This was the first proper sail of the season and I decided to sail around the Isle of Arran, Scotland, from Largs Yacht Haven. Heading down the East coast first, past Holy Isle and Pladda Island and then up the Kilbrannan Sound, past Lochranza and back across through the Cumbraes to Largs. Was a longer and more challenging solo sail for me and looking forward to getting out again. Sula is a Hanse 385 (2013). thanks for watching.

After saying goodbye to Severin we sailed through whale cut (which is known for having rage 😡) too Marsh Harbor to provision with as much food as our wagon could hold. This was our first cruise with just us as a family. We were nervous not having Severin onboard with us but did well juggling kids sails and weather. Don’t forget to comment like and subscribe!

We bought a Beneteau Oceanis 373 in Greece last winter to sail around the Mediterranean and see Europe. Mid April we flew from Canada to Athens to move onto it and start preparing the boat to launch beginning of May. Many exciting things to come stay tuned!

We hiked up to Franchthi Cave and explored inside. Frankhthi Cave is an archaeological site overlooking Kiladha Bay, in the Argolic Gulf, opposite the village of Kiladha in southeastern Argolis, Greece. then we went out for dinner at To Mouragio and had an unexpected firework show on the walk home.

Thank you so much for all of your advice on last week's video. Join me this week as I try to eliminate one possible cause - leaks on the roof. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, and fingers crossed it helped at least a little bit. If nothing else, I now know the roof is definitely not leaking from these areas! Other things that happened this week include: I've done some shopping for roller blinds, looked for a computer desk that will fit, and I fell down the steps into the boat - well it was bound to happen sooner or later! Next week's video will be a culmination of 3 weeks work - removing the radio and replacing it with a bookself...lots of cursing was involved. Amazing holesaw hack video I mentioned: https://youtu.be/aP_Wg1pGO0Q

Provisioning a sailboat to sail west in the med, Its time to check out of Turkey and head back into Greece but yet again we have a few delays...something is wrong with our rigging, we rescue a sick street cat and Jason contracts the spicy cough! We stock up our boat full of food and supplies, ready to head back out sailing for the 2022 season in the med. We show you how we provision for the first time. Then we notice something doesn't look right on our rigging and we now need our forestay which will set us back another week and Jason contracts that un-namely flu! Just for your information: about the cat, what I mean by shelter, it’s not a shelter where they’re caged up…it’s in a lady’s house and big backyard where she looks after several animals and they’re all socialised together. We will keep this as an ongoing donation page throughout our travels and will keep you updated on here and our social media as we spend the funds If you would like to donate, here in the link :) https://www.gofundme.com/f/aussies-caring-for-the-street-animals-of-world?utm_source=messenger&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1 Thankyou, you are greatly appreciated! Two and a half years we had waited for this moment and boy did it not disappoint! From backing out of the marina and getting stuck on next doors boat, to finding out we had no forward gear and hitting the jetty. This day really, really tested us to say the least. But wow, the minute the sails were hoisted, everything was forgotten and we had a beautiful sail. The yin and the yang. It is so interesting in the boating world how one moment everything can be going wrong, and the next, everything right. Watching the footage back bought back painful moments (for the boat and for me- Becka!). Seeing myself respond to the stress by internally combusting and asking Paul for help was quite eye opening to look back at..something i really need to work on. But there we go, hoping that sharing our experience makes at least one person out there feel less alone in their boating struggles. 〰️〰️〰️〰️ Episode 7 I Chapter 1: Beginning Boat Life [UK] 〰️〰️〰️〰️ 👪 Join the Tribe on our *Patreon* https://www.patreon.com/teulutribe 👕Pick up some *Merch* https://www.teulutribe.com/ 📷 Find us over on *Instagram* https://www.instagram.com/teulutribe/ 💬 Connect with us on *Facebook* https://www.facebook.com/teulutribe/ 🛠️ Teulu’s always trying to break herself, our *Amazon Wishlist* is here https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/2045NNIGRTMQT?ref_=wl_share ☕ Treat us to a *Cup of Tea* https://www.buymeacoffee.com/teulutribe 📧 *Business Enquires* teulutribe@gmail.com ☑️ *Subscribe* for a new video every Monday *About Our Boat* - Name pronunciation (Tay-Lee), its Welsh, feel free to call her Too-Loo/Te-a-lu/Teaugukug/Tulu - 1987 Colvic Victor Ketch - 40ft/12m - Two Cabins - Encapsulated Keel and Skeg-Hung Rudder - 13 Tonnes *About Us* We are Becka and Zach, a couple who, in 2020, dreamt of sailing off into the big blue. Trouble is- we were in a pandemic, had a university degree to finish, on a student budget, only had ever sailed dingies, oh and didn’t have a boat. The dream seemed not only unrealistic but pretty insane. However, we worked hard, finished our degrees, worked as many hours as physically possible, saved with all our might, got experience and in March 2022 bought our very own sailboat, Teulu. Having little sailing experience and being a young couple, we have encountered a tonne of hurdles and made plenty of mistakes! but for every downfall, there has always been a reason to dust ourselves off and carry on. SOLD!! This is a very well built cruiser, made in Vancouver, BC! The bright and airy cabin is a major selling point for this boat as well as the general layout. The forward cabin has a door for great privacy, and aft of that is the full head with shower. There is a nice size galley and dining area that converts to more sleeping area if needed. There's a propane stove and oven in the galley along with hot water on demand that's also propane fired. There are 2 helm stations, with auto pilot and chart plotter GPS on the lower station. The engines run and drive just fine and have always been professionally serviced, they have about 1650 hours on them each. The main salon area is very bright with huge windows and a couch that converts into another double bed to make for a total of 6 sleeping capacity. The floors in the main cabin are an updated teak/holly laminate and make for a nice clean and nautical look. The upper station has a bimini top and seating for 3-5 people. This boat comes with a custom made dinghy/tender with both electric and small gas outboards. There is a diesel heater system on board for those cold nights and early mornings! Please feel free to contact us for any and all details! Check out www.shuswapmarina.com for more pics and a walkaround video. This is a consignment sale. No trades, thank you. We will not include tax in any negotiations.

