This year we have decided to have no special goal with our sailing, but just to go with the flow and end up where ever the wind takes us. And so far this has been a very nice way to sail. Once again we are spending winter 2024/2025 at Marina Salinas in Torrevieja. We do like it here. Wintermonths means boatwork and this year we are doing some upgrades which we are really happy with. We decide to sail back to Spain for the winter. The captain got sick on the first day of our three day passage to Mallorca. So I spend the first 48 hours alone in the cockpit managing the boat. Then in Spain we got hit by a fishing boat while we were at anchor in broad daylight. Sailing life is not always sunshine and calm seas, but never could we have imagined being hit by a fishingboat at a well known anchorspot. This happened mid October 2024. We leave Sardinia crossing the Tyrrhenian sea and our first stop is the little island Favignana. Then we move on sailing the south coast of Sicily finding it was quit not what we expected so we change our winter plans. Sailing and anchoring along the wild south coast of Sardinia. Finding that it is a lot of space in the anchorage even in July and August. Every anchorage with it´s crystal clear water and beautiful landscape and lovely people makes us want to come back one day. Continuing our spring sailing around the beautiful Balears before heading back to the mainland and Marina Salinas in Torrevieja. While winterberthing in Marina Salinas we fix our leaking window, take a few roadtrips and finally start our sailing season 2024. It feels so good to be at anchor again. Heading back to the mainland to meet up with friends and to enjoy places we missed last year. But again life happens and we have to cut our sailing month short. Leaving Torrevieja in end August with our mind set on spending September in Menorca. We sailed a lot of Nautical Miles, had a lot of strong winds, but did they take us to Menorca???
