We found a little friend while moving our family sailboat from Bellingham to Port Townsend through the Puget Sound. It was further away than the camera made it seem, which is why we weren't sure if it was a log or a seal??... In this episode we are back from Suva and get settled into an apartment in Namaka (area of Nadi), Fiji. We then start to explore, looking for beaches and historic sites. As for historic sites, we find that Momi Bay Historical Park, the official touristy maintained gun battery south of Nadi, is closed for COVID reasons. But later we continue north of Nadi and find another gun battery, Lomolomo, that is just....there! No fences or tourism advertising or signage to keep anyone out. And there's wild lemongrass growing all over the place, with some curry leaves too! The first beautiful beach we show you with the horses is Natadola Beach near the Intercontinental Fiji resort. We show you the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, which is a cool collection of orchids from all over the world. We stop by Vuda marina where we see the catamaran Amanecer up "on the hard" waiting for Rob and family to return after cyclone season, as well as Patches. And we visit Lautoka. To be honest we didn't get a great first impression of Lautoka. Lastly we say goodbye to Fiji....returning to record cold weather in Vancouver. Stay tuned to find out what's next! **Particularité sur Oceane :** Grand voile avec baume enrouleur Profurl MK2 + Pataras en patte d’oie + Mat d’origine (35 ans) + Le gréement est en tête et il n'est donc pas "fractionné" comme les bateaux récents de plaisances actuels. Les barres de flèches ne sont pas poussantes. **Rematage** - Présenter le bateau dans le bon sens pour la bascule du mat sur la grue - Fixer le bateau pour qu’il bouge le moins possible au quai fermement - Atteler le mat sur la grue et le présenter sur le pont - Poser le mat dans la gorge du pied de mat - La grue en marche, nous remettons en place nos 4 ridoirs de la première barre de flèche et les bastaques - Puis les galhaubans et haubans - Enfin nous mettons en tension le pataras (avec patte d’oie) à l’arrière et l’étai de l’enrouleur de génois à l’avant. - Nous détachons le mat de la grue et passons à son réglage. Tuto **Réglage du mat Sparcraft Feeling 1040/1090 très simple :** - On met en tension ferme les Bastaques (câbles inox vers l’avant et l’arrière du mat). on regarde dans la gorge que le mat soit bien droit ! - On règle ensuite l’étage le plus haut avec les galhaubans et vérifie que la tête du mat soit bien alignée et qu’il n’y est pas de quête (que la tête du mat n’aille pas vers l’avant ou à l’arrière). - On hisse un décamètre en haut du mat avec une Drisse et on prends la mesure entre le haut du mat et les bas des galhaubans. On règle la même longueur sur l’autre coté. Nous l’avons refait trois fois pour avoir une dimension exacte de chaque coté de 13m45cm de mémoire. - Enfin on règle l’étage intermédiaire (bas haubans). Vous verrez que votre mat peut au milieu partir soit à gauche soit à droite comme un serpent. C’est impressionnant la souplesse d’un mat... *Malheureusement, très peut de gréeur professionnel on l’outil tensiomètre car il semble coûter trop chère d’après plusieurs avis professionnels puisque cet équipement est lié à la taille du câble. Donc par habitude, le gréeur se fis à la tension en bout de doigts. - Une fois le mat bien droit et sous tension, on règle la quête. Ankerwinde mit Kettenzähler, daher sind beim Ausbringen der Kette spezielle Markierungen für uns sehr wichtig. Die Preise dafür sind allerdings abenteuerlich! Stand 25.04.2022, ohne Versand: - AWN: 50Stk. 35.-€ - Compass: 50Stk. 20.-€ - Ebay: 50Stk. 29,50€ Wir entschieden uns daher für die Compass-Markierungen. 2 Sets mit zusammen 100Stk. Die 50m Ankerkette wird alle 5m mit den farbigen Markierungen versehen, nach folgendem Schema: 05m= 5x weiß/5x gelb 10m=10x gelb 15m=5x gelb/5xgrün 20m= 10x grün u.s.w.
