Après notre magnifique séjour à Cuba mais avec une mer souvent difficile, elle ne nous fait à nouveau pas de cadeau pour remonter nord-est vers les Bahamas. Le vent est établi aux alentours de 20 nœuds, au près, voir de face et combiné à de la houle et des vagues complètement désordonnées : nous sommes chahutés dans tous les sens et souvent obligé de mettre le moteur en appui si on ne veut pas s’éterniser dans ce canal. Cécile sera pour la première fois victime du mal de mer et Thibaut y échappera de justesse ! Cette horrible navigation se termine par un beau cadeau : une baleine vient faire quelques souffles devant nous, à l’approche d’Inagua aux Bahamas. Moment magique, capturé furtivement. Mais le meilleur se produit le lendemain lorsque nous plongeons sur le tombant sud de cette île : durant plus de 45 minutes, nous entendons le merveilleux chant des baleines ! Très difficile de retranscrire le son, les émotions que cela procure ; vraiment exceptionnel ! Nous enchaînons ainsi les plongées sur Little Inagua aux Bahamas et Yankee Town aux Turks & Caïcos, toujours accompagnés par notre copain-bateau Touka. La clarté de l’eau est exceptionnelle (pareil au Bélize et à Cuba) : on voit à plus de 30 mètres ! Combiné à un bon ensoleillement en milieu de journée et les fonds marins deviennent féérique. Requins, tortues, raies, poissons, coraux, gorgones et éponges multicolores et en nombres composent un merveilleux tableau sous-marin. Aux Turks & Caïcos, nous retrouvons deux autres copains-bateaux : Maëva et EastWest, la grande famille rencontrée l’an passé et avec qui nous avons aussi lié une belle amitié. Nous sommes ravis de les retrouver et de passer de supers moments avec eux mais en bateau c’est toujours la météo qui décide. Nous sommes contraints de les quitter plus vite que prévu pour prendre la seule fenêtre météo qui nous permet de rejoindre la République Dominicaine sans trop d’encombres. Quelle tristesse pour nous et les filles ! On en a pleuré car nos chemins ne sauront probablement plus se croiser en mer … Alors on n’y pense pas trop, on profite de l’instant présent, des magnifiques nuances de bleus qu’offre le lagon de cet archipel, des mouillages féériques, des grottes de pirates, des ancrages seuls au monde …

Il risultato? Filtri del gasolio completamente intasati, motore che rischia di spegnersi e impianto carburante da pulire urgentemente. Travel with us as we make our way along the Trollatte Canal in Sweden. The Trollhätte Canal is an 82 km Swedish waterway linking the Göta River to Lake Vänern, opened in 1800 and declared a national monument in 2004. Together with the Göta Canal, it forms a 390 km route known as Sweden’s Blue Ribbon, connecting the North Sea to the Baltic, though the two canals are separate systems. Only 10 km of the Trollhätte Canal is man‑made; the rest follows the Göta Älv riverbed, rising to 44.1 m above sea level at Vänern. The canal includes six locks, notably the Trollhättan lock staircase, and passes key bridges and waterways such as Brinkebergskulle, Lilla Edet, and the approaches toward Gothenburg and the Kattegatt. It remains a vital historic and navigational route through western Sweden.
