Nous qui, avec le fort vent des derniers jours, nous étions faits à l’idée que Barbuda serait exclu de notre circumnavigation, nous savourons l’inopiné ! Dans 30 mètres de fond, et malgré le courant, Black Lion se laisse manœuvrer sans objections. Son meneur y met tout son cœur, et pas seulement à le contrôler. Il veut, au travers de l’œilleton de ses caméras, absorber son auditoire à la navigation. Lui procurer des sensations, lui transmettre des émotions, lui faire sentir jusqu’aux embruns… et l’emporter d’un virement de bord à l’autre dans le bleu magnétique d’une navigation généreuse. L’ile, discrète, nous ferait presque penser aux reliefs des Tuamotu. Même l’entrée, dans un dédale de récifs se pratique comme là-bas, avec l’aide du soleil. Gravnor Bay, 90 centimètres sous nos quilles, Blacky lévite au-dessus de dunes aquatiques habitées d’une multitude d’espèces tropicales. Même si je vais beaucoup mieux, il est encore trop tôt pour moi de pouvoir aller les observer de moi-même. D’ailleurs ma moitié le voit bien que je me sens mieux ! J’ai retrouvé mes deux mains gauches ! Du moment où je m’affaire au rangement, mon manque d’adresse redevient ma marque de fabrique ! Les vagues fracassantes rendent la côte au vent étincelante de caractère ! Chaque brisante sur la roche calcaire noircie par le temps, contraste somptueusement avec le bleu généreux de l’océan et le vert luisant des raisiniers. Ce spectacle de puissance n’est qu’un faible aperçu de ce qui a dut s’abattre sur cette île lors d’un des plus puissants ouragans jamais enregistrés dans l’Atlantique nord, Irma. Quatre ans après, les cicatrices en disent long sur la violence que l’on n’ose à peine évoquer ! Rien que le souvenir d’Erica en Nouvelle Calédonie, pourtant inferieur d’une catégorie, reste effrayant dans nos mémoires, alors comment concevoir des vents à 360 kilomètres par heure ? Rien ne peut résister à une telle force, mais ça ne dissuade pas les investisseurs de reconstruire hôtels et restaurants de luxe à Coco Point. L’affaire doit être alléchante pour oser de nouveau prendre le risque ! Mais comment ne pas succomber à autant de beauté ? In this episode, we spend the summer of 2021 doing boat projects, meeting our new granddaughter, discovering new Blues artists at the Big Blues Bender, and running through Disney World at 5:00 in the morning. Really? Who does that? Who voluntarily wakes up at 3:00AM, gets to EPCOT Center at 4:00AM, takes the monorail to the Magic Kingdom, walks two miles to the starting station, stands in a corral until 5:00AM, in the cold, in the rain, and then decides to run a 10k before the sun comes up? Well, us and 9275 other people, that's who! We had a great summer. Our daughter had a baby, little Emi. She's adorable. And her big brother is so proud. We had a zipper put in our stack pack, so we had to learn how to take down our main sail, take off the stack pack, and put it all back together. We also had an opportunity to clean the mildew and algae off the sail while it was down. We installed two new solar panels and had new Jack Lines made for the boat. Thank you Yacht Riggers and Gulf Nautical in St. Petersburg. And we spent four days at the Big Blues Bender in Las Vegas, again! What an amazing time. This year there were 85 shows to see, and it was great hearing all the new music. We took lots of video, and put some of the highlights in this episode. Without doubt the biggest buzz on the dock in the 2021 race has been on the pier where all the Two Handers and final finishers are berthed; so we thought we’d finish our Hobart coverage with a walk down the dock, chatting to a few of the crew as they relaxed or started preparing their boats for the return trips to their home ports. We tore ourselves away from our comfortable marina slip in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and head south, rounding Mexico’s little ‘Cape Horn’, Cabo Corrientes on the way. Despite setting ourselves up for an easy day sail and we regained our sea legs, we got a lot more wind than anticipated and had to abort our planned passage anchorage in favor of an unexpected overnighter. Despite the rough seas, it felt great to get back out on the ocean again and putting some miles under the keel as we make our way toward Mexico’s southern border. Вышли из бухты Калантос на острове Наксос в 6 часов утра. По дороге на остров Аморгос делали остановку для купания около острова Куфониси.. Пришли на Аморгос до обеда. Дорога заняла 3,5 часа (расстояние между бухтой Калантос и островом Амаргос 12 миль) На острове Аморгос команда разделилась по интересам - кто на пляж, кто по магазинам. Мы же с Юрой и Аней взяв в прокат машину поехали на юг острова на галечный пляж Святой Анны. Именно там в 1988 году проходили сьемки французского фильма "Голубая бездна" французского режиссера Люка Бессона. В главной роли снимался Жан Рено После поездки вернулись назад в Аегелию ( там в бухте мы стояли на якоре) Пеpeкусили в одной из местных таверн, погуляли и поздно вечером Андрей (наш капитан) приехал за нами на тузике и мы вернулись на катамаран ======================= We left the Kalantos bay of Naxos island at 6 o'clock in the morning.
