A short video of whale sharks, shipwreck diving and some of the best corals in Indonesia. Liveaboard adventure in Cenderawasih Bay. Check our website https://www.calicojackcharters.com/cenderawasih-bay/ to find out more about diving cruises in Cenderaasih Bay, Indonesia. What is so remarkable about Cenderawasih Bay diving? This area is home to Indonesia’s largest marine park, the area boasts stunning tropical rain forests, mist- topped limestone cliffs and some of the finest corals and dramatic wall dives in West Papua. Cenderawasih Bay is one of the only places in the world where it’s possible to see such large numbers of Whale sharks so easily. Divers and snorkelers are treated to a very unique experience as the sharks’ circle floating fishing platforms ( Bagans ) that target small baitfish and squid. The Whale Sharks are regular visitors to the Bagans and hand-fed by the local fisherman who believes the whale sharks bring good luck. Interacting with Cenderawasih’s resident giants is truly a lifetime experience. Another highlight in the area is Manokawri Bay, which provided safe anchorage for the Japanese during the second world war. Numerous wrecks are scattered around the bay. Several wrecks are currently accessible to reactional dives with many still to be discovered. The wrecks are covered in corals and home to a large variety of sea life. Some of the boats are still remarkably preserved and you can still see ammunition, helmets, and cargo. Underwater exploration has only just begun, and we expect more surprises to emerge from these extraordinary seas.

This is the best sail we have ever been on, it was absolutely stunning. It's also the best sailing drone footage we have shot. In the one we sail from Utö in Finland across the Baltic and in towards Stockholm. The nigth sail can sometimes be exhausting but sometimes you can be rewarded with fantastic sunsets, amazing night skies and sunrises also. There were a few hairy moments in the night avoid shipping traffic but that's all part of the fun I guess. So that's it for 2019, and we are excited to start a new season of sailing very soon. We hope you are all safe, cheers, ,Chris and Tanja

Sailing into Tarawa. A Kiribati welcome Sailing into Kiribati OFF the beaten track Hello KIRIBATI ! Getting OFF the beaten track EP62 We spend our last night at sea and arrive in Tarawa, Kiribati. It's our first ever visit onboard 'Double Trouble' to a country in the northern hemisphere. And boy, is it hot and humid! After a very quick check- in process, we set about getting re-provisioned and resupplied. Fresh veggies are in short supply and very expensive, ( $24 for a cabbage) but we get enough supplies onboard for a few weeks of 'off the grid' exploring. We have favourable weather, so its time to up the anchor and head north 40 nautical miles to Abaiang atoll, where we drop the hook in the beautiful clear water of the lagoon and look forward to a few weeks of R&R. We are Jo and Rob and we are here to share our sailing adventures with you. In 2016, inspired by the likes of ‘Delos’, ‘Sailing La Vagabonde’ and ‘Gone with The Wynns’, we sold up everything we owned and bought our 40ft, Fountaine Pajot ‘Lipari 41 Evo’ sailing catamaran ‘Double Trouble’. We had no sailing experience whatsoever, so the past few years have been a huge learning curve. We thought it might be fun to document our travels for anyone thinking of following a similar lifestyle. So far we have visited 7 different countries and sailed over 13,000 nautical miles. We have had many unique experiences that would not have been possible in our prior life and we don’t regret a second. We're both super keen on protecting our precious environment, so amongst other things, we both follow a plant based diet. You wont find any fishing footage on this channel! Patrick Childress gives an update and review on our Coppercoat antifouling , as well as the Propspeed on our prop and shaft. Patrick shows how we applied Propspeed and some tips and tricks for applying Propspeed to the KiwiProp. But, be sure to watch the official how to apply Propspeed application video as noted below. There is another world cruising sailboat that launched at the same boatyard, two weeks after ours, who traveled the same route, and is sitting in the same water near to us. Patrick uses his Seabreathe hookah to examine the two boat bottoms and see how they compare in antifouling results. Which one has prevented the marine growth better? You won’t believe the difference between the two boat bottoms. Our boat, with the Coppercoat antifouling cleaned as easily as wiping dust It is great to now have a sailboat where cleaning the bottom of marine growth is quick and easy! March 2018. Hey again guys and thank you for watching! Our last episode was us in the Bahamas in March of 2018 and I’m sat waiting to upload this video in April 2020 in a very different World than the one we used to sail in but with much of the Planet confined to their homes, we think the least we can do is try and bring a smile or two to peoples faces via our videos. I hope we can manage that. We hope everyone is happy, healthy and safe and that you continue to enjoy our adventure with us. In this episode we visit pigs that live on the beach and watch at least a couple of tourists get bitten. We swim with sharks right by our boat (we don’t get bitten) and consume far too much rum. Our anchorage was absolutely perfect in a couple of meters of crystal clear water, just outside the Staniel Cay Marina and a perfect dinghy ride over to the Thunder Ball Grotto where the James Bond film of the same name was filmed. We made some new friends in the Yacht Club and even managed to meet up with the guys from Tapati Nui (Ep 44) again for a flash dinner. Looking back thru the footage to edit this video fills us with so much pleasure and