Voici les maiden flight en extérieur (vent très faible) et en indoor(Merci Fifi pour les vidéos) du papillon de Ctorque. Il s'agit de la version avec des servos de 9grs. J'avais oublié de séparer les ailes avant et arrière, il ne montait pas au début, merci Ethan d'avoir corrigé mon erreur. On constate en vol une instablité en lacet, il vaut mieux réduire la puissance pour mieux le contrôler

Why would you want or need to re-index your feathering prop? In our case, we’ve been living with limitations on engine RPMs. Specifically, when motoring we couldn’t go above 2,000 RPMs or the engine would start to heat up. Staying below 2,000 worked fine, but it isn’t how the boat was delivered. Over time, I became convinced that one of the techs who worked on the prop (there have been two) did not put the prop back together the way they’d found it. As a result, I felt, the prop had become “over-pitched.” This is a condition whereby the blade angle is too steep, making it more difficult to rotate in the water. In questo video di “Nautica in Pillole” scopriamo come funziona il sistema Skyhook, quali vantaggi offre durante le manovre e soprattutto quali sono i rischi e gli aspetti da considerare prima dell’acquisto. Una guida pratica e semplice dedicata a chi ama la nautica e vuole migliorare sicurezza e comfort a bordo. Lo Skyhook è una tecnologia nautica sempre più diffusa sulle imbarcazioni moderne. Grazie al GPS e all’integrazione con joystick e motori, permette di mantenere la barca ferma virtualmente senza utilizzare l’ancora. Il sistema corregge automaticamente la posizione dell’imbarcazione spostandola avanti, indietro e lateralmente tramite la gestione elettronica dei motori. Nel video vediamo come funziona realmente lo Skyhook durante le manovre in porto, nelle attese davanti al distributore carburante o durante l’ormeggio quando non è possibile dare ancora. Una soluzione molto utile soprattutto nei porti affollati o in situazioni di spazio ridotto. ► Developed by a consortium bringing together research institutions, the textile industry and the sailmaking sector - notably All Purpose - the TRILam BioTex program was presented to us during Nice Boating Tomorrow. ► The project explores a still largely untapped avenue in the marine industry: sails incorporating bio-based fibers. The goal is, of course, to reduce environmental impact without compromising performance. ► Today, almost all sails rely on petrochemical-based materials, with very few credible end-of-life solutions apart from reuse initiatives such as 727 Sailbags, Voilensac or Les Toiles du Large. TRILam BioTex aims to change this model by progressively introducing natural fibers, particularly flax and, more recently, nettle. The ambition goes beyond simply replacing materials, by developing a membrane that is both high-performance and, ultimately, recyclable or compostable. ► Unlike initiatives that remain largely theoretical, sails developed under the program have already been tested in real-world conditions, including offshore racing. Our Hawaii cruise started with two days on Oʻahu — and it set the tone for the whole trip. Day one was the travel day, followed by an afternoon at Waikiki Beach and a visit to Pearl Harbor. If you haven't been to the memorial before, it's worth giving yourself more time than you think you'll need — it stays with you. Day two took us to Kualoa Ranch on the windward coast. It's a working cattle ranch that also happens to be one of the most recognisable film locations in the world — Jurassic Park fans will know exactly why. Clam Shells as Currency? The Ancient Traditions of the Solomons 🐚 In the Solomon Islands, some things are more valuable than gold. In this episode, we are introduced to Shell Money—massive, hand-carved rings made from giant fossilized clam shells. Historically used for everything from land disputes to "buying a wife," these artifacts are a window into a complex social history. But as our friend Rocky shows us, value here isn't just in the past; it's in the craftsmanship of today—from intricate wood carvings to a functional teapot made entirely from a coconut shell. Our time in this village quickly turned from a visit into a deep community connection. We were treated to a rare "floating concert" on our boat, joined the local congregation for a powerful Sabbath service featuring 50 visiting singers, and participated in a massive traditional feast where we learned the humbling local custom of "Guest First." To end the day, we followed the locals into the jungle, paddling up a winding creek to find a secret freshwater swimming hole hidden beneath the rainforest canopy.
