We stopped at Bahia Mar Yacht Center in Fort Lauderdale. There are so many incredible boats moored there and each one we looked at seems better than the last. We take you on a tour of the center and share what we saw with you.

Today we are evaluating two different types of dinghies, a rigid bottom inflatable from Caribe as well as a West Marine 9' hard dinghy. The difference is huge between the boats. Our concerns are not only which style is right for us, but also the ease of carrying it aboard and deploying it.

Part of leading an incredible boat life is celebrating everyday on the water. Whenever our schedules allow, we start the morning watching the sunrise. Today we saw something incredible, a giant Loggerhead Turtle laying its eggs on the beach. Estimates were the turtle weighed close to 300 pounds. It was an incredible sight! One of our most relaxing days on Florida's intercoastal waterway. We left our marina early morning and took our 440 Sea Ray to Mantanzas Inlet for the day. With very little wind and plenty of sunshine this was a picture perfect salt life day.

There is a lot to maintaining a small motor yacht. Marina costs, maintenance, operating costs, etc. People always ask if it is worth the money and expense to participate in small motor yacht cruises. The video shows the benefits that are derived from small yacht ownership.

Boating Maintenance does not always have to be difficult if planned correctly. With two large Marine Cummins Diesel Engines as well as a Westerbeke Diesel Generator the sound levels in the cockpit have been unbearable. Soundproofing the boat engine compartment is critical. We are replacing 1994 heat insulation on our liveaboard with 2019 Sound Dampening Technology which includes a heat shield and sound shield from SoundProof Cow a leading soundproofing company. There is so much to do close to the marinas when you travel. This time we took it to an extreme and I parachuted from 13,500 feet. First jump ever.
