Every night I have to pull my dinghy out of the water and every morning I have to put it in. I take it out of the water so that sea creatures don't grow on it. The tension on halyard caused by holding the dinghy up makes it sing like a guitar string when the wind blows which makes a really annoying sound inside the boat, so I wrap another line around it to cut the vibration.

Cat landed a 103 pound tuna during the night bite using the jig featured in the video. She was using a phenix rod and talica reel and was bit on the retrieve. 2/3 hooks were bent by the time the fish got on the boat. These tuna fought mean! Thanks to the crew for guiding, gaffing, and coaching her to land it!

In this episode, we sail to Emerald Bay, Catalina Island, in search of a vacant, protected anchorage. Emerald Bay gets a little rolley and there were already two sailboats anchored in our preferred spot. We divert to the Isthmus Cove and drop the hook in about 90 feet of water.

Nico Lunven was hit by a jib sheet on Team Malizia last night as the fleet sailed away from Itajaí towards Newport in Leg 4 of The Ocean Race. He suffered minor cuts and abrasions to the face, has been consulted by a doctor and is fit to keep racing and taking his regular watch. Nico Lunven has still been able to keep doing his routing through the night and commented: "I feel like a boxer who has lost a match but it is ok".
