After an interlude of a few months, I`m letting you all know that I`m still here and still sailing. This episode has a lot of me sailing with my children (Alice and Sam) and my father. Plus you get to see the Cornish coastline when I`m walking and the day to day chores of keeping the boat maintained.

Here we leave Ocean World Marina at Punta Plata and travel along the North Coast of the Dominican Republic to Samana and the marina Puerto Bahia. We visit some the El Limon Waterfalls and the towns of Las Terranas, Play El Vella before heading down the East Coast to Punta Cana/ Cap Cana.

Bailing in light winds is not thought to be a normal thing. However, the advantages made during a roll tack are so great that even a risky roll tack and scooping water into your hull can sometimes be better than doing a slow tack. It is important to remember when sailing in light breeze to always make gentle movements. I hope this video helps you improve your bailing technique :) Suggestions? With a dream to sail the Atlantic one day, Maryanne (Scotland) met Kyle (USA) in 2002 and setting abut turning her dream into reality. We fiberglass new pads on the deck to raise the stanchions a bit then drill holes and thru bolt the stanchions to ensure they're strong enough to hold a flying body on the boat in a storm. Then after on a daytime trek through the jungle, we found all sorts of bugs and birds as well as discovering all the precious properties of rainforest plants that can heal and protect against all sort of illnesses and diseases.
