Trends are important in staying relevant in our industry, but how do we implement them in our portfolio and, more importantly, which are the ones worth following? Head of Product and Service Innovation and Research Martin Buchholtz, Head of Global Culinary Excellence Jörg Hofmann, Manager Global Culinary Excellence Stefan Grammel and Executive Development Pastry Chef Europe Mathieu Castex sat with us to introduce some of the trends we’ve set our eyes on for WTCE 2019. The LSG Group is the world’s leading provider of end-to-end onboard products and services for the travel industry. It possesses a strong portfolio of independent expert brands: LSG Sky Chefs (catering and hospitality, including lounges), Retail inMotion (onboard retail), SPIRIANT (onboard equipment) and Evertaste (convenience food). The LSG Group is headquartered in Neu-Isenburg, near Frankfurt, Germany. In 2017, its almost 35,000 employees achieved consolidated revenues of EUR 3.2 billion. Additionally, the LSG Group has a rich network of joint ventures and partnerships partners around the globe, employing more than 20,000 staff and generating non-consolidated revenues of EUR 1.3 billion. Diving Remote reefs and going bananas! We head south from Pangai and dive the remote Wickham reef with our friends Cat, Brodie and Travis from SV Citation. The bananas that we bought at the market all ripen at once, leading to some creative banana recipes onboard both boats. We explore Ha'afeva island before heading back to Pangai to check out of the Ha'apai group for the last time. We wend our way through the coral heads into the stunning lagoon at Foa Island where we plan to stop for a few days. But all good plans go astray... We are Jo and Rob, a slightly crazy husband and wife team, who decided on a whim to sell up and set sail . We had no prior sailing experience when we bought out 40ft catamaran 'Double Trouble' , but hey, mere details right? We moved onboard in January 2017 and have been learning ever since. We love our life , both on and under the oceans. We're both super keen on protecting our precious environment ,so amongst other things, we both follow a plant based diet. No fishing rods for us . Magnus has a little accident with a fish hook. After much debate about how to get it out and who is going to actually do it, we decide to head back to La Paz to go the hospital to get it removed professionally. There’s always fear of infection with a rusty hook especially in the middle of nowhere, so, we head back to La Paz to get it sorted. Thanks for watching and following along with our adventure. So with the boat peacefully at anchor I get a chance to dive and plug the offending through-hull from the outside so that I can disassemble the seacock. As I suspected, the tapered plug is corroded, which is the most likely reason for failing to shut off. I try to remedy this with some epoxy. I try a new repair on the holed elbow but end up reverting to the old one--epoxy-doped duct tape, but this time it stops the leak altogether (hooray!). Then it's on to repairing the sternlight, and about then I discover a propane leak ... but, alas! I do finally make it to Key West. We need a new dinghy / tender for our sailing boat, it needs to be lightweight and a good price because we are getting cracking in our gelcoat. Apart from Highfield, I also discovered 3D Tenders, Quicksilver and AB / Lamima rigid inflatable boats. How do they compare in weight and price ? Yes, there is some good progress in the V berth timberwork in this episode, with the framing COMPLETED, Yoohoo! and the bulkheads being fitted. I also take a few minutes to explain some pondering thoughts,.... There were many reasons why, but the work stopped,... However, the work has re-started, thankfully, and I am on an exciting journey to finish Mistress and then go on my sailing adventures,... Our one day stop at Kastos town, on the island of Kastos (Greece) turns into a couple of days when Wendy pulls something in her back. This highlights one of the negatives of full time cruising, which is that often you're off the beaten path with little or no medical services available. From there, we head over to Fiscarda, on Kefallonia. Here, we've orders some spare parts from the marine chandlers (Fiscardo Chandlers). Specifically, we had a 24v alternator shipped in from Oyster Yachts, as well as two spare anodes for the prop from PYI Maxprop, the manufacturer of our prop. Repairs in the field are similar to injuries, and you have to make do with what you can get. We hire a diver to install a replacement anode.

the bright and dark sides of the bahamas 53 Beau and Brandy Sailing After a 30 hour sail from Abacos to Eleuthera we rest up in Hatchet Bay. After taking Oona for a long walk around town we head out to explore what Eleuthera has to offer. We have heard that Eleuthera is the island of Pineapples and hitchhiking. There is so much to do on Eleuthera, in this episode we hitchhike our way to the 2 most popular surf destination in the world, Surfer's Beach. We have lunch and explore one of the prettiest beaches we have ever been too. After that we catch another ride to Hatchet Bay Cave. Thank goodness we brought extra lights, we needed them. We see stalagmites and stalactites, bats, and graffiti from the 1800's. Hope you enjoy this episode. big love, beau, brandy, and our salty dog, oona If you would like even MORE content or would like to support our video production, consider becoming a patron here: https://www.patreon.com/beauandbrandy facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sailingsaoirse instagram: https://www.instagram.com/beauandbrandy music: With Open Eyes I See - Sunfish Grove I Miss Ya - Hallman As Long As We Go - Cecilia Lindh After A While _ Smile - Sum Wave House Of Shadows - Yellowbase

