After 5 years of development (aka contemplation and deliberation), I finally built myself a stabiliser for when we're at anchor. It's still in trials, so we'll see how it performs. If necessary, I'll upsize for increased stability. Isn't it time you took control of your freedom? There's no better way to do so than to immerse yourself in nature on a boat. Let me show you how. www.learntoliveaboard.com.au
In this video we hear from my friend, Leyton, on his journey, with his partner Amanda, into living aboard and their ultimate purchase of their new home "SY Walden." This is a raw, grounded and real insight into one couple's journey to a life aboard. Enjoy. www.learntoliveaboard.com.au
Beautiful Ao Yon, just 40 minutes from Ao Chalong, Phuket. Beautiful. Peaceful. Relaxed. This is what freedom to move your home at will is all about.
What a blast Tahiti is. And there would have to be no better place in the world to learn to live on a boat and to sail than amongst these island jewels.
This is living! There's no better place in the world to learn to live aboard a boat or to sail than amongst these beautiful Tahitian islands.

Sailing from Australia to Phuket, Thailand, we crossed the Timor Sea from Darwin to Kupang in Indonesia. With little to no wind it was a rather mundane passage...until these guys turned up. What a brilliant experience. They were with us for over an hour. Stunning experience. And this is just one of the reasons I choose to live aboard and wander about the place. :) Happy days! Snippets from my recent journey from Whitsundays, Queensland, Australia through to Phuket, Thailand. This is our fun day out in Lombok, Indonesia. Waterfalls; traditional stick fighting, traditional hand weaving, and a wedding procession.

What a sailing adventure! I recently moved my 15m steel ketch, Morningside from the Whitsundays in Australia to Phuket, Thailand and had the best time. Come and see the wrap-up of this amazing trip sailing through some truly beautiful locations. It's a warts and all run down, without all the fairy floss of tits-n-bums. We cover a whole lot of what goes on during a trip like this. The real stuff. An ideal watch for newcomers to sailing and cruising.
Snippets from my recent journey from Whitsundays, Queensland, Australia through to Phuket, Thailand. This is our forestay repair stop at Marina Del Ray, Lombok, Indonesia. ...just another exotic place to be repairing a boat. :)
We had a hoot in Tahiti. Possibly one of the most beautiful places on earth. Join Gone Sailing Global to learn how to live aboard and to join us for a Hands On Sailing trip somewhere exciting in the world.

Life is about choices, and we all make different ones. That’s what makes us so unique. For years my life choices have often seen me drawn to the ocean. On it, in it, under it… all over the world. For the past 40 odd years, I’ve never been far away from boats – scooting around in tinnies as a kid, bigger fast boats, sailing in some beautiful places all around the world, and living on boats. It’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. In this hour-long episode, I’m endeavoring to answer the question, without boring you into a coma, that I’m often asked: “what’s it like living on a boat?” I’m going to take you on a journey through the Whitsundays in Australia, Tahiti in French Polynesia, into the amazing waters around Phuket, Thailand, and through Europe to Croatia and The Ionian in Greece. It’s been an amazing journey and one that I’d do much the same if I had the chance to do it all over again. We only get one go at this ride called life, and I compel you to make the choices that will give you the best ride you could possibly have. If that’s on boats, I’m here to share my experiences with you and help you on your way. Come and join Learn To Live Aboard, we're here to help you learn to live aboard!
