A massive THANK YOU to the million-plus people who watched the Hawaii video (especially those who were compelled to subscribe). Here's a quick update on what's to come.
This is a quick exterior/interior tour of my new sailboat, a 1975 Westsail 32. Not a detailed or thorough explanation of the boat's design, just a quick, on-the-fly tour of the boat as she sits pre-refit. W32s have a reputation for being rugged and massively overbuilt full keel bluewater cruising sailboats that will take you anywhere. I am preparing this one to take me across the Atlantic in 2026.
Hey hey! Thanks to everyone who watched the Hawaii video and left comments. It's been fun and fulfilling to see people engaging with the video. I really appreciate it. I've gotten a lot of questions, many of which have been asked by multiple people, so I thought it would be cool to do a live Q&A sesh and answer them all in one place (and take new ones of course). If you want to know more about the boat, the trip to Hawaii, or my future plans, please stop by on Sunday! Cheers, Colin
A record of my first ocean crossing: a singlehanded offshore passage from San Francisco, CA to Honolulu, HI sailing aboard my 28-foot 1963 Pearson Triton, SV Andromeda. Original music by Robbie Cohen and Colin Denker, aka Book of Shred (unreleased demos were used but you can find our music on Spotify and Apple Music). A record of my first ocean passage: a nonstop solo sail from Neah Bay, WA to San Francisco, CA aboard my 28-foot 1963 Pearson Triton, SV Andromeda. I left Neah Bay, WA on August 31, 2024 and set the anchor down in Drakes Bay, CA 8 days and roughly 750 nautical miles later.
