This video shows the Pacific Crossing of Shaima from Puerto Villamil in Galapagos, to Nuku Hiva Island in the Marquesas in May 2022 and the arrival and first days in Nuku Hiva, where we rapidly fell in love with the Polynesian Culture in this remote and beautiful island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Shaima sailed from Fort Lauderdale to Panama in March 2022, enroute to its Pacific Xing 2022. This video depicts images of our stay in Belize and Roatan

The Panama Canal crossing is an iconic passage for any sailboat and sailor. It is a rite of passage, the opening of a new and exotic world for sailors of the Atlantic basin, many of which have dreamed about sailing around the world since very young. It is also a site of reunion before starting the exploration of the Pacific Ocean and the Polynesian islands and culture.

My passage from the Chesapeake ended in Pt. Judith, RI. And so is where my short New England cruise begins. I attempt a day sail to Vineyard Haven but do not have the tides right in Vineyard Sound so I put in to Tarpaulin Cove for the night. I reach the fun little town of Vineyard Haven the following day, which also has a supermarket within walking distance. Then it's once again trying to solve the puzzle of winds and tides to get around to Hadleys Harbor, an old favorite. We had such a great time in Capri, our sale down to a volcano island was amazing. Our Outremer 5x has been an amazing boat for our family. You really get a good idea of what day-to-day life is like living on a boat. The kids swam in 8000 feet of water on the way down to Volcano island in Italy (near Sicily).

We find an absolute gem of an island when we drop anchor in Dominica. Quickly get the boat cleaned up, before family comes aboard to share in the adventures that await us there. This emerald island becomes our favorite thus far :) Enjoy!

26 Октября на Юг и Юго-Восток Сицилии обрушится сильный циклон. Сегодня 24-ое Октября. Прогноз на сегодня дождь весь день, но с перерывами. Временами будет солнечно... У меня единственная возможность съездить в Сиракузы. Это час езды на автобусе на Юг от Катаньи где мы остановились (стоим в местной марине на лодке). Сергей (наш капитан) там уже был и посоветовал мне обязательно съездить.
