The penultimate day of the 2023 GC32 Lagos Cup saw light-wind racing take place just off of Portugal's Meia Praia beach. Five races were sailed with the Danish Team Rockwool Racing - led by Nicolai Sehested - securing three race wins out of five, and Christian Zuerrer's Black Star Racing Team taking the other two. Stuart Childerley, GC32 Racing Tour PRO, spoke of the racing, "Today was a good day. Everything fell into place for us, the race team did a really nice job adjusting the course, adjusting to the conditions and the wind strength, so it was a really good day. We've had big lumpy seas, light shifty winds - you get a bit of everything here." The final day of the 2023 GC32 Lagos Cup kicks off from midday on Sunday 25 June 2023.
Four days of racing at the GC32 Lagos Cup came to a conclusion today on Portugal's Algarve coast with a run-away victory for the Nicolai Sehested-skippered Team Rockwool Racing. Race Day 1 saw five races in conditions of up to 20 knots. The Danish Team Rockwool Racing - led by Nicolai Sehested - took first place in all five races on the opening day.

K-Challenge Team France was the dominant force for the first half of this GC32 World Championship, held in Lagos, Portugal, but for the second half it was Christian Zuerrer's Black Star Sailing Team which overtook the French after today's third of four races. This afternoon they were crowned the flying catamaran class' fourth World Champions.
The two top boats edged further away from the eight other flying catamaran teams on the penultimate day of the GC32 World Championship, being held in Lagos, on Portugal's Algarve coast. The fourth GC32 World Championship takes place 13-17 July in Lagos, Portugal.
At the half way stage of this fourth GC32 World Championship, the full 10 race schedule has been achieved, half of the fleet have won races and there is an unexpected stand-out race leader in K-Challenge Team France.
Unexpectedly given the forecast, PRO Stuart Childerley managed to pull 5 races out of the bag today in extremely mixed conditions. It was a cracking start to the GC32 Worlds for America's Cup teams K-Challenge & Alinghi Red Bull Racing.
