It's been a long time since we released an episode, and we owe you an explanation. The explanation is tacked on to the first part of this episode, and it involves a major technical difficulty due to loss of media! Then with the update out of the way we continue where we left off in our series, with part two of the Ha Giang motorcycle loop in northern Vietnam. Just one more Asia episode to go! Thanks for following! Video edited by Jea, using Adobe Premiere Elements. Visit us at http://www.onfilandtime.com/

► This new catamaran, which we were able to discover in Saint-Raphaël a week before its official presentation, marks a clear shift in terms of architectural choices. ► First comes the flybridge with helm station: until now, this configuration started with the Samana 59, while the smaller FP models made do with a twin helm/maneuvering station offset to starboard. Then there are the solid foredeck and forward door. No more trampolines! The FP55 thus aims to satisfy both the charter and Owner markets, with the emphasis placed more on comfort than performance. Inside, the builder offers numerous layout options - we were able to discover the Maestro version with five cabins. Finally, it is worth noting the substantial power of the optional ODSea+ propulsion system, equivalent to the 80 hp engines fitted to hull #1, which we tested. ► Technical Specifications: Builder: Fountaine Pajot Length: 55'8" (16.98 m) Beam: 28'10" (8.8 m) Draft: 6'1" (1.85 m) Light Displacement: 32.1 t Sail Area: 1,894 sq ft (176 m²) Powertrain: 2 × 80 hp or 2 × 50 kW Fuel: 2 × 161 US gal (610 l) Price: € 1,395,000 ex-tax ► www.fountaine-pajot.com ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 600 multihulls tests! Flying along today with a top speed at 8.9 knots, not bad for an old steel sailboat! We found a beautiful anchorage to drop the hook, then finished the day with some homemade sushi. 🍣 All the hard work goes into getting days like this. #sailing #boatlife #cruising

The water here is 19 degrees as opposed to 30 degrees in the sea so quite a difference. With the hotter temperatures comes some strange weather patterns so we've also had our share of dark clouds and heavy wind. That's made sailing difficult at times but we have now managed to get south to the beautiful Maddalena Islands If you are interested in checking out the HOVERair drone here's a link: https://dada.link/GBZ7ve PATREON: We couldn't make these videos without the support of you, our patrons.

How does the Absolute Navetta 58 perform when pushed to its limits? In this sea trial, Maurizio Bulleri puts the yacht through a series of dynamic manoeuvres to evaluate its handling, stability and overall comfort underway. The result is a yacht that feels remarkably balanced, carving through turns with precision while maintaining speed, efficiency and reassuring control. Even at higher speeds, onboard comfort remains a priority, with low noise levels and a composed ride. With a top speed of around 28.5 knots, the Navetta 58 demonstrates that confident performance and long-range cruising can go hand in hand. Watch the reel for a preview—and don't miss the full review on The Boat Show YouTube channel: . https://youtu.be/T0Yj3GOEW1Q . @absolute.yachts @mauriziobulleri #TheBoatShow #AbsoluteYachts #AbsoluteNavetta58 #SeaTrial #YachtPerformance

In my last reel, I talked about adventures being “an activity with more than a modicum of uncertainty in the outcome” and how there would be a few adventures on the way before we kicked off the big trip in January 2027. It only took a week or so before that statement became very true. This reel covers some of the preparation of Margaret Pearl for the trip. As we were on board recording the footage that follows, I moved a sail bag on the deck which bumped a bucket which knocked over the tripod on which my mobile phone was mounted which fell onto the rail of Margaret Pearl and ejected my mobile phone from its Mount into about 4 m of water in the berth at St Kilda. The whole scene was very reminiscent of the game of mousetrap.

The Most Generous Village in the South Pacific? 🍫 Sailing near the equator is a game of patience. With the wind completely dead, we motored our way to the northern tip of Vella Lavella Island to a place called Pas Pas Kato. Our arrival was a comedy of errors—paddling for miles in the blistering sun looking for a village, only to find ourselves deep in the mangroves. But what started as a failed supply run turned into one of the most heartwarming encounters of our trip. Before we could even ask, a local family began loading our kayak with fresh produce, proving once again that in the Solomons, hospitality is the only currency that matters. In this episode, we go beneath the surface to help our new friend Ken maintain his seaweed farm, an incredible and sustainable industry that is transforming remote island economies. We also explore a unique "Reception Island"—a spot where the ruins of an old cacao competition now serve as the only place locals can catch a phone signal. Ken also walks us through the entire Cacao process: from fermenting and drying the beans to roasting them over an open fire. We combine his hand-processed chocolate with our own freshly squeezed coconut cream for the best hot cacao we’ve ever tasted. To say thank you, we head out to the reef to spearfish for a massive community beach BBQ, ending the day with a feast of cassava, fish, and seaweed. There’s nothing quite like hearing about the Horizon Yacht experience directly from the people who live it. In this owner testimonial, George shares his experience with Horizon Yachts and what has made his journey of yacht ownership so memorable. From the quality and craftsmanship of the yacht itself to the relationships, support and personal service behind the scenes, it’s an insight into what being part of the Horizon family is all about. At Horizon, building a yacht is only the beginning. It’s about creating something that reflects each owner’s vision, supporting them throughout their ownership journey, and building relationships that continue long after delivery. For George, that experience goes beyond the yacht itself. It’s about the people you meet, the places you explore, the time spent on the water, and the memories created along the way. Hear George share his Horizon story and what keeps the experience so special. www.horizonyachtaus.com

