Ep 157 | This episode we say goodbye to The Marquesas Islands and sail down to the Tuamotu Archipelago. First we arrive at Makemo, then we sail around the islands Fakarava, Tahanea, Toau and Rangiroa! These are small atolls in this island group but we were stunned by how beautiful they are. The water is crystal clear and when we snorkeled we could see so much underwater! The cuts into the atolls have rough seas, but the insides are the calmest we've ever seen! Ep 149 | The wait is finally over! After hanging out in San Blas Islands we sailed to Colón to start our journey. We made a stop at Shelter Bay until our scheduled time. We hired two line handlers and a captain for our crossing. Once they joined us the next day, we completed the first leg of the canal. We spent the night in Gatun Lake and finished the rest of the trip on the next day. It was such a fascinating ride watching how the canal works. Ep 148 | We're finally here! Panama is a beautiful place. The canal crossing was scheduled about a week out so we decided to spend that time to explore the area. We visited the temple in the Panama City, picked up the girls and headed back to the boat. This week, one more guest joined us for the adventures! We explored the different islands and met some locals. They are so amazing and welcoming. Ep 146 | We loved being in George Town! It's such a cool place to hang out, connect with other sailors and especially to come with kids. This week we visited a few cool places while we waited for our rudder to be repaired. Once it was done, we picked it up and managed to get it fixed back onto our boat. Everything looks good so far! We spent a couple more days hanging out, going to church and doing an "Art Walk" on the island. This week we started our journey from Nassau and after visiting Church we started our sail towards the Exumas. The sail was beautiful but once we were cruising along the shallow waters something unfortunate happened, a rock hit our rudder and destroyed it. So we had to send it off to be repaired. Luckily we found the right person to do it once we arrived at George Town. We also met up with Amani, our sailing buddies from last seasons. After a few weeks of figuring out all kinds of issues with our boat, we're finally making progress! We spent our last couple of days in the USA in West Palm Beach, doing more repairs. The weather was not perfect and the sail to the Bahamas was a little rough. So we flew Ruby and Gina out while us the boys sailed down to Nassau!
