with. Everything is going to cost big bucks, no matter what we do. Let's try to make the right decision and live with it. If you are enjoying our videos, sign up to Patreon to help support us, our production and the adventures. Thank you. https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/Sailingnandji Grab some Sailing Nandji merch and help support our adventures whilst looking good! https://sailingnandji-shop.com With no sailing experience, we bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off from Australia sailing to the Pacific! We have since cruised through New Caledonia, Vanuatu, the Solomon islands, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and then onto the boat yard in Malaysia to prepare for the years to come. With a new engine, we continued onto Thailand, then back down into Indonesia and specifically West Sumatra to live the island life and chase the surf. With our Sailing plans changing, we returned to Thailand to wait for the weather and begin our journey to the northern route of the Indian Ocean to Sri Lanka before heading south across the Indian Ocean once cyclone season has finished and the trade winds begin! We were on our shake down sail when the mooring we were on failed and our home ended up on the reef... We saved the old girl and got her back to the boat yard for repairs to continue on our adventure! Ready to sail across the Indian Ocean, we were only days away from leaving when the pandemic begun closing countries around us... We are stuck for now, but enjoying the slower pace as we have just had our first baby, born in Malaysia! Now completing our second major refit, Nandji is ready for the world when the world is ready for us!!! Since we got rid of our original Catana built beam and put a new carbon fibre one in it's place we need to rethink our forestay attachment point. Shayne also wants to add an attachment point for a staysail or trinket for us to use in heavier airs. The solution we have come up with is unique and just a bit radical but as Shayne points out - we are recycling old carbon fibre masts so the shapes and laminate structure are different from usual. For those interested in wetpreg Shayne gives a little bit of insight into the process. If you have not heard of wetpreg before or curious about the term then this might be the video for you. We approach carbon patching a little differently in this project as Shayne wants to make sure he has accurate overlays of his patching and the control the resin content as much as he can. We do this by using a template and building the entire carbon patching in the laminating room before transferring to the job. Some great time lapse footage of the entire vacuum bagging process for those who love that sort of thing. If you are interested in how wetpreg is different from prepreg then stay tuned because we have a quick PROTIP coming up next video that discusses the difference between the two.
