A typical Portland day made for great conditions to test the boat, with approximately 2m swell from a big blow the day before. This is some unedited footage (with a bit of music added over the top of the wind noise) of the new Edencraft 565 heading around Lawrence Rock and towards Cape Bridgewater. Powered by a 150hp Mercury, the 565 cruised along beautifully at 20-22 knots demonstrating it's deep vee offshore pedigree alongside the 233 Formula we filmed from. Check out more about the new 565 at: https://www.edencraft.com.au/the-boats/565/ _______________________________ Want to see more video rundowns of every boat to leave the Edencraft factory, full Edencraft TV episodes, customer reviews and more? #WeAreCruise Clean Cruising For family-owned and operated specialist cruise travel agency CleanCruising, they’ve spent the past 20 years striving to set a legacy for the travel industry in Australia. COVID-19 stopped them in their tracks and they’re shifting their focus to how the industry adapts to a ‘new normal’. “This was an industry that was on an incredible trajectory, every month there were new ships coming out of dry docks, they have a huge commitment to sustainability, great innovations on ships to improve the guest experience. There were more Aussie’s cruising every year - we’ve really taken to the seas.” Learn more about how the cruise suspension is impacting travel agents. #WeAreCruise
We love to talk about what our unique Edge ML technology can do in terms of smarter, more efficient and sustainable IoT. Here we want to show you how easy the product (code) is to deploy to your already existing, connected products. In this #13 #openfika webinar we are entertained by Ekkono's CSO, Melissa Jenkins. She demonstrates Ekkono's Qt 5 QML integration, to show how quick it is to integrate our Edge Machine Learning onto your device. Melissa teaches a computer “Hello World” in two different programming languages, using Qt Design Studio. This is probably me our most teaching and entertaining #openfika Webinar so far!
It was a (very) long 5 months but we completed the LAST piece of our external boat refit by building and installing our new bulwark design, inspired by the Lyle Hess Bristol Channel Cutter's. It was a lot of work, but SO worth it! In this video we share how the bulwarks made with Cumaru, fastened with custom made bases, and tied it all together at the end. Thank you all for your support during this process! YOU helped keep us motivated to finish projects and get back out there to go sailing again! Sailing the Atlantic Ocean, albeit a very small part of it, for the first time was an amazing feeling as we made our passage from Newlyn around Lands End and up past Longships Lighthouse to what turned out to be a simply awful anchorage at St Ives. We are Andy, Melissa and Jack, a sailing family based in North Wales, looking for a bluewater sailing yacht to take us around the world. We currently have a very small 24ft Snapdragon Sailing yacht based in Caernarfon but there are bigger boats on the horizon. Beating Into A Tropical Storm | City Floods After 3 years of No Rain | Winded Voyage 4 | Episode 101
The forecast was pretty accurate. A tropical storm was on our way and I would be sailing right into it. I was beating into a tropical storm. We had left our last anchorage in Tarrafal a bit too late and found ourselves crossing the Sao Vicente canal as the storm was coming. I was a storm that hasn't been seen here in Mindelo in about 10 years. Streets are completely flooded and people are dancing in the rain! Eventually it passes and I managed to collect over 500lt of rain water. I also found a temporary solution to my autopilot problem. Because soon we will be heading out on a big sailing adventure. #tropicalstorm #sailing #flood Some say it’s The Best Sailing Channel on YouTube! Agree or disagree, make your voice heard. YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF THIS CATAMARAN - But It's Our Newest Contender - The Max Cruise 42 -MJ Sailing
There's a brand new catamaran design being launched, and we've just added to our list of contenders. The Max 42 by Max Cruise Marine. http://maxcruisemarine.com/ Get more up to date information and behind the scenes action by becoming a Patron! http://patreon.com/mjsailing Our goal is to spend the next two years building the perfect catamaran for ourselves. Originally we had narrowed it down to the Oram 45R; the Grainger Raku 44; and the Schionning Arrow 1360. But along the way we began talking to another company which is coming out with a brand new catamaran design. Unlike the other choices, which are foam core flat panel kits, the Max 42 is comprised of 3 dimensional modules. The exterior will arrive to us with a gel coat finish, which means we wouldn't need to spend nearly 10 months of our time sanding and faring ourselves, preparing it for paint. We think there are a lot of great options with the Max 42, and it easily made its way into our list of contenders of build we be starting this year. Just make sure to stay tuned in the next few weeks when it goes in a head to head battle with the Schionning Arrow 1360, and we pick a winner! Thanks for watching! Thank you SO MUCH to our Patrons. This is Part 2 of our passage from Panama to the Galapagos. Along the way we got the chance to haze our kids since they're not Shellbacks yet, like we are. Every ceremony is different, but we tried to make it fun and memorable. Not too many people get the chance to cross the equator by boat! POSTING LIVE UPDATES ON SOCIAL: https://www.instagram.com/the_sailing_family/ https://www.facebook.com/the-sailing-family-voyage/ ----------------- ABOUT US: We are a family of five sailing around the world on our "dream boat," a performance catamaran named "Archer." Ten years ago, before kids, we sailed a Lagoon 380 named "Honeymoon" halfway around the world to Sydney, Australia. Along the way we shared our experiences with family and friends via YouTube, and by happenstance created one of the earliest sailing channels still posting. We also realized what an incredible experience we were having and that someday we wanted to do it again, only this time with our kids. OUR BOAT is a Ferrari red Outremer 51 performance cruising catamaran. We chose this boat as it has been specifically designed for the purpose of bluewater sailing. It was designed and built to withstand the stress of "sailing multiple times around the world safely and in comfort." And yes, she's nice on the eyes too. OUR ROUTE has taken us from the Boston/Cape Cod area of the United States down to the Caribbean and then through the Panama Canal. At the time of posting this we have dealt with the Coronavirus lock down in New Zealand and are now cruising again in Covid Free Fiji. PLEASE COMMENT!: As a "family channel," we are required to actively monitor all comments, but we still want to hear from you. Tell us what you think! THANKS for watching all.

