We left the BVIs heading to Saba, St Kitts, and Nevis with a great overnight sail. We did some awesome diving and touring, and then met up with a great group of Cruisers in Nevis -- which actually included two other Balance Catamarans (Umoya and Catalyst/482). After some great time on the water, we crossed over to Antigua, which we loved last season. During our stay at Green Island, a foil mishap had some more Balance owners (Alani) stitching Frank's foot. But the Race is on for Kirsten Neuschäfer of South Africa who is leading by 90 miles on the second placed boat. With a 23-hour compensation for Tapeo’s Indian ocean rescue, she looks unbeatable, but it’s not over! First they need to negotiate the heavy traffic in the Bay of Biscay after months sailing empty oceans, and Abil-ash Tomy of India, on Bayanat, is not slowing down!

"We've spent these first hours of the race trying to get to the gradient wind offshore," said 11th Hour Racing Team's Simon Fisher, on Sunday evening. "It's going to be tricky with the clouds." "The wind is very shifty," said Kevin Escoffier on Team Holcim-PRB. "But we have to deal with it. Instead of going for a big bet it is better to play with the small shifts than going for a big change. When you are not sure, it is better to be safe."

Dans cette épisode, on fini notre tournée Bahamienne en retournant à notre point de départ; West End. On retraverse au États Unis en navigation de nuit jusqu’à West Palm Beach puis on vogue tout doucement dans l’intracostal en route vers Indiantown, Florida! On commence tout doucement à préparer notre Iguana pour sa sortie de l’eau et son storage pour la saison des ouragans. Tout ça est filmé de fin mars à début avril 2023! Bonne écoute!