When I arrived in Cape Verde after a hectic passage from Lanzarote, I was feeling so emotionally drained and fatigued that I wasn't sure if I would continue my journey across the Atlantic solo, or in fact, at all. I had Sophie help me put together several options to either stop in Cape Verde and have the boat delivered by Professional Yacht deliveries, or have a couple friends fly down and join me on my leg to the Caribbean. But after spending some incredible times around the island, I felt like a new man and realized that my initial motivation for undertaking this passage hadn't changed and that I would be hugely disappointed if I did not finish what I had started. And so here I am today, about to finish what I started, and while I hope this time passage will be smoother, I am confident in my ability to meet whatever challenge I am faced with... ⚡ Get 10% OFF Dakota Lithium batteries with code RYANANDSOPHIE sitewide, on all orders at: https://bit.ly/43C4ulL ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ** GEAR WE USE ** ⛵️Our boat: Polar Seal, 2007 Beneteau Oceanis 40, owners version (2 cabins layout). PROVISIONING FAILS & DANGERS A SAILORS FOOD FOR THOUGHTS! Sharing my fails and mistakes but also some food for thoughts in terms of weight and how much you can load your boat. Building arches adding solar panels, dinghies, and all the other extra you put on your boat is actually eating off your provisioning capacity. Also where you place things is important for stability and in worst case can ruin your boats safety. I belive this things is important to reflect over as a long distance sailor, and sharing my experience and knowledge with some self irony and humor as well. Even though I have decades of sailing experience I keep doing mistakes and especially typical live aboard things. Being a sailor or a long distanse sailor is same same but different. That's why I share my mistakes and experiences as is. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING AND SUBSCRIBING! You can also follow sailing with Thomas on other platforms for almost daily updated pics and videos, and even find yourself a new T-Shirt: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sailingwiththomas Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sailingwiththomas Shop: https://sailingwiththomascom.wpcomstaging.com/shop/ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Sailingwiththomas ABOUT THIS CHANNEL: I`m sailing sailing around the world in my Bavaria 55 Cruiser, making videos whenever I have time for it. Most of the time I sail singlehanded but occasionally I do have sailing friends onboard. Still in the Caribbean due to Covid and was supposed to be in Asia by now. Even though this is season 4 on youtube I did not make that many videos in the beginning. Before full-time sailing, I have sailed several seasons in the Med prior to this, and obviously also in Scandinavia. I have been traveling the world before and also been an active regatta sailor. I had my first sailboat at age 7 and been sailing ever since. Also more than 10 years experience from Search and Rescue at sea in Norway. PLEASE BE KIND IN THE COMMENTS! I'm just a normal person sharing my travel adventure through my eyes and experience from my perspective! Remember how I do things might work for me but not for you. It might even not be the correct way to do things, and I don't have the blueprint either. I'm not perfect and nobody is. The day I believe I know it all and don't think I can learn new things I should go ashore.

Sorry this episode is a bit short, the next one definitely makes up for it! We are trekking all around Mahon trying to find passport offices and officials so we can check out of Menorca and the EU as a whole because since Britain left the EU we can now only spend 90 days in the Schengen area before we have to leave the EU entirely and spend 90 days outside the EU, for us this season that is going to be Tunisia, before we can return again to Europe, its a real nightmare when you're trying to sail the Med! As well as the legal shenanigans we are desperately trying to get all our essential jobs done before our three day crossing to Sardinia! Remember to tune in next week to see if we get our steering working done and how our big crossing goes! Thank you to our wonderful patrons, you are really helping to make all this possible! Don't forget to pop over to Patreon to watch all the extra footage, and get all our episodes a week early. We are really enjoying this life and sharing everything with you it's been wonderful . Thank you very much, you guys are amazing supporting us with your likes and comments, we really feel that we have a new family out there. Much love Carla & Simon A little bit about us... We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.

Fred travels to Angra dos Reis to help his friend Raphael from Renew Boats install the cooling system on the sailboat Le Baron. After visiting the KM Open Days in 2019 (video is also here on YouTube in this channel), we came back this year, sailing to Makkum on board of our new Viator Explorer 42 DS "VOLT". KM is one of the best yachtbuilders for aluminium yachts worldwide. We show you many different boats from KM, including the new motor yacht Bestevaer 53. They had mostly refit projects to show, but also 2 new large yachts in an early stage, welding the aluminium hull. If you are interested in aluminium yachts, you will find in this video a lot of information and nice examples of boat building. If you are interested in our Viator Explorer 42DS, please visit our homepage at www.viatormarine.com for more information. #aluminiumyachts #viatorexplorer42ds #ve42ds #viatormarine