gratitude that we actually got to live this life. Please leave a comment, a thumbs up and share to help us build up our channel again. If you guys enjoy and want more, we’ll keep making them for you. This chill out music mix is a journey into sound. And an epic 4k drone footage adventure through the Mentawai surf islands of Sumatra. For a free download of the audio version, click here: https://followtheboat.com/chill-out-music-mix-2020/ The project started as a simple music mix using some of the chill-out, ambient electro tunes we've showcased in previous episodes. But then we decided to introduce a few new ones. And then we thought, why not add some of the stunning Mavic 2 Pro drone footage which never made it into our episodes? So we created this ambient journey to kick back to and watch, listen or do both. It is a true reflection of our progress through the Mentawai Islands, starting at Asu, through the Mentawais, around to Krakatoa and finishing in Jakarta. Once underway, we anticipated dodging rain clouds but we didn’t expect the need to avoid racing yachts. We thought we were going to have more than enough wind to keep a fast pace, but the surrounding squalls sucked away all our wind. About half way through our sail the sky cleared and the sun came out of its hiding place. The nice weather brought strong winds and even stronger gusts. We did a couple of sail changes. Then we caught a FISH! Our dry spell had finally ended. We were excited to get anchored and cook up something tasty. Before we threw our anchor we noticed a huge swell that was rolling through the anchorage. I set up a swell bridal in hopes to ride the wave from bow to stern instead of beam to beam, while Brandy found a nice parmesan crusted fish recipe for the nice Cero mackerel we just caught. It was delicious! #sailingsaoirse #sailingstmartin #wecaughtafish big love, beau, brandy, and our salty dog, oona

***WE ARE NOW ON PATREON*** Become an honorary member of crew and support our films https://www.patreon.com/sailingfairisle THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT :) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You Tube are now putting mid -role adds on videos, but there is a way to see the current videos with no adds at all before they get released to the public. By becoming an honorary member of crew and joining our Patreon group you will have three or four days to see the latest video before anyone else with no adds, as we have demonetised the videos before general release. And as we post in real time so you'll know exactly whats going on! EP16: Spain is beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel relaxing some of the restrictions for workers on shore and talking about further changes after 26th April. We are not yet clear what that means for sailing. Meanwhile we have been keeping spirits up on board. On the rare occasions it has been sunny we have made it out onto the nearby deserted island for some exercise. We are lucky to have that respite. We have also reflected back on the Golden Globe Race where we filmed the skippers two years ago preparing for 9 months in isolation as they sailed single handed around the world. Back on Fair Isle we’ve been catching water and Steve had his hair cut. Please do make sure you subscribe it costs you nothing but helps us get seen by YouTube. We get ourselves settled into Sutton Harbour just in time for some very bad weather to blow through. Finishing up our last few miles after having just sailed to Plymouth from Waterford, Ireland - we up anchor at sunrise to pull into our winter home at Sutton Harbour Marina. While checking in at the office we run into Dan of Sailing Uma, and although he invited us over for coffee, by the time we'd taken our showers and walked over they were just heading out to take care of some business. Luckily we have a few nice and sunny days where I'm able to give a tour of our home for the winter, because just after that, the seasonal storms set in. On a particular day when the winds were forecast to gust to 50 knots, and waves rolling into the harbour were said to be 5 meters, we grabbed our cameras to go check it out. We found the inner harbour wasn't nearly as bad as the reports said it would be, but after looking at all the bucking boats in Queen Anne's Battery Marina, we were very happy to be safely tucked behind a lock. Just after Christmas we met up with the marketing director of Sutton Harbour, Claire, and her partner James. They took the three of us on a wonderful ride out of town where we were able to experience Dartmoor National Park, and then take in a beverage and clotted cream at the Two Bridges Hotel. A great introduction to the Plymouth and Sutton Harbour area, and we know we could not have chosen a better spot to winter over with Elements. Enjoy! Much love from England! This film brings you back to 1990. Around the Americas was an expedition by sailboat Asma around the North and South American continents. Clark Stede and Michelle Poncini departed Germany sailing the 43-foot aluminium boat Asma. Their aim was to make America's first circumnavigation. Im the first part: Departing Germany Sailing to Greenland The Northwest passage In 1993 on the day when they cross the line their logbook wrote: "A wonderful feeling that The circle of a dream closes, the circumnavigation of America has become a reality ". America's first circumnavigation was over. In our wake lay the Northwest Passage, the western coasts of America, the magical Cape Horn, the white splendor of Antarctica, South America, the Caribbean and the east coast of the USA. And in the 1300 days we experienced the extremes of our planet at 38,000 nautical miles: lulls and storms. Tropical heat. Icebergs and pack ice. The wonderful, most diverse landscapes. The spectrum America, from 75 degrees 38 minutes north