A sunny but cold day and we set to work on 2 big projects. Fristly we need to get the trailer stanchions cut to size. We can;t really mve the boat safely until this is done. Secondly we turn to electrics and get the main switchboard for the dinghy fitted. very excited by this!!! We have some lovely warm air this week so out comes the fibreglass and all those little niggling repairs I want to do get done. We start with the lockers and sealking thse up, or at least one of them. We also sand down and look at the cracks on the cabin top and fill loads of holes and cracks up with epoxy. I looked high and low but couldn't find a swan neck that would fit any dinghy, let alone my 18 foot Sailfish 18. they were all too big and too expensive aswell. So we turn to the trusty 3D printer to get one made, but of course this isn't going to quite work this time due to the inherent design being a bit weak. My little dinghy table needed a refurb so we set about ensuring its all tightened up and secured properly. Then we set to making it into a proper chart table. So we have a 3 in 1 table now: 1. When we dry fitted the switch box, we found that we hadn;t accounted for the slope on the wall it will be fitted to. So in this video we add some wedges and modify the box so it fits much better.
