Annapolis Yacht Club August 27th. Tonight was the final night of this year's WNR and a perfect night for the conclusion. It just doesn't get much better than this! See you next year.
It is a telling characteristic of the Snipe Class that so many sailing coaches from many levels of the sport find their way into the boat. Woven inside the story of this year's 2025 Snipe Annapolis Invite / USA Jr National Championship is how they got there and why. Thanks to Annapolis Yacht Club Jr Sailing for making this video possible.

Annapolis Yacht Club August 6th. Back out on the Severn and Chesapeake for a very strategic race from a "complicated" start to precision battle down wind all the way to the finish.

Annapolis Yacht Club July 1st. Every year AYC's Junior program hosts it's Annual Regatta attracting junior sailors from all over the Chesapeake.
The third and final day of racing has a shifty easterly mix up the top of the leaderboard... except for the tippy top. The Star's wetted surface area and long length can carve through any amount of chop.
Day 1 of the Star Western Hemisphere Championship brought two races in 10 knots and ripping tide out in the Chesapeake Bay. North of the bay bridge, off Gibson Island. 34 teams from across the USA and Canada with crews from around the world race for a silver star on their sail.
Day 2 of the Star Western Hemisphere Championship hosted at Gibson Island was so far away from shore that, in the haze, we couldn't see land in any direction. A rarity on the Chesapeake Bay! A clear leader has been established, but one more day of racing always means anything can happen. Join us for a look at the history of Gibson Island and the Star Class.
Annapolis Yacht Club June 11th. A different kind of mashup tonight by starting off in the harbor in front of AYC for the start of the Herreshoff 12 1/2's and then finding our way out into the Chesapeake....
A long standing member of Annapolis Yacht Club supplied new Snipes, new sails and coaching to create a novel opportunity for junior sailors at both AYC and Severn Sailing Association. The concept is for jr. sailors to experience "adult" sailing on a large scale and the Snipe is the perfect platform requiring tuning, tactical excellence, and athleticism. With over 50 boats, including four jr. teams, this year's Colonial Cup at SSA in Annapolis saw the successful launch of the Snipe Jr Program.
Back out on the Severn with J World Thursday Night Racing brought to you by Ullman Sails. What a perfect night for racing as we join the J 70 and J 80 fleets. Big Breeze and tight racing.
Annapolis Yacht Club June 4th. Series 2 got underway with just a perfect big breeze launching the fleet from the Severn to the Chesapeake with a sleigh ride back in. Week night racing at it's best!
