We visited the magnificent Delta de L'Èbre and spent a few nights there with our camper on the beach. We saw the most beautiful sunsets and drove our camper all the way over the beach untill the end of the Delta. Unfortunately our camper got stuck on the beach. We tried to dig it our ourselves a few times, without success. Luckily we met some people who were equiped to go to Africa and were able to get us out of the sand. Out trips to the Delta are always unforgettable, it was not the first time we got into trouble there.

The Over Hand Loop Knot is the simplest way to create a loop in the end of a length of rope. It can be tied in seconds and will tighten into a secure knot as soon as any load is applied. While the Over Hand Loop knot is easy to tie it can be impossible to untie after medium to heavy load is applied to the rope. This why the team at Bottom Up Boats prefers the Bowline to create loops while it is a little hard to master it is just as secure while being easier to untie after load has been applied. The Nautitech 40 Open was certainly a pleasant surprise to me. I really didn't think I'd end up liking it as much as I did, but you can't deny that this is a well-designed, livable, cruising catamaran with the ability to perform. It may as well be the perfect 40' cat on the market today for most people because it's a great compromise between performance and comfort. This was the 4 cabin, two head charter version, however the 3 cabin, two head owner's version may as well be perfect for a cruising couple or family. At some point I want to take this boat for a test sail to see how well she sails first hand. What do you think? Durante o mês de abril de 2020, decidimos retornar para o Brasil devido a pandemia. Ariscamos voltar por um trajeto pouco usado, onde haveria um desgaste maior do barco e da tripulação. No decimo primeiro dia, as 1:30 da manha, o mastro caiu devido ao rompimento de um cabo de aço. Após isso, passamos mais 13 dias de pura emoção para chegar na costa brasileira e ter um resgate por velejadores. Havia filmado tudo e ao chegar em fortaleza, fomos assaltados no barco. Limparam tudo e todos nossos registros de 1 ano de viagem não postada. Isso é o que temos por sorte de algum backup nas nuvens que ficou. E algumas postagens em redes sociais. After that I headed to National park and hiked famous Skyline trail, enjoyed the scenery and  magnificent sunset over the ocean... ===================== ABOUT ME Back in 2019 I decided I did not want to be a 9 to 5  type guy anymore.  I got fed up with this rat race like routine city life and I got hooked on the idea of sailing and living on a boat full time. But with 0 (zero) expirience that would be difficult to achieve... I took a Transport Canada course and received my first boat license... I watched tons of videos about boats and sailing on youtube and got myself registered with dozen boat related forums and groups on a facebook... In May 2020 I came across a facebook post. Sergey was looking for a crew to bring his boat to the Caribbean. I travelled 1300 km from Montreal to Halifax to join him on his boat. The trip was cancelled two months later for legitimate reasons.  Since I made my way to Nova Scotia I decided to discover this beatiful province before going back to Montreal I have not given up on my dream of sailing. Fixing water pump belt that got cut. Had to wait a couple days for a new belt. When things go wrong on a boat you have to fix it yourself. Boat repairs are done a little differently than on land. Improvising and tight quarters are just a few of the problems.

Despite COVID 19, this year’s Alexander Marine Whitsunday Get Together was a huge success. Though the borders were still closed and only Queenslanders could attend (other than a handful of interstate people who were in Qld before the borders were closed and have not returned to their home state) we had a great number of party people spread onboard the various boats. This year the event was a European Beach club theme named ‘Le Club AMA’ named after the popular St Tropez beach club ‘Le Club 55’, promoting our 26R Beach Club and considering no Australian’s can currently travel to Europe at the moment we thought we would bring Europe to the Whitsundays onboard our stunning vessels. We departed Hamilton Island just after 11am with guests onboard and headed for Cid Harbour where we met our fellow raft up participants which included the Galeon 640, Ocean Alexander 26R, our brokerage vessel 92ft Custom Long Range Expedition Motor Yacht ‘Texas T’ (kindly loaned to us as a host vessel), Palm Beach 65 ‘Rena G’ and a Cabo 52 Express ‘Chainsaw’. There was an abundant amount of food coming out of the galley of ‘Texas T’ prepared by our Swedish Chef Mathias Andersson who has worked in Michelin star restaurants around the world (he catered for our event last year) and the drinks we were flowing with Aperol Spritzs and Malfi Italian gin on offer, guests danced the night away to the DJ’s tunes and seductive Saxophone sounds. The event wrapped up around 7pm and all guests were returned safely to the Hamilton Island Dock. I give you a tour of my workshop area, art studio, artwork and paintings, woodworking projects, boats and camping projects. Enjoy a look back at where I've painted as I walk you through some stories about each piece. I show an example of a custom made painting easel that I designed and built for easy transport and stowing in a small vehicle. I have a new area designated to my boat designs, in model form, which are fun to build for testing in the water. After the tour I go for a sunset kayak session in a pristine nature preserve. At the end I do 95 consecutive push-ups and pull a 600 pound quad with rope. Enjoy.