What if you could retire early, spend less money, live on a sailboat, and wake up to a free sunset every night? That’s the dream we’re chasing. Instead of waiting until traditional retirement age, we’re exploring a different kind of retirement: living on a sailboat, traveling, saving money, living simply, and enjoying life now. In this episode, we’re out on the water enjoying the beauty of Annapolis, Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay, with sailing, fall weather, crabbing, blue crabs, sunsets, and the simple pleasures of living aboard a boat. Our goal is early retirement—not necessarily having millions of dollars, but figuring out how to reduce expenses, live off the grid, travel, and make our money stretch further. PLEASE SUBSCRIBE Could living on a sailboat actually be a realistic way to retire early? We're documenting the entire journey—from buying and fixing up our boat to learning how to live aboard, cruising the Chesapeake, and eventually heading south toward Florida and the Bahamas. As inflation, housing costs, gas prices, market uncertainty, and concerns about the economy continue to make traditional retirement more difficult, we're asking a different question: What if retirement didn't have to look like everyone else's? Could you trade a mortgage for a boat? Could you trade expensive vacations for a life of cruising? Could you spend less and actually enjoy more? This is our journey toward early retirement, financial freedom, sailboat living, cruising, travel, and an off-grid lifestyle. 🌴 Sailing Annapolis ⛵ Living on a sailboat 🌅 Free sunsets 🦀 Chesapeake Bay crabbing & blue crabs 💰 Saving money & early retirement 🏝️ Florida & Bahamas cruising ☀️ Off-grid living 🔋 Solar power & lithium batteries 🌊 Traveling by boat 🍂 Fall sailing And yes, we're watching the bigger world too—from the economy and recession concerns to BTC and Bitcoin, inflation, gas prices, and the upcoming midterm elections. But our answer to an uncertain future is pretty simple: Own less. Spend less. Travel more. Live now. Subscribe and follow along as we turn our sailboat into our home and head toward the Bahamas. #EarlyRetirement #SailboatLiving #LivingOnABoat #Sailing #FinancialFreedom #Annapolis #Bahamas #Florida #ChesapeakeBay #OffGridLiving #marinas

I vowed never to ride a moto-taxi again, but the people here in Africa changed my mind. Meet Mamgol, a 64-year-old mast climber built like a jockey who helps us tackle the wind meter issue. But just as we thought we could get some work done between storms, trouble arrived adrift. A massive storm made its presence known in the early morning during coffee. Nothing unusual during the rain season here, except this storm was very unusual. Terrifying winds blowing at over 70kts blasted though the bay like a hurricane. Usually the winds die down after a few minutes, this went on for nearly an hour. In the chaos a steel boat broke free and nearly hit us. Following behind was a big barge which was anchored 500 meters away. It had drifted dragging its anchor and was less than 10 meters away now. I faced a nightmare scenario on deck. I was expecting the worst and hoping for a small miracle. Watch how we navigated the danger and the sheer power of that storm. Life in The Matrix? Maybe. Life in the bay in Dakar, Senegal? For real. 00:00 Intro 00:26 Never say never 01:13 Pollution nightmare 02:31 Top helper 03:21 Into the rain season 04:07 Trusting the forecast? 05:25 Morning fury uncut 07:14 Barge is loose 07:55 Intense close call 08:49 We got lucky 09:15 Next week Some say it’s The Best Sailing Channel on YouTube! We sail into Ao Hat Yuan on Koh Phangan, one of the most beautiful bays I’ve ever visited. With no road access, the beach is only reachable by boat, and somehow we had the entire anchorage to ourselves. We spent the day swimming in crystal-clear water, riding the e-foil, relaxing in our floating pool, and paddleboarding to shore with the dogs for lunch. Then we finished the day with an incredible dinner at a cliffside restaurant overlooking the bay. This is exactly why we love cruising Thailand — finding places like this that feel completely removed from the rest of the world. A new EXperience is here. What if going out to sea could be simple again? You don’t need to be an experienced sailor or know everything about sailing to fully enjoy the experience. There’s a moment, just before casting off, when nothing has been written yet and anything is possible. The sea is beautiful, the day unfolds with the tide, and the horizon is waiting for you. That’s the moment we wanted to make accessible. And that’s how the EX range was born 👉 Ready when you are. 🚤 1 first model: the EX 34 🔹 2 versions: Cabin and Hardtop 📍 Making its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 | September 8–13 ________________________________________________________________ For more than 60 years, Jeanneau has passionately supported those who love the sea with their quest for happiness and excitement on all the oceans, with the aim of making boating accessible to all. A giant squall. Two rainbows. Breaking waves. 34 knots of wind. And one wave coming straight through the hatch while I’m sleeping. As the weather deteriorates, I’m changing headsails, switching to the storm jib and reefing the mainsail while Loveworkx is being thrown sideways by the waves. There isn't much sun, so I have to run the engine to keep the batteries charged. Then the front arrives and the wind increases to 34 knots. Through the night, Loveworkx keeps speeding towards Mauritius, with waves breaking against the side of the boat. And once again, I’m amazed by how well the Windpilot keeps steering the boat through it all. Read the full story: https://sailing.loveworkx.com/sailing-the-indian-ocean/ 💙 Love my videos?
