We're finally sailing on Lake Erie after completing our anchor locker project. Cory's family came to visit us for 5 days so we shared with them our sailboat life and toured them around. We also start upgrading our boat to LED lighting so that we can be more efficient when off-grid. If you like what you see don't forget to give us the thumbs up! We tackle one of the biggest projects on our list—replacing the engine mounts underneath our 300 lb. engine! With guidance from Ricky, the mechanic at Green Cove Springs Marina with 40+ years of experience and help from the "jaws of life," we figure out an easier (and more affordable) way of doing the job. We also check off some other overdue projects, like replacing our Cutlass Bearing, brightwork, bottom paint touchups, and Hope gets new lettering! Special thanks to Jacksonville-based band, SUNBEARS!, for their music in this video. You can find more of their music at https://sunbears.bandcamp.com. Did you enjoy the video? Ep 38 WE HEAR THE BABY’S HEART BEAT! At long last we’ve reached the 12 week point in Hayley’s pregnancy and head to a great Doc in St Martin and see and hear our little angel. You’ll have to watch thru to the end to see how it goes. We start this episode in Anguilla doing all the regular maintenance jobs that yachts deserve and then head for Saint Martin in what we expected to be 35kts + so we got there pretty fast! That’s nothing that Susan Ann II hasn’t sailed before or can easily handle… it’s just the crew (us) would prefer to avoid if possible but we had a hospital appointment to make. Cheers to those of you who took the time to help out with our water heater issue. It’s a small problem but a real PITA changing that anode every 6 months when I know other Lagoon 450’s that have never changed it! I’m typing this 12 months after this episode was filmed and I’m still having the issue regardless of where the water comes from. In Lagoon’s defence they have been great with all other issues to date but the most important consideration is the lack of issues that we have had. We’ve been very lucky compared to many other yacht manufacturers we know. All of our sailboat repair and maintenance blogs are now hosted on our dedicated maintenance channel, MOTHERSHIP MAINTENANCE Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/c/mothershipmaintenance An edited version of this video is now hosted there. Our boat's #Mastervolt #Chargemaster 24/100 #batterycharger is one of the most important pieces of electrical equipment on our sailboat.. and normally one of the most reliable. So when it goes wrong, it's a big problem. We couldn't charge batteries from either shore power or our #Cumminsonan generator but luckily we could still charge from our #volvopenta engine alternator and prop-shaft generator. So while we waited the six weeks for it to be repaired, we had to move constantly to re-charge the batteries and had to live as energy efficiently as possible! Special thanks to #FischerPanda UK Ltd and #Aquafax for their help and advice and #UPS couriers for for being so reliable with the delivery. We spend the summer sailing around the English channel, the Scilly Isles and the Channel Islands as a shake down cruise to prepare Fair Isle for long term cruising. Living aboard a sailboat long term is very different from weekend sailing so we are dealing with all the changes we need to make for a voyaging sailboat. We will be adding lots of tips on anything to do with sailing on our new website. There's a 'Tips and Tricks' page and a technical page for all the geeky stuff. In this Episode; WARNING: Footage at the end of the video might be DISTURBING to some. In this Episode; Amazing Drone aerial footage of some of the gorgeous Islets and Cays near the Belizean barrier reef. Exploring mangrove estuaries in the Sittee River where some say Crocodiles lurk and amazing underwater footage of the coral reefs and tropical fish at the Belizean barrier reef. WARNING: Footage at the end of the video might be DISTURBING to some. I felt compelled to share (at the end of the video) some of the frustration we feel with regards to the amounts of plastic trash we come across while out exploring remote areas of the Caribbean. The footage might be disturbing to some. Every windward beach in Belize on the islands we visited were in a similar situation, but it's a problem throughout the Caribbean. I've shared the Caribbean's plastic problem in the past in smaller doses, but the Barrier reef of Belize is a World Heritage site and the World needs to know what is happening to it. I think the reasons it's so prevalent in Belize is because of the prevailing Trade Winds. Trade Winds push West and Belize is the final stopping point. Plastic trash out here is a sad problem. It's more than just unpleasant to see, small pieces of plastic bags are seen as jelly fish to Turtles, many fish are filter feeders including the giant Whale Shark and as plastic breaks down into smaller pieces fish are ingesting it... Plastic. It's becoming a bigger problem for Belize. Because of the constant push West from the Trade Winds the windward sides of the islands we visited were covered in plastic trash. Please SUBSCRIBE and tap on the NOTIFICATION BELL so that you never miss an episode! We welcome Bruce and Brenda, John and Cory aboard Saltair3 to share the experience of learning to sail a Big Cat and what it's really like living a life on the Sea. A week long adventure of learning to sail, getting a taste of what it’s like living on a catamaran in the Caribbean, how we make our power and our water, and how we provision, cook, diesel maintenance and more… all while exploring the amazing Belizean Barrier Reef! We had a great time, made some great friends and shared our lives a step past our videos... They came as strangers to us and left as great friends, although they had a pretty good idea of who we are before the came Lol! Said Bruce; "that was the most amazing sailing trip of my life..." This video shares some of the highlights of their