It was only a month ago that we were walking the shores of Perth in Western Australia. This is one of the finest cities we have been to.  During our four days we take you on a wine tour, visit Fremantle and come face to face with Australia 2 and that famous keel. #baliindonesia #travelvlog #bali We have been visiting different parts of the island, popping up one in all their different beaches every other week. In this programme we have to get our visa extended as they only give you 30 days on arrival. The whole process takes three visits to the Immigration office, some paper work to fill in and one million rupiahs! We also take a look at the trash problem on the beaches and in the sea around Bali. Kuta, Seminyak and Canggu seems to be the beaches more affected by all the plastic landing onshore during the rainy season. It is everywhere! Really sad to see such a big problem around this beautiful island. We then join a beach clean up in Canggu, where every Tuesday they accept the help of the tourists to clean their beach. But does it really help? They take this bags of plastic to a recycle centre, which we tried to visit but got no response from the authorities. Which was ashamed as we would have liked to show you the whole process, what do they do with their plastic. So the question remains...is it taken care properly? Having a passion for renewable energy and the environment, Will has decided to complete his Solo Non Stop sail as the first person to do so without carrying or using any fossil fuels throughout the voyage and making his boat carbon neutral or carbon negative. Will aims to become the first person to sail around the world non stop solo without carrying or using any fossil fuels for the voyage. He also is working towards making the boat carbon neutral or carbon negative. Every item on the boat will be run from electricity that has been gathered from either solar panels or hydrogenation technology attached to the boat. Although people have completed solo navigations with electric engines they have always carried back up generators and gas to cook. Will plans to go one step further and remove all fossil fuels and any temptation to use them. He will be using products on the boat which are able to be recycled and repurposed, and products that don't harm the environment. Well does look abandoned but in reality it has an owner that comes once or twice a year but its not very fond on cleaning or maintaining the boat. So we go on a hunt to check if he wants to sell it, but we find out that no, he doesn't want to sell his boat and he loves it as it is. The Marina staff mention that the state of the boat inside goes accordingly with the outside. So now you tell me...why would you keep a precious boat like that in that state? Five foot longer than the original Ocean Fox but it gives you so much more space to live in. The whole boat has so much more to offer and if you are a live aboard just gives that more extra space for all your toys, spare parts, extra sails, etc. The walking areas are much bigger do you don't bump into your crew all the time. Also you have the front lounge that gives you the opportunity to be at the front when the weather allows. Liking the FLY bridge is quite a surprise for us as you are much more exposed to weather up there, but it is something that we are looking forward to have this time.
