Participate with the Sail Malaysia 2018 to Langkawi crew in the events organized in Langkawi, the rally final port. First we have a quick look at islands along the way from Pangkor including Penang where no event was organized this year due to a lack of good anchoring & dinghy landing. We take a short island tour where we visit the Sanctuary Bakau in the Kilim Geoforest Park to help with the reforestation project and have a quick look at the Oriental Village followed by a nice dinner at the Rice Museum. Next day we have a look at Rebak Marina and the farewell cocktail there. I mount the electronic box with the glow plug and the starter relays and talk about how the fuse system works. And then at least I fill up the system with new original Volvo coolant fluid so the system can be protected from corrosion from the inside. The coolant will then protect the engine for the next 2 years and is the kind there is ready mixed so it protect the engine against frost damage down to -25 centius degrees. The coolant is the green version for this engine model.

We made it to Vista Mar Marina in San Carlos and jumped right into a little belayed birthday party for Maria. My very first ocean passage After 3 seasons of learning, fails, funtimes and amazing adventures up and down the east coast of Australia its finally time to begin my overseas sailing adventure. I set off from Gladstone, Australia and sail across the Coral Sea to Honiara, Solomon Islands. This was my first ever completed offshore passage and it took me 8 days to cover the 1100 mile (2000km) journey. I faced some pretty challenging conditions but my awesome boat Schiehallion powered on through and I arrived without any serious problems. I did battle some up and down emotions though! Ahoy, after Fay left for Germany, I stayed a few more weeks in La Paz. Got a few things done on the boat and started to clean out the multiple lockers with endless pieces and parts which I always wanted to go through and decide what I need and what not. But also it was only early June, the first Hurricane of the Season planed to stop by in La Paz. And I definitely wanted to leave before that. So I pulled up anchor and left.. This time my course was north and I found shelter in Puerto Escondido. A natural Harbor well know for it's good shelter. But unfortunately the whole bay got swallowed by an Investor and now there rules only one thing and that's DINERO DINERO DINERO. Too bad. Enjoy the episode.. Sailing and fishing in FIJI You would have to get up early if you want to beat Rob at the hooking game. Today we head to Fiji's famous left hander, Cloudbreak, where Rob got three big ones on the same line and the first one was a whopper. We get a chance to practice our man over board drill when the dragging pace gets too much for our new crew. And we fire dance like troopers, then Ivan holds the crowd in the palm of his hand as we dance in to the night on Mana Island. You may notice a small difference in the film and colour quality of the video in this vlog. Unfortunately, the camera settings got changed by accident and we didn't notice for some time.
