Well I'm sad to Sell my hurricane damaged Antares Catamaran, it couldn't be going to a better person than Mads at @SailLife . Now, I have a new boat, a Catana 401 and more boat projects than ever. Trying to adapt to the liveaboard lifestyle and get everything on the boat fixed so I can be comfortable and safe.

A lot of people are asking what's up with your channel. So here are the answers. I started the rebuild of this Antares sailing catamaran with the hope to sail the world, but things don't always turn out how you plan. After two years of working on the boat and then 1 year off. What is the plan? Is it time to give up the dream and sail the boat? Is it time to get back in gear and finish the fiberglass repair and fix the boat?

We take a step back in time to finish the engine rebuild series, where I finish rebuilding the head and top end of my Yanmar 3Y30 diesel engine from my hurricane damaged Antares 44 catamaran that was damaged by Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas. It's a small makeover on the engine as I show you the process I go through to get the engine running again. It's always nice to know there is hope for an engine if your sailboat sinks.

One simply thinks, I'll buy a hurricane damaged catamaran, fix it and then sail the world, but then life happens. The dream of being a cruising sailor, the dream of sailing the tropics someday has to be put on hold. At least I've had the chance to sail Mexico, California (see the last episode), and now Thailand.

Back in Florida working on the boat, one of the major things left to fix was the crack in the keel, which reveals some hidden damage. If I'm going to get my boat launched and up to Maryland to finish the interior, I need to get the bottom done. I'm thinking about doing Copper Coat or something similar. After some experimenting, here Is what I found to be the best way to get the old bottom paint off of your sailboat, it should work on power boats too. Removing the bottom paint is not fun, but some ways are easier than others. Thanks for joining my on my adventure as I restore a hurricane damaged PDQ Antares 44 Catamaran. I was star struck when I Met Collin From @ParlayRevival at the Annapolis Boat Show. So why not cash in on his fame to promote my channel? Seriously though, he is a great guy both on and off Camera. What was totally cool is he also gave me a cameo in his episode. Please forget my slowness in getting out episodes, I have had a lot to deal with, but rest assured videos will continue as well as the boat project. Only a little work on the boat this episode and I take my RV on a road trip to Maryland looking for a new home for my Antares catamaran (and my family). It's like house hunters, but not like it at all :) A stop fun stop at the Annapolis boat show plus UFOs, BMWs and you will never know what to expect on my crazy journey to repair my hurricane damaged catamaran. I also talk about my support from the Antares 44 catamaran factory as well as other Antares owners. I have to say the Antares is one of the best boat companies out there. Thanks to @FiberglassFlorida and @TotalBoat If you want to save at total boat you can use the one-time code: bsailing10 to get 10% off. Can't go wrong with total fair.

In this episode we do some sailing. I'll show my entire process from drawing the parts in CAD, to loading them in CAM and then loading them into the CNC machine and cutting them out. We get to hear some cool stories from my friend who was a professional sailor. Sailboat racing in Europe, Tahiti and all over the world. Long time followers will be amazed that I actually cleaned the boat. I'm making lots of progress and things are really starting to come together. Also a little touch on Bulkheads and safety.

A little bit from Sweden and the trip to the Vasa museum to learn about a boat build that didn't go so well. From idea, to CAD, fabrication and install. Installing a real office in my sailboat. Shout out to @SailingYaba and my friend and boatyard neighbor who are both doing a great job restoring a boat.

This episode I heat form and install the cast acrylic windows in the boat. First, it takes a lot of work to lead up to it, including fixing the 3d printer and upgrading my Lowrider CNC machine to cut full 4x8 sheets. I even share a cool trick I learned from @MikePatey, one of my favorite channels.