trip… I hope it doesn’t feel like an advertisement, it wasn’t made in that fashion. Simply an opportunity to share with the world, more of the adventure, and that’s what we are all about… You too can spend an all inclusive week with us aboard our catamaran Saltair3 learning how to live a life on the sea and leave a small environmental foot print, how to prepare, repair, provision, catch fish and lobster, how to safely check into foreign countries and learn to sail a Big Cat, or just sit back, relax and enjoy being aboard Saltair3 in the warm and beautiful Caribbean Sea. Come along with us as we reflect on our visit to the gorgeous town of Ubud. While there are so many reasons to visit Ubud, we give you, in this video, our favorite ones. Ubud is a mountain town an hour North from Denpasar, at the foot of the volcano called Agung and tucked among the rice paddies. It's full of unique culture, art, shopping, food, and outdoor adventure. If you are going to Bali, you do not want to miss Ubud! It's worth at least a few days! #china #chinalifestyle #chinalife #qingdao #ubud #indonesia #bali #denpasar NEW TO OUR CHANNEL? We are Eileen and Brown Councill. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too! As a viewer, we consider you to be part of our family and look forward to getting to know you. Don't hesitate to comment on our videos and ask questions. Part 13 of a series: Sailing Miami to Key West. After our epic sail to Key Biscayne, we anchor in No-Name Harbor. Future (fishing) episodes are revealed. After a morning exercise routine, Ashley and I explore the tropical walking/biking trails of the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. We visit Boaters Grill for breakfast, then watch as the new owner of a Leopard 45 catamaran get hoisted up the mast. Interviews with other cruisers in the anchorage reveal that many are planning to make a passage to the Bahamas. We interview Wally Moran, buy his book and he autographs it for us.
BootsProfis Website: https://www. Isole Tremiti albe e tramonti in barca estate 2018-Ep 6-SV Perseus-Tremiti islands naked on sailboat

Ahoi Franky
What an amazing week! We completed our sail across the Cyclades Islands, Greece and cruise past Piraeus, Athens where our sailing and boat buying journey all began almost exactly 1 year ago. Just in time we make it to the somewhat sheltered Kalamaki anchorage near the Corinth Canal before 50-60 knot winds hit all around us. After a few days hanging out with all the large ships waiting for the blow to stop we get our first glimpse of the amazing Corinth Canal and then we get to cruise through the Corinth Canal! Did you know the Corinth canal cuts off the 240 km journey around the Peloponnese. It is 6.3 km long and ranges between 21 and 24 meters wide. The depth is between 6.5 – 8 meters and roughly 12000 ships pass through per year. The Corinth Canal has a lot of history, including being put out of action by the Germans at the end of World War 2. Today the canal is susceptible to landslides, the last of which closed the canal for two weeks in February 2018. It is also host to swimming contests, Jet Ski passages and bungee jumping. Once on the other side we enter the Gulf of Corinth between mainland Greece and the Peloponnese and the calmness of the Corinth Canal is quickly forgotten as we encounter continuous 30 knot gusts off the mountains and building waves. Finally the gusts and waves settled down, however we face our next challenge as our prop is fouled by an unknown object. The next day we watch another brilliant sunrise as we cruise through snow capped mountains towards the world's longest cable-stayed bridge the Rion - Antirion Bridge towards the Ionian Islands, Greece. If you are interested in the process of passing through the Rion - Antirion Bridge, we show what we experienced. Hope that helps :) Thank you for watching, we hope you enjoy! Follow our Journey Please subscribe if you want to see more sailing videos, and if you liked the video please give it a thumbs up as this helps us. If you have a question please ask, we will always get back to you :) About us: Our names are Jason and Tracey and we traded our house, cars, business, job and security for freedom, adventure, travel and living simply amongst nature and the seas on our 45 foot Hanse sailing boat, Kawai. We don't know exactly where the winds will take us at this stage but over the next year we hope to sail to Turkey, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, Spain, Morocco, Gibraltar, Canary Islands and then across the Atlantic Ocean. Jase loves making travel videos and we decided to upload to youtube to share our adventure. Saving Dolphins? Okay... not really, but George does channel his inner dolphin 'saver'. This week we welcome our very first visitors to our very small home- my sister, Liz, and beautiful niece, Coral! We had the BEST time diving together in the Keys again and exploring with them. *no dolphins were hurt in the making of this video. 😂 also, Anna edited this video and George wasn't talking about Flipper the movie, he was talking about Flipper the TV show but... ya know age gap and all 😂... anyway... still gets the point across... The boat utilises a hard-chined, plywood construction and this design of boat is a proven, capable, ocean-going vessel. Boat building with plywood is a relatively easy and cost-effective way to produce a strong, monocoque-style boat hull. These videos aim to show the way in which I go about it. Thank you! Tony

In this episode of Sailing Chelsea we enter into a race (lol) from Los Christianos, Tenerife, to La Gomera, with our friends Judith and Patrick (SV Vivente). We only stay briefly in La Gomera as we pop back to Tenerife to have Ryan's brother, Liam and friend, Mick on board for a few days. Once they had gone, we decided to head back to La Gomera. The weather was predicted to be a little strong but that is an understatement of what we came face to face with! It's a pretty scary sailing trip with a lot of lessons learnt.
