Hello, my dear. Today I want to take you with me into something soothing) We’re going to gently take this Webasto heater apart and just explore it from the inside. Honestly, I’ve learned that the easiest way for me to understand how things work is simply to open them up completely. That’s been my approach with pretty much the entire boat. Soon, once all the parts for my Webasto arrive, once I install the heater, start it up, and make sure everything runs the way it should — then I’ll happily share the whole story step by step. It will be a heavy technical talk)) Maybe one day somebody will find it helpful ♥︎ If you feel like supporting my project, you can do it through PayPal https://paypal.me/mishushat?country.x=GE&locale.x=en_US Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I will mention you in my next video ♥︎ Patreon https://www.patreon.com/mishushat_masha Your Name on my Sailboat😊 And also exclusive behind-the-scenes clips My Instagram https://www.instagram.com/mishushatt/ Hugs, Mishushat
It was my first real encounter with osmosis on the underwater part of the boat, and honestly, I was a bit uneasy. The more I scraped, the more damage I revealed. At some point, I even thought, “That’s it, the end,” but that was just inexperience talking :) I could’ve been more careful and done things differently, but in the end — it wasn’t a total disaster after all ✨I Beautiful Boards Sadhana Woodscape https://www.instagram.com/sadhanawoodscape/ ♥︎ If you feel like supporting my project, you can do it through PayPal https://paypal.me/mishushat?country.x=GE&locale.x=en_US Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I will mention you in my next video ♥︎ Patreon https://www.patreon.com/mishushat_masha Your Name on my Sailboat😊 And also exclusive behind-the-scenes clips My Instagram https://www.instagram.com/mishushatt/ Hugs, Mishushat

In this episode, I started restoring the old wood that I removed from the boat a few months ago. Back then, the lower part was flooded for years, and the upper furniture was home to mice. For months I thought that when the time came, I’d just rebuild everything from scratch. But now, seeing how beautifully the original wood can be restored — how stunning it looks on classic yachts — I’ve changed my mind. I want to bring back every single piece I once took off the boat. I’m ready to spend the time and energy it takes. As for these particular bulkheads — first, I washed them thoroughly and removed the leftover glue from the insulation. Then I started sanding: first with 120 grit, then with 180. After that, I cleaned them twice with a teak cleaner, treated them with a brightener that perfectly evened out the color, and once the wood dried, I finished it with teak oil. I’m in love with the result. Let me know what you think✨ ♥︎ If you feel like supporting my project, you can do it through PayPal https://paypal.me/mishushat?country.x=GE&locale.x=en_US Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I will mention you in my next video ♥︎ Patreon https://www.patreon.com/mishushat_masha Your Name on my Sailboat😊 And also exclusive behind-the-scenes clips My Instagram https://www.instagram.com/mishushatt/ Hugs, Mishushat
In this episode, I’m sharing what this week was about. And yeah... I finally removed the old adhesive — step by step, trying different methods along the way) I started with mechanical cleaning using sandpaper. It worked, but it created a lot of dust, and the glue would clog the sandpaper after just a minute. I also tried a heat gun and several types of solvents. In the end, the best method turned out to be a combination of gently heating the thick layers — just enough to soften the glue without overheating the hull — and then using a xylene-based solvent. It’s important to use the right gloves for this kind of work: latex ones dissolve almost instantly, and nitrile ones survive maybe ten minutes longer. So make sure to choose gloves made from a material that’s resistant to your solvent. I’m sharing this for anyone who might face the same issue — especially those restoring old Winga hulls, since this type of adhesive was often used on them. ♥︎ If you feel like supporting my project, you can do it through PayPal https://paypal.me/mishushat?country.x=GE&locale.x=en_US Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I will mention you in my next video ♥︎ Patreon https://www.patreon.com/mishushat_masha Your Name on my Sailboat😊 And also exclusive behind-the-scenes clips My Instagram https://www.instagram.com/mishushatt/ Hugs, Mishushat
It’s such a nice feeling — when you know what to do and when you know how to do it. Even if what’s ahead is long and unpleasant work, when you know the steps, you feel grounded, calm, and focused. The main thing is just to fall into rhythm. Now I have something to compare it with. There’s nothing worse than facing difficult work without having a clue how to do it — when no matter what you try, nothing works. The past couple of days were nothing but queues, paperwork, and trips to the neighbouring country. But I finally freed myself, and in the coming weeks, nothing like that is planned apart from working on my boat and filming for YouTube. So I’m diving headfirst into the task that’s still waiting for me. So that’s what I’m up to these days — still working on removing that nasty glue. But I keep reminding myself that this might be the most unpleasant, most monotonous, and most boring part of the whole refit — and that everything after this will feel easier.

This video is the backstory — the beginning of my yacht restoration journey. This is part two: the winter and spring months of 2024. After next video, we’ll finally catch up and move forward together, in real time. Right now, I’m deep in the heart of restoring my boat, facing the challenges, discovering its secrets, and slowly bringing it back to life. I can’t wait to share every step with you. ♥︎ If you'd like to support my project, you can do so via PayPal https://paypal.me/mishushat?country.x=GE&locale.x=en_US Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I will mention you in my next video ♥︎ Patreon https://www.patreon.com/mishushat_masha Your Name on my Sailboat😊 And also exclusive behind-the-scenes clips My Instagram https://www.instagram.com/mishushatt/ New videos will come out every few weeks. Over the past few months, I’ve been restoring an abandoned sailboat. It belonged to friends of friends who could no longer take care of it. I asked if I could take it, and they agreed—on one condition: I had to pay off the marina debts and move the boat somewhere I could actually work on her. From the very first moment I saw this boat, I fell in love. I knew right away that we were meant for each other, and I jumped headfirst into the restoration project. It hasn’t been easy, but every step has been a learning experience I started sharing my journey in my native language, but now I want to connect with people all over the world—those who love freedom, the ocean, and chasing their dreams. Even if boats aren’t your thing, maybe something in my story will resonate New videos will come out every few weeks.
