Lockdown on a BOAT (with a BABY): Unfortunately with the rise in COVID cases French Polynesia is in lockdown and we have to be confined in our boat for 15 days. We sailed to the island of Moorea just in time so we could spend these days in our favorite place. Bad luck comes in 3... and sometimes during the night. In an interval of 4 days we had incidents with 3 boats in our very crowded anchorage and we are having to be extra patient with all this mess. SAILING LIFE: How shallow is too shallow? This week we tested our limits with an ultra shallow anchorage on the wild village of Hapiti, west side of Moorea. As if this wasn't excitement enough the captain had a rough night on anchor watch while our boat drug anchor on a squally night. In these past 6 years sailing the world we have anchored in so many amazing places. From paradisiac places with cristal clear waters to big ancient cities, to the most remote atolls.