to 65 degrees 35 minutes south, rewarded us with a lot more: the people and the peoples of America that we got to know. We experienced the peoples and their cultures up close. The film was made by Guenther Berauer, Clark Stede and Michelle Poncini. That’s why you see it on Umadum sailing. It's our FINAL day in quarantine and we are elated with anticipation of getting out of the apartment after 15 days of quarantine! We are busy as bees, making granola and getting our bikes ready to hit the pavement as soon as we are freed. We need to pass 2 temperature tests though before we are given our "freedom papers". No garbage bags or messing around this time!! It's time to break out of jail! At the end of the video, there is a special surprise for you all and a thank you for supporting us through our quarantine. We had a lot of ups and downs, but in the end, we are thankful for all that we have been blessed with. Here is Brown KILLER granola recipe: Brown-Town Granola (adapted from Alton Brown) https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/granola-recipe-1939521 Ingredients 3 cups rolled oats 1 cup whole almonds 1 cup pecans/pumpkin seeds 3/4 cup shredded sweet coconut 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons regular molasses (not blackstrap because it is too bitter and salty) 1/4 cup coconut oil 3/4 teaspoon salt 1 tsp vanilla ½ tsp cinnamon Directions • Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. • In a large bowl, combine the oats, nuts, coconut, and brown sugar. • In a separate bowl, combine maple syrup, oil, and salt. Combine both mixtures and pour onto 2 sheet pans. Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to achieve an even color. • Remove from oven and transfer into a large bowl. Add raisins and mix until evenly distributed. I like it really well cooked so leave it in longer if you like. ENJOY and let us know how it turned out?! #china #qingdao #covid19 #coronavirus #quarantine #quarantinelife NEW TO OUR CHANNEL? We are Eileen and Brown Councill. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too! As a viewer, we consider you to be part of our family and look forward to getting to know you. Don't hesitate to comment on our videos and ask questions. We will do our best to answer every correspondence! All we ask is that you have patience with us as we work really hard to improve our camera/video techniques and ability to tell a story. Hopefully, you will be as BLOWN AWAY from watching, as we are in experiencing and producing our adventures! HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT US? If you wish to support our video efforts, all we ask is that you SUBSCRIBE, give a THUMBS UP, SHARE our videos with your friends, AND COMMENT! WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET TO KNOW US MORE DEEPLY? I'm back and I'm super excited to renew this channel and my vlog. There are some awesome episodes coming up so subscribe and don't miss out! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Chris. I used to run a successful financial sales business in Vancouver, Canda. Four and a half years ago I realized I was living a life that wasn't mine, full of things I didn't really want. I short, I was miserable. So I sold my business, radically changed my life, and have never looked back. I've spent the last 3.5 years traveling the world on a sailboat with my young family where we've been fortunate to be able to go on adventures to remote places and connect with people from cultures far different from my own. This is the place I get to share those stories. This channel is more than just a sailing channel. It's about providing you with a lens into parts of the world, people and histories that are not often seen or heard. There are many ways to live life on this planet and I've been fortunate to experience a few radically different ones. My hope is that by watching my videos you learn something about the outside world, or about yourself that challenges your perspective and perhaps shifts it in a way that brings maybe just a little more peace and happiness to your life. Much love to you all. PLEASE SUBSCRIBE: https://bit.ly/2HPyDWB CLICK THE BELL to know when new Videos are up! Is plumbing on a yacht ever an easy task? It seems not. There are always little things that go wrong like upside down mounted water pumps, wrong sized hoses, wrong sized pipes, and the dreaded LEAKS. We navigate our way through plumbing up our Island Spirit Catamaran while in the middle of a yacht refit WHILE living on board. This is all a juggling act and we are learning along the way. We also tighten our rigging up with the help of the one and only Chris Boock, Colben learns how to climb up the rig and tighten the shrouds. Finally we figure out what is wrong with our salt water pump, we get the salt water connected to our toilets and we connect our deck wash. Follow our journey with us, for now we are refitting but hopefully we will be adventuring in the near future.

Chasing the America’s Cup was never the end goal for Santa Clara, California sailor Sean O’Halloran. Instead, it was about pursuing ever greater skills, experience, strength, and endurance any way he could. From bartending in Newport, to the proving grounds of Oakcliff, and then on to a shore team position at American Magic, his mindset was to finish each day as a better sailor than he was in the morning. In June 2019, Sean was offered a chance to step onboard DEFIANT as a member of the sailing team… but only if he could pass a test that few in the world would even attempt. To earn a spot onboard an America's Cup boat, would you upend your entire life, home, and career, embrace years of training, sacrifice and uncertainty, have enough faith in yourself to pass one, final, decisive, grueling test... and then keep passing that test until the Cup is won?