#popolidelmare Info su https://velistipercaso.it e http://nomadizziamoci.it --------------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright © 2020 Tutti i diritti riservati. We get the first of the kites in the sky and see how it looks and dry it off before stowing it away in the forepeak.
In this update I show how we park an Open 60 with 4.5m /15ft draft right at the end of the dock.
If you're laying your boat up for the winter, then there are some vital steps to take to ensure that your pride and joy will be ready again next season. Tom Cunliffe talks through a variety of expert tips, including what to do with your engine, batteries, heaters, safety equipment and sails. If you've ever spotted a beautiful Pearson 36, crewed by an even more beautiful couple, sailing off their anchor, there's a good chance you'll be in the background of a new video from Sailing UMA. Dan & Kika stopped in Bergen on their way to the Arctic and invited August Sandberg onboard for a chat.
SV Freelance returned to the wilderness of Isle Royale in 2020. This remote National Park, which is close to the Canadian border, is always a wonderful Lake Superior destination — and in this plague year of 2020 its natural social distancing was greatly valued by Vicki and I. We spent several days at the Windigo dock and also at our favorite anchorage in Chippewa Harbor.

Facebook Live Event Video Replay • The Snares Islands, Subantarctic Islands of New Zealand Aaron Russ and Isaac Wilson host a discussion and Q&A about the uninhabited Snares Islands, including a trip down memory lane as Aaron reflects on his time living there as a young field researcher. While at university, he spent six weeks one winter in The Snares conducting research on Buller's Albatross reproductive strategies. Because no landings are permitted in the Snares, the vegetation is unmodified and hosts an undisturbed habitat for birds and seals, including Snares Crested Penguins, Fur Seals, Hooker’s Sea Lions, and an estimated 18,000 Buller's Albatross – all of whom were Aaron's neighbors! Visit our website for more information on our expeditions to the Snares and other Subantarctic Islands of New Zealand: https://www.heritage-expeditions.com/subantarctic-islands-cruises/

Barrett and I leave Mission Bay in our sailboat and head to La Jolla on a calm and smooth Saturday morning. We spy on another (*3rd) Mako shark outside Mission Jetty and make our way north to the La Jolla kelp beds. A light wind puts us on a perfect ‘Sail Drift’ through the kelp for a little bit of peaceful fishing. I jump in the water to check out the underwater jungle of the La Jolla kelp. If you like my new ‘slowboat fastmoto’ sweatshirt in the video, check out my niece on Instagram, @estitched, and send her (or myself) a note. She handcrafts these sweatshirts and more. We thought we had hit the jackpot when we came across a cheap yacht hidden away at the back corner of the boat yard.
