Sailor Alex recounts his experience of being arrested in Tarrafal de Santiago, Cabo Verde, under circumstances he claim were misunderstood. Three months prior, they traveled from Tarrafal Cabo Verde to Dakar Senegal intending to repair his boat engine. After completing repairs, Alex had to leave Senegal by October 22 due to visa restrictions. He decided to sail to Cabo Verde for a brief trip to pick up his friend Wendy before embarking on an African journey with her. He brought three crew members on the journey. Two French world travelers and a Japanese cycling around Africa. On their arrival in Cabo Verde, local authorities insisted they must report to Praia for a formal check-in. Despite being assured by the local officials about the legality of their departure from Senegal, they were confronted by police who accused them of illegal entry and exit without proper documentation. The narrator tried to clarify their situation, showing valid stamps on their passports, but faced resistance from the police. Tensions escalated when the police refused to allow Sailor Alex to return to his boat to rest and recuperate from the tree day journey from Senegal. Frustrated and feeling unjustly treated, Sailor Alex attempted to leave the police presence, which led to a physical altercation. Today we set sail from Virgin Gorda to the unique and beautiful island of Anegada — and it ended up being one of our fastest and most fun sails of the entire BVI trip. With perfect wind, flat seas, and the crew looking amazing on the bow, we made the crossing in record time. Anegada is totally different from the rest of the Virgin Islands. Instead of mountains, it’s flat, sandy, and surrounded by shallow turquoise water. After picking up a mooring, we rented Mokes and motorcycles and explored every corner of the island before ending up at Cow Wreck Beach for a perfect beach day. The water was stunning, the vibes were relaxed, and (as always) the ladies looked fantastic in their bikinis. Back on the boat, we caught an epic sunset over the horizon before heading ashore to Potter’s by the Sea for one of their famous Anegada lobster dinners. At the island of Evia (on the eastside of Greece's mainland with Ahtens), exists a unique place with more than 80 natural springs. The city of Loutra is famous for these hotsprings, where the waters contain many minerals, including calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium, and sodium. The temperature of the spring water varies, some springs reach 75–85 °C. We jumped off the boat and swam to shore in about 10 minutes, and we could already feel the water getting warmer. The fascinating thing was that natural rock pools have been formed right along the coastline. You can sit in these baths, use the yellow sand to rub in your body and then rinse it of with the termal waters. Nach hinten können wir allerdings auch nicht: Eine Yacht liegt im Weg! 🌍ÉPISODE 40 : “Ils gèrent l’onde tropicale pendant que je suis loin…” Dans ce 40ème épisode de notre Tour du monde en famille en catamaran, l’aventure prend une tournure un peu stressante… Pendant que je suis toujours en métropole, Élo, Mathis et Inès restent seuls à bord du bateau en Martinique. Et pour compliquer les choses : une onde tropicale approche. 🌧️🌪️ 👉 Mathis prend les responsabilités en main et assure parfaitement la sécurité du bateau pendant le passage de l’onde. Vous verrez tout : la préparation, les décisions, la gestion du stress et leur organisation face aux conditions météo. Élo, de son côté, croise les doigts pour mon retour… et pour patienter, elle met un gros coup de propre au bateau ! ✨ Ce qu’elle ne sait pas… Je lui prépare une surprise : mon retour beaucoup plus tôt que prévu ! De belles retrouvailles en perspective ❤️ Ensuite, nous quittons enfin la marina du Marin, direction Sainte-Anne, pour une courte navigation qui nous permettra de faire le point tous ensemble face caméra sur notre expérience à la marina. Une infiltration d'eau de mer à bord nous oblige à sortir le bateau de l'eau tout juste arrivés à Santa Marta en Colombie. On peine à trouver l'origine de la fuite.😱 Une fois l'avarie résolue (on l'espère 😉), place à la découverte de d'une Colombie surprenante et vibrante : La Comuna 13 à Medellin, son histoire marquante et son incroyable renaissance, puis un trek dans les montagnes, entre nature sauvage et rencontres humaines. Storia Storia affronte ensuite l'un des passages les plus redoutés de la côte colombienne : le cap de la Baranquilla en face duquel un catamaran a fait naufrage 2 jours plus tôt. Nous repartons de l’île d’Antipaxos pour une navigation de 30 milles jusqu'à Lefkas. Une traversée assez stressante, car nous nous retrouvons dans une mer remplie de troncs et de grosses branches après plusieurs jours d’orages, de pluie et de vents violents. Après une semaine un peu bloqués par le mauvais temps nous repartons pour une traversée de 22 milles jusqu'à Ithaque. Dans cette vidéo, je quitte la Cala Rotonda à l'ouest de Favignana, face à un coup de vent qui arrive du sud-est. Je me réfugie au nord de l'île pour me protéger, avant de me rendre à Trapani. La deuxième partie de la navigation sera plus musclée, avec des vents de 25 à 27 noeuds, mais je suis prêt ! La vraie difficulté sera l'accostage, avec le vent fort qui frappe la proue du navire.
