Parker bought Seawind in 2016 with his entire savings and no clue what it would take to turn her into what she is today. He slowly tackled project after project, transforming this old boat into what he envisioned when they first met with the help of his dad and a few friends. Parker met me (Katy) halfway through the five and a half year refit, and we have been inseparable ever since. Together, we have come a long way. We have learned the beautiful and brutal lessons that the water and life has to offer. We have come to know heartache and loss and to dance despite it all. As individuals, we are doers. I work a full-time job in the nonprofit sector on the go, and Parker is creating these videos, sharing our story, and keeping the boat afloat. We have come so far in our lives and have so many aspirations, but truly would not have got to where we are today without each other. Sailing Seawind is our unique attempt at showing how we choose to live with a lighter carbon footprint; how we plan on making our mark on this ever changing world. It’s a place for us to show that every one of us is connected… and that we will all go further together. We are so happy to have you as a part of our story. Welcome aboard!
