This particular W40 was one of the very last boats built by Trident Marine prior to their closing. The design packs a lot of accommodation into a 40 foot bluewater boat. "KNOW KNOT" is a custom owner-built Gerald Stevens designed 44 foot schooner, built and rigged for simple and fast sailing. The construction is laminated frames/ribs and a strip edge nailed hull coated in epoxy and fiberglass. The decks are fiberglassed plywood. The masts are aluminum with modern standing and running rigging. Includes headsail furling with self tacking and no running back stays to deal with as this setup has a fixed single backstay for ease of sailing. The interior is well finished with a galley, sleeping for 6, enclosed head with separate shower, chart table and dinette. Includes 2021 mainsail, foresail and jib along with extra sails. The 2006 Jeanneau 54 DS is a very comfortable and practical home on the water for a family. It's got everything you'd need to live easily while cruising the tropics, and the Jeanneaus of this vintage are, in my opinion, of much better quality than the new ones, so it's worth a look. This is a rare boat, and with that I'd argue that she's delightfully weird in that you just don't see designs quite like this in boats of this size and vintage. Tell me another 40' yacht from the 80s that incorporates a ketch rig, aft cockpit, pilothouse, huge galley, full beam aft cabin with an en-suite head, and a large forward cabin and second head? Combine that with a robust below the waterline fin keel and skeg-hung rudder. I'll wait. I think this is my new favorite 40' design from this timeframe. What do you think? The is the flagship of the Island Packet brand. These yachts are designed and built to the highest standards in the industry and Priva Sea V is an excellent example of that. She has a powerful cutter rig and yet is easily handled by a couple thanks to furling gear on all sails and electric winches. The center cockpit is large and comfortable with a full enclosure for when the weather is adverse. A 100hp Yanmar diesel engine and an 8 kw Mas generator supply the power needs of the boat. Below decks, one will find a large, very spacious main salon, with a light and airy feel to it. There are 2 main staterooms with their own head and ensuite shower plus a third cabin that has either a berth or desk as desired. The galley is situated in the walk thru between the main salon and the master. It is ideal for meal preparation whether at sea or at anchor. The master is large, with an athwartship island bed and tons of storage. The mast is new in 2018 along with the rigging, and two of the sails.
