We build a new bimini for Nutshell. We are constrained by the shrouds and the mizzen mast, so it’s quite difficult to work out where to put it, but we get there in the end. Magnus cleans the stainless steel on the bowsprit with a miraculous concoction. You have to see it to believe it! We head to our friends’ house to do a day of canning and end up with plenty of jars full of burgers, meatballs, spaghetti sauce and savoury mince. while sailing on the Pungo River we started taking on sea water, We made it to the beautiful town of Oriental, North Carolina. We keep calm and continued to the free dock. We travelled through a VERY shallow cut, caught 8 fish and visited the ruins of a house demolished by Hurricane Irma. The farmer survived Irma in the open and was only rescued three days later.
