In this episode we fly back to our sailboat Frida in Valencia. We prepare her for the autumn sailing season in the Mediterranean Sea. But when we start sailing north we didn´t even got out of the marina before we noticed a problem but we decided to continue towards our next stop Burriana where we lifted the boat and discovered our own personal reef. It was a hard and dirty job to clean with the time restrictions we had. Exhausted we got splashed and could continue our sail north along the Spanish East Coast. This time we leave Porto Colom Mallorca to go to Cabrera an island that first was a prison, then military base and now natural park well we think it´s a very cool place but to get there our sailboat turned into a rollercoaster ride. High quality versions are available now Finally we managed to catch a Tuna with a little googling we think it was a long fin Tuna. But before we get to that we make a walk in a nature reserve on Menorca. Finally the Mistral give in and we get a weather window to sail back to Mallorca and on the way we catch our first fish and it´s a beautiful tuna that really gave Anders a fight. After a quick change of plan we do a night sail directly to Menorca but slowly because we don´t want to get there to early but not to slow because there is thunder and lightnings around Menorca. We rent a old but beautiful Jaguar and do a roadtrip on the island while the Mistral is howling from North. Season 4 got a short sailing season where we only sailed to Lagos on the Algarve coast of Portugal where we hauled out once again this time to go throug a long list of boatwork and to build a solar arch to make the boat more self-suficient with electricity. After 6 months in Lagos we kicked-off season 5 with real bluewater sailing first to the northerly Atlantic island Porto Santo and Madeira and then further out to the Azores that lays in the middle of the Atlantic ocean before turning back towards the mainland and south coast of Portugal again. This short is a part 1 that shows our sailboat Frida af Wisby a Wauquiez 47 PS being hauled out and brought to the yard Cantiere Navale Mulas in Arbatax. We have really got some growths under water that need to be cleaned off. Part 2 will be the next short when the yard work with anti-foul and engine service etc is done and we go back in the water.
There is not many thing Anders and I hate but we truly hate but Medmoorings for different reasons and it didn't get easies when suddenly Anders satt with the handle to the throttle in his hand while we where doing a Medmooring in Palma de Mallorca.