This week we set off on what we thought would be a fairly standard 2-3 hour hike. It turned into an epic adventure climbing along a narrow ridge in what felt like a set from Lord of the Rings. The views were definitely worth it though! And then, just as we decided to turn back and face a steep descent, the heavens opened and our trail turned into a muddy waterfall. Lovely. Right now we're living in clutter. The goal of these next couple months is to fix that, and that starts with adding useful storage areas in our boat. Having a place to store things isn't enough on a cruising boat. Those storage places have to also be secure and have to prevent anything inside from flying all over the boat when underway. We're going to add more storage and cabinet doors soon. We also plan to finish the headliner/hull liner in the salon in the next month. We hope to have a comfy and cozy home that we can be proud of sometime in the near future. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not-A-Broker Consulting: https://www.patreon.com/notabrokerconsulting Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/learningthelines Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/learningthelines ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Learning the Lines is a channel about us, an average couple in our 20's, with big dreams to be sailing the world by the time we're in our 30's. Sir Peter Blake’s Lion New Zealand has been welcomed back to Auckland Viaduct Marina following an extensive 18-month restoration at Yachting Developments, Hobsonville. Lion New Zealand’s major restoration was required after 34 years of wear and tear. The project brief between the NZ Sailing Trust and Yachting Developments focused on retaining as much of her original configuration both above and below deck with some modifications to meet current maritime standards and the demands of her current role. With a budget in excess of $1.1 million the restoration has been extensive, after 34 years no stone has been left unturned including a new mast, keel and everything in between (all electrical and engineering systems, navigational hardware, rudder and mast as well as sailing hardware). The NZ Sailing Trust has worked tirelessly and managed to raise the majority of the funds,

Since I bought Dilly-Dally in September 2018, I haven't seen the Moody 425 on the hard. I was a little bit excited, when we lift the boat out of the water for the first time after three years. I estimated about one week of work on the new underwater paintings. Surprisingly after three days the main works have been done.

They go through the check-out process in Luperon which never seems to be easy for anyone. After they got that sorted, they prepped Satori for two long overnight passages. The goal was to get to the East side of the Dominican Republic, Samana to be exact. Samana is the staging point for most sailors to make the journey across the Mona Passage.

We sail up to Houhora Harbour and watch a man catching a shark, then zip up to Cape Reinga and back down to Whangaroa Harbour for some exploring. We are a family of six who are taking some time out of normal life to travel. We’ve pulled the kids from school and are home schooling while on the road and the water. We spend time aboard our 34ft sailing boat in NZ and have bought a camper in Europe so as to tour the other side of the world. We’re keeping our memories on video here and the kids write narration and play guitars so we have music to use in the videos.

Chloe's Mast is Up! Both her standing and running rigging has been installed. Her salon seating is complete in a nice warm red colored leather. All systems have been installed and she's just getting a final set of tests and checks. Even her bed's mattresses are ready. Chloe's Navy Blue vinyl wrap makes her looks very smart and classical - as she's rolled out into the Sun. She's most likely not going back indoors again until she get's new was coating in about 5 years time. We're thinking about all the systems that we can link up with a sailing boat system control app. As we're still putting the final touches on our new EVhotels.org app, we'll perhaps make this a 'next' app idea?

This is a very cheap way to restore your headlights look and brightness for driving. If you have sun-damaged headlights, what will it hurt to try this method? Yellow headlights just don't look good, they really make it hard to drive at night. Link for wash and wax: https://amzn.to/2UBicRw We have bought headlight restore kits in the past and they are complicated, expensive, and the results are never what the picture on the box looks like. We have had great results from just using toothpaste and elbow grease. The visit was part of a charity run scheme aimed at bringing classical music into the lives of the young Londoners. I sang with the children songs from my new album ‘The Rhythm of Life’.

Natacha and I take to the sea for some Cape Verdean island hopping. And it's time Natacha starts to learn more about sailing Galoipin so the sexy sailor girl takes the helm. And she takes it well. All the way to Tarafal de Santa Antao. There we visit a Grogue distillery and then take a local crew out for an afternoon cruise. Apart from me and the Captain they are all hot and sexy, and are great fun. Especially when I turn on the music. Please make your voice heard: Subscribe, like, dislike, or comment. In this episode we are finally free of the yard and after saying our goodbyes, we take a quick shakeout sail up to Sandy Island in Carriacou. We notice that the prop shaft and stuffing box is getting quite hot on the way so take a few hours to do some repairs but eventually carry straight on sailing up to Bequia, a lovely little town full of sailboats, fresh fruit and veg markets and happy people. Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Khiara's parents are making the epic journey to come for a visit and have a few mishaps along the way. Back to us in Bequia, we're so excited to finally get the boat back in the water though that after only a few hours ashore, we both get itchy feet and want to set sail again!
