Cada barco tiene sus características y el nuestro es un poco especial al tener el tanque de agua dulce entre la sentina y la quilla. Creemos que es un buen diseño ya que así se consigue mover el centro de gravedad lo más bajo posible, haciendo las ceñidas un poco más eficientes ya que hay menos peso por encima de la línea de flotación. After sailing down the coast of Portugal, we arrive in the surfer's paradise of Peniche. Leontien's nephew Ricardo and his girlfriend Fanne are on their own land based adventure with a camper. They are here surfing in Peniche. So we sailed down to meet up with them. The features that make Peniche a surfer's paradise are the deep and steep canyons that run along this section of the Portuguese coast. Nazaré, which is just north of Peniche holds the record for the largest wave ever surfed. An astounding 30.9 meters.This underwater terrain however, makes it a little more challenging for sailors. We make a tour of the area on foot and film the rough and rugged beauty of this place. Ricardo and Fanne join us when we leave Peniche and sail down to Cascais. The first ever production Max Cruise 44 Sailing Catamaran has just been completed, and we have all the images to give you a tour! Now, after months of waiting (on all sides I'm sure!!) we have images from the first completed Max Cruise 44 Sailing Catamaran, and we're so excited to share them with you! Thanks to Terry, over at the factory, we have about 25 photos and 2 walk-through videos in each hull. Not only are we excited to see real images of what the finished product will look like, but for all of you at home, this should give a MUCH better understanding of what all of those pieces of green foam will eventually turn into. #137 Nous avons récupéré nos passagers. Sans leur laisser le temps de souffler, pour profiter d’une météo favorable, les avons amenés à Anegada, notre coup de cœur des BVI. Là, ils ont tout loisir de jouir de nos kayaks, pendant que nous commérons gentiment sur l’échouage saugrenu d’un voilier, bien heureusement pas en danger ! La faute pourrait être dut à un problème de sondeur, un manque d’attention ou encore une erreur de carte, même si elles sont de plus en plus rares sur Navionix. C’est justement la carte de ce logiciel que mon capitaine vient d’installer dans notre traceur. Elle nous a gracieusement était offerte par notre partenaire et va nous être d’une grande utilité pour la suite de notre voyage. Les cactus de Devil’s Bay apportent autant d’exotisme et d’exception que les rochers polis de ces Baths, considérés comme « la Tour Eiffel des BVI ». Ce chaos granitique issu d’une formation géologique particulière, est l’endroit le plus visité de Virgin Gorda. Certains comparent ces blocs de granit élimés par l’érosion avec ceux des Seychelles. Nous, nous leur trouvons des similitudes avec ceux que nous avons pu voir en Australie. Nos explorations géo-actuelles ne sont pas encore terminées que nous nous projetons déjà sur notre prochaine destination ! Le tout étant de prévoir un minima pour ne pas être pris au dépourvu à la dernière minute. Avec internet et les réseaux sociaux, la tâche est bien plus simple qu’à l’époque. Il suffit maintenant, d’envoyer un message WhatsApp à un correspondant local du lieu d’arrivée, pour avoir quasiment dans la minute, les réponses à toutes nos questions. Fixés sur les sujets, nous pouvons continuer à vivre l’instant présent, nous détendre sous l’eau et considérer toutes les caches éventuelles de ces îles pirates. Combien de corsaires et flibustiers ont aborder ces terres dans le but d’y dissimuler un trésor ? Ah si nous avions un détecteur ! En contrepartie, nous tombons sur le magot des temps moderne : masques, palmes, tubas, gaffe, claquettes… Des dizaines d’objets touristiques, rejetés par l’océan, sur les plages au vent. Une dernière immersion à Pelican Island, pour nous enivrer de ce monde sous-marin. Nos vacanciers repartent déjà… Nous sommes prêts à changer d’horizon…

Comment se forme es bactéries ? Elles se créer par l'humidité d'ambiante si vous ne remplisser pas à fond votre réservoir. Il faut compter entre deux à 5 ans voir parfois 10ans avant que ce genre d'intrusion apparaissent. Forme d'algues et de micro particule qui bouchent les durites et le systeme d'alimentation de votre moteur. Ce probleme est lié aux dernieres évolutions de raffinement impure des carburants distribués à la station essence ! Notre reservoir de 120Litres est d'origine et en inox. le probleme ne se poser pas il y a 20 ou trente ans... Voici les conséquences suite à une panne de Gasoil et comment y remidier pour ne plus avoir de bactéries dans mon reservoir de diesel qui est en inox sans trappe de visite et dont ma jauge à gazole été en panne. Le soudeur à percer avec une cicloche de 150mm afin que je puisse intervenir dans ce reservoir sans accés. puis il a créer une trappe boulonné avec un emplacement pour une nouvelle jauge dont le format des visses sont différents de nos jours. Nettoyage du tank à l'àcétone avec l'aide d'un pulverisateur et chiffons et sopalins. quelques particules collé aux parois mais rien de grave sur notre bateau ! Vue que le gasoil etait en bon etat sans particules flottantes et de bonne couleur transparente et vue que j'ai prévus beaucoup de trajets avec mon vehicule diesel ces derniers temps, j'ai utilisé les 6 bidons un par un en conssomation routier. cela m'a dépanné 2semaines pour 100Litres de gasoil potentiellement avec micro bacteries. Rien à signaler de suspect dans ma voiture... Cout général de l'opération : - Jéricane 20L Norme iso (25€x 4) - Soudeur 300€ - Jauge avec afficheur 100€ - Joint de trappe (feuille A4 à découper 10€) - 4 jours de main d'oeuvre. Les anti-bactériens sont utilent en prévention OUI mais si votre réservoir n'est pas plein tout le temps et que vous suspecté une présence d'algues ou de caramel, il ne sera moins efficace !
